I like the fact he uses short clips of Norwegian dialogue. It really gives a bit of authenticity and credibility to the artist. It's not like he's trying to pretend he's some British or American artist.

I'm always a bit wary of non-English-speaking musicians performing songs in English. It sometimes just doesn't sound like they're singing what they're feeling but rather just making a pop song. In Thomas Dybdahl's songs, the words sound truly heart-felt. I found out about him from the Morcheeba song, Riverbed.
