I have this lens. It may not be the fastest focusing lens, but for sports like football, motorcross (bike, car, snowmobile) and animals (dogs and cats) it's been plenty fast for me. And the image quality is stunning to say the least. Pixel sharpness is available here. Absolutetly the most versatile lens I have. Landscape, portrait, action, wildlife.. it does all of it.
