Yeah my friend has the same card and it runs it smooth as butter. I use a 250GTS and run at full tilt with no slow down. We finally got it to slow down with about 800 zerglings on screen at once but it took that. (We stayed after a 2v2 and killed all our drones and built 400 zerglings each incase you were wondering how that happened.)

It is all about harassing in SC2, you never want your opponent to tech up to anything high.

this game won't live up to it's predecessors such as WC3 or SC1. It's so slow paced that there's virtually no multitasking necessary from the fact that from the 2nd game the terran was solely microing his army for like 1 min while not macroing. I personally think this game won't become as competitive as SC1 and WC3.

I'm not sure which game you're watching then friend. This game plays much like the original Starcraft with a strong early, mid, and late game. It's still in beta, so you may be a bit premature in making such a strong assumption about its future "competitiveness". Your comment about the lack of multitasking is strange and amusing seeing as how that is perhaps the core part of gameplay in SC2 and its predecessor SC/BW Basically in my OPINION, you're OPINION is wrong.

Yes they all do. This is because the mining rate for gas is 4 not 8 like in brood war. so they did this for balance between minerals and gas

There were two things Mind did wrong here. The first was he did not pressure zerg and turtled for far too long. The second was that by 8:49 he had two barracks of his three unspecialized. Even IF he was going for higher tech that was a big no-no. It kept his macro a fraction of the zerg who was using his Queen perfectly like any player facing a zerg player should assume.

Because the enemy probbaly have some units before the queen is out, and they need spawning pool to get it and it takes time to spawn it. By then the opponent probbaly have a few Zealots of Marines to fight it off

Mainly because its attack while the fastest in the game is really easy to tank. Its something like 4 damage and the Queen only had 175 health or so. It also doesn't help that in the time it would take for a Queen to get across the map the enemy has already probably built up a decent early game force.

- Lulush Swedish Zerg vs Mind Swedish Terran.

- ESL is Electronic Sports League and seems to be mostly European.

- This was a double elim tourney with 64 players. Lalush won the winners bracket and Mind won the losers bracket. At the finals, it turned into a best of 5, with game one belonging to Lalush for being in the winners bracket.

It is obviously tremendously different. High tech units now completely control low tech, unlike BW series. The counters in the game are much more hard counters. No set timing is known yet. Plus it is like every so often a new patch is released that changes things again.

The game is going through rapid levels of balancing. You got to remember it took several years for BW to develop/fine tune all the lil nuances and builds.

A) Zerg should have expanded at least once more, if not twice.

2) Zerg had his main TERRIBLY unsaturated for the longest time.

c) Terran needed to use drop play instead of just sitting there for 10 minutes. If the Zerg was any good, he would have just had 4+ bases, and literally been unstoppable.
