  • THanks for your videos! I always learn so much from them! I do have one question though, I'm learning reining and have been thinking that I should get a new saddle if I want to take it seriously. however, I have a cutting horse and would like to do low level cutting on her too. Is there a saddle that could work for a beginner reiner and cutter? If so what would you recommend. If I have no other option I will just get two saddles. thank you!

  • @Madlikeness If your cutting saddle is a "good" cutting saddle, it'll be just fine learn to learn the reining.

If it's a "bad" cutting saddle, it won't.

  • Thank you for taking the time to share. Very, Very good

  • Thanks Larry,

Your information was so valuable and clear in these videos. Even though I am not a reiner or cutter. The general information on saddles and how they should be made was excellent. I now know exactly what and how to look for the perfect saddle.

  • Thanks Larry. You have told me things that saddle makers have not. I will be looking closer at the next saddle I purchase.

  • Larry

Now I know what to look for in a cutting saddle.

    Thank you!

  • Again, great video. I purchased a German Martingale from Larry a couple of years ago and still using it. His tack (or the tack he endorses) has been of top quality and design (based on my experience).

    Thanks again.

  • Thanks for the great video Larry! Do you have some advise for saddle pads which help to distribute weight appropriately and keep the horse comfortable or is all that just in the design of the tree of the saddle? Also in these saddle I noticed that there are a lot more holes for adjusting your stirrup length which just makes sense! I can't wait to see what your design looks like!

  • Hi Impulse,

I use a Toklat pad with woolback fleece.

Works well for what I do.

  • I received several answers to my questions from watching both parts of the saddle videos. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge.
