  • Woo, great scatter by the Marbo guy. :D

  • It's fun to do this mission on a small table with a relatively small amount of points :D

  • STAR WARS!!!!

  • lol the marine played hot potato with it! ;P

  • Actually, the guys name is 'Sly Marbo', just so you know. XD

I always feel a link to your proxy-models:)

    That's a cool store!

I'm soooo glad my local hobby shop doesn't sell cool toys too...man that would be an expensive trip!

I'm loving the I.G. suicide commando:)

  • Sly Marbo?

  • this is true

  • yeah dore, having practically all of your crap come in 2nd turn helped you tremendously, I would've shot hell upon everything you had.

yesss you didn't edit out the damn right thing.

oh btw, marbo has a BS of a 5 so the blast wouldn't of hit me!!!! ARGGGG

  • it still would have, you scattered 9 inches back toward yourself, minus 5 would have been 4. added to a 2.5 inche radius and it would have taken out your guy who was exactly 6 inches away. It would have been closer, but remember in 5th edition the blast marker just has to barely touch.

  • Hey doremicom could you suggest some good tactics for a 1000 points or 1500 grey knight squad e.g. all the demon hunters and stuff i got a game coming up and he is orks i was thinking of going with grey knight rush and chapter master for orbital bombardment

  • Honestly, I'm not that well versed as a demon hunters player... but remember that the grey nights (troop choices) can shoot 36" with psycannon/24" with storm bolters, have pretty solid armor saves and when other units fire at them, they have to roll 3d6 and multiply by 3 to see if they can detect the grey knights. Take one or two as objective holders/longish range fire support.

  • Doesn't that guy with the orange hair have a tau blog on here

  • sort of. Russell has been playing kroot for a while. His channel is Warhammernidsblog.

  • The best for most armies to counter the new IG is to rush them with transports (ie Rhinos), get in close and hit their tanks w/ meltas (powerfists) and flamers.

Many IG players are taking a LOT of Chimeras (their transports), remember you can shoot the transport (with a melta), kill it, and then assault the guys who were inside the transport :) (with the squad that you shot with).

  • I don't think you can assault guys coming out of a vehicle you fired on. Can you give me a page number if you feel that your rule is correct?

  • Certainly :)

    p. 67 "However, if a transport is destroyed (either result) by a ranged attack, the unit that shot it may assault the new disembarked passengers, if it is allowed to assault according to the assault rules."

It is a rule that often gets overlooked, but against Mech Guard, can win the game :)

  • Thank you so much... I feel like I've read the rules over and over and still I didn't see this. This is a sizable departure from 4th edition where this was not allowed.

  • Hey no problem ;) 5ed is all about the "little changes" that have a big effect on the game.

  • what is the most efficient way for Black Templars to beat the new IG??

  • The new IG codex is specifically geared toward defeating Space Marines (including BT). I will say that the list I took for this game was pretty good, but I lucked out that 90% of my reserves all arrived on turn 2). One rhino, no landraiders, 2 drop pods, and smaller infiltrating Sword brethren squads. The goal with the infiltrators is to get into close combat and not necessarily beat who they are in combat with, to avoid fire the next turn (it's why I took two 5-man sword brethren squads).

  • ok ok thank you. so (if you've seen my video) would my army be ill prepared for fighting the ig? cuz my whole strategy was to use vehicles and just rush then pop smokes when i cudnt get cover.

  • If you get to go first that is still a sound strategy.
