no the fish was hooked between the middle and bank, I fought it and pulled it closer to the bank, I didnt take any chances of slipping into Deep water if i did. but in the end I still end up getting wet.

Yes i released it around the trees on the other side. where i can get down to the bank safely. It was out of the water maybe 3-4 mins tops.
