  • One of Ofra`s summit`s performances.

  • Beautiful!!!

My ancestry is part Jewish/Israeli, and I'm proud of this part of my heritage!

Hello to my Jewish brothers from an Orthodox Christian!

  • single manly tear.

  • All languages are so beautiful when referencing to God or hope...I don't even know what their saying...and I'm tearing up...so powerful...

  • @sexxichic123 Amen. All languages will glorify Lord! :) Best regards to you in Christ! :)

  • Um dia eu ainda saio do "Egito" !

  • Still brings me to tears. I love the Hebrew language very much, even if I don't understand it. And I pray for all religions, and that they all can live in peace togethter one day.

  • that always makes me happy to see people like you

  • Still gives me the chills, after years of watching it. I am proud of being Jewish, and Israeli!

    עם ישראל חי!

  • וואהוואה איזה יופי.

  • A question to all Hebrew speakers. I'm interested in learning new languages, how hard is Hebrew to learn?

  • @heartoftheocean100

it's quite hard to learn to speak it, because it's a semitic language.

learning the rules and grammer (perfectly) is much much harder.

(Hebrew speakers spend 10 years learning it to perfection!)

  • @almogm20 Ah I see. Such a beautiful language though, especially this song.

  • @heartoftheocean100 I'm French, I think Hebrew is not to hard to learn. I learn Hebrew, and for example, in the Hebrew language there is only 3 conjugations, past present and future.

  • @aketo45

Hebrew also has a score around the letters

  • this song is so good and nice it gives me chills

  • Praise to the Lord!!

    It's really a beautiful song!~

  • cutee movie! :)

  • Thumbs up if you're a christian who isn't learning Hebrew, loves the video, and wishes that you could have been there to bear witness to this awesome moment in the history of Israel. Also, Thumbs up if you just plain love these Hebrew language "Prince of Egypt" songs!

  • can somebody please send me the lyrics (normal characters please;-) )

  • @judithm94 /watch?v=W_mz-uhcBWM&feature=related

    cheers from Israel!

  • Hebrew speaking Israeli here.

  • @Elonyy mustoo mustoo? ;)

  • I like the english version, but it makes it more even more special in Hebrew. It gives me goosebumps, it's so beautiful! I wish I could speak Hebrew.

  • @VampireZombieX

you can study you know :)

btw i speak hebrew (im from israel) and understanding what she says is hard because of the length of each word..

  • @ShIrEnZeR That's true. :o)

And I think I will! It must be cool to speak hebrew.

  • @ShIrEnZeR wait... so it's harder to understand because the words are longer? wow. :o

  • @TheRandomlass

its like in english songs when singers extend each word.

makes it harder to understand... but after few times hearing it u understand :)

  • Thumbs up if you think Hebrew is a beautiful language! :)

  • @verduna2

    AMEN for that

  • does anyone else notice that the children's hebrew singing is the same dubbing in every language except for the hebrew version where they have another dub? it's very beautiful. i wish i had the hebrew version on my dvd. alas, i only have english, dutch, swedish and some other languages. the hebrew version should be included in every dvd.

  • @plindiful Yeah I noticed and I wasn't surprised at all. ;) In the "international" dubbing you can still hear the english accent.

  • hebrew is beautiful like arabic i love this movie

  • The last word are my most cherished parts of this song. :)

  • where do I get this video? I really like it it beautiful,

  • Right now, I'm learning Hebrew. I love languages but Hebrew just stood out to me. And I'm also not religious at all, bordering on atheist, and fiercely secular, but I found this movie very touching.

  • This is so touching even as im not religious.

But maybe it doesnt mean that you cant be faithfull.

Weird how this little song can make so many people cry, as so many comments point out. These short 4 to 5 minutes seem to show the best sides of humankind.

btw.. Hebrew is a really beautiful language and i really wanted to hear this but for me the multilanguage version totaly nail it. Im sobbing away several tissues there.

  • what a beautiful sung in one of the most wonderful languages !!!

  • so. beautiful. *tears*

  • Makes me so proud to be Jewish! :)

  • What a wonderful language, way way way better version than an English one :') I got chills..... X) X) X)

  • i think this song is amazing regardless of what language it is in.

  • 44 people don't believe.

  • אשירה לה' כי גאה גאה :)

  • InbarBahat i know how you feel, i"m a levite, same tribe as moses aaron and mariam, it only feels like home if the proper tongue is spoken...

    shalom

  • Simply beautiful and majestic.

  • absolutely wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • somehow it is really painful to watch this movie in every other language.

I guess it is because I'm jewish and this is the history of my people, and It is weird to hear this in a language which is not hebrew.....אכן קורים ניסים...

It is like coming back home after a really long time. I can't explain how much it means for me and for us.

  • @InbarBahat You shouldn't feel pain, you should be proud of the translation to other languages :) Prince of Egypt tells the amazing story of the jews in a way that millions of people would miss out on if it wasn't made available to them through dubbing. It's one of my favourite childhood memories even though I'm not jewish and therefore do not have a direct connection to the story. There are no words to describe how much I respect and admire the jewish people.

  • @InbarBahat is this Yiddish? I'm asking b/c I'd like to learn more about this language and Jewish culture in general.

  • I love how some of the egyptians are like "Screw this. Let's bail."

  • Respond to this video...We also used to prostrate ourselves daily in prayer too. but once Islam copied us, we stopped. it is too bad to let others dictate how we worship hashem.

  • @nana5445445445 Actually we used to use it daily in prayer until it was forbidden, oddly enough first by the Seleucid Hellenists who were trying to stop us from worshiping hashem then soon after when the P'rushim (Rabbis/Rabayam) came on the scene, they continued the prohibition, but this time b/c they claimed it was being used to freely.

  • @ejack786 13th tribe is not factual.

  • @jacobk2 the book is written by a jewish man Arthur Koestler and look up who is Esau-Edom by Charles A Weisman

  • Beautiful language. I would love to learn it some day.

  • @BIOSHIT You think that is funny?

  • Comment removed

  • @BIOSHIT What you realize is for your self, not the truth to evreyone else! For instance I believe in God, it does not matter to me what you realize or what you don't. Claiming God does not excist is disrespectful to the jews, because than you must realize that you take there only hope away from them. If there is a God, the death of 6 million Jews was not for nothing. If there is no God, they died for nothing.

  • @BIOSHIT In the eyes of the Jews (And I do not mean you ''atheist hebrews'') what would you prefer? God or no God?

  • @BIOSHIT why do you think it's disrespectful ? I dunt get it :D

  • hahaahahahahaaahhahahahahaah..............sorry dont get it dude , believe what you want to believe :) doesn't bother me in the slightest

  • can anybody tell me where can I find the lyrics in hebrew?thx!

  • ISRAEL ! <3

  • Beautiful performance, made me fill happier

  • "In Exodus we have an account of the manner in which Jehovah delivered the Jews from Egyptian bondage. We now know that the Jews were never enslaved by the Egyptians; that the entire story is a fiction. We know this because there is not found in Hebrew a word of Egyptian origin and there is not found in the language of the Egyptians a word of Hebrew origin. So we know that the Hebrews and Egyptians could not have lived together." - Robert Ingersoll

    - the jews are incessant liars and thieves.

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem

The earliest record of the Jewish people being in Egypt is from 650 BCE. This is not from a holy book, this is from archelogical findings. I'm actually an atheist, and I'm fairly critical of my religion, but I'm afraid I wont stand for you to erase my history. Good day

  • "The truth is that virtually every modern archeologist who has investigated the story of the Exodus, with very few exceptions, agrees that the way the Bible describes the Exodus is not the way it happened, if it happened at all." -- rabbi David Wolpe from the 2001 LA Times featured article "Doubting The Story Of The Exodus"-

the jews have never been enslaved but rather are the enslavers. The primitive masses are easily fooled through bogus historical narratives such as "The Exodus".

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem Whether you believe the story of Exodus or not, there is incontrovertible evidence that depicts the treatment of Jews throughout history. European history is full of stories of pogroms from those resulting from confusion about the plague to the holocaust. You cannot deny that the Jewish people have suffered years of oppression.

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem well so much for rational dialouge with you

    later

keep hating us, we"ll write you a check

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem Do you actually believe the Jews poisoned the wells? The black plagued originated in Asia. Throughout the middle ages, it was prevalent in southwest China. The Mongol troops entered this area in the mid-thirteenth century, and then branched outward. From there, flea-infested rats carrying the bacteria accompanied the Mongols into central Asia and the Black sea in 1346. Jews were accused of poisoning the wells and were burnt, tortured, and made to leave throughout Europe.

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem Notice the first quote says that the Bible, not the Torah (which is the holy book used by the Jews, also known as the Old Testament) is disregarded. The bible was written by Monks during the Middle Ages. What is studied by Christians was written by Christians, not by Jews. Even if the monks read the Hebrew from the Torah, they had to translate and bitter historical grudges by the Monks could easily change the tone of the translation to a negative one.

  • @BetWinston That would depend on who was doing the translating. The Roman catholic church, being Roman by nature, might have held a grudge(?) against the jews. Also the bible that the catholics translated from might have come from Alexandria, which was a hotbed of heresy and religious deviancy. (Not trying to hate, just putting some thoughts out there.)

  • @MrNobodyinpaticular I enjoy your moderation, and i see your argument. I was speaking about the Roman Catholic Church. But (now that i think about it) since the concept of Jesus being a Holy Man is the basis for the Christian religion, and his death is sometimes blamed on the Jews, a grudge can be held by both Catholics and Eastern Orthodox Christians and Anglicans. Overall, religion is a tricky thing to get a moderate standpoint of, especially the story of the Jews.

  • Beautiful :D and as to the general bickering.....good music should transcend divisions.

  • So pretty in Hebrew! I wish our choir could have sang this version instead of English...

  • Obs: The original languages were Ancient Hebrew and Ancient Egyptian

  • I'm Norwegian, so I don't understand a word... but it has this flow and beauty in it that just makes me shiver :)

  • @malaksable

Hebrew is one of the most beautiful languages in the world :)

  • נדיר... איזה נוסטאלגיה, כמה כח בשיר אחד (:

  • How come everything sounds better in Hebrew?

  • @crazynerdsrock idk.

  • @crazynerdsrock

    you must like jews .

  • @crazynerdsrock what language is most beautiful than Hebrew ? none :p

  • @crazynerdsrock im not sure, but it may be because you heard it as a child and as you may already know, sounds and memory/times of you life are bound together.. which means these songs remind you of your childhood...

although.. singers in this version of the hebrew movie are a lot better in my biased opinion :P.

i think it sounds awesome on both version but the hebrew one is by far a more superior one,

but again... i watched it in hebrew as a kid..

i wished the remade an hebrew full hd version..

  • schir echad sche sharti kwar sche haiti bat 7 :D

  • it's so beautiful it made cry more than the english verion. i wish i could sing in hebrew

  • it's so beautiful it made cry more than the english verion

  • It's "Mi Kamocha" not "mi chamocha"! Otherwise, it's a great song.

  • @darthgrahf Actually, it IS mi chamocha the first time, if you look up 'shirat ha yam' you'll see it is just that way. :)

  • @midleground

Who do you think you're talking to? I'm American, yea, but I'm also Jewish I love Israel SO much, that I'm making Aliyah and joining the IDF. It's my decision to move there to serve and protect the country I love, and it's a huge honor.

  • @JoshTodd91 Right now I am insanely jealous of you.

  • @durendal314 Come join me then :) There is no reason to be jealous... :)

  • I love this song, and in this language, it makes it even more beautiful.

  • I ADORE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 favourites: hebrew, japanese, hungarian, french

  • <3 Beautiful.

  • does anyone knows who are the singers?

    מישהוא יודע מי הזמרות?

    תודה!

    thanks!

    :D

  • @Adamdo17 i think its ophra haza (אופרה חזה) she did the original english so it makes sance

  • @1ziber1 זה קודם כל עופרה חזה

and I dont think this is ofra... ofra sings at first when thay put moses in the water... you hear that it's her there...

  • no fighting

  • @spacekid1000

    Why do you hate hinduism?

  • Comment removed

  • @spacekid1000 Who are you to tell people what not to worship?

  • @spacekid1000 are you really that uneducated?

  • i hope there´s peace in the middle orient, the human being is a gift

  • really? are you really going to argue? us jews have enough problems without us fighting between ourselves.

  • True... and she said just a couple of words agaisnt Mosheh... howeva, we might remember that the whole camp was stopped to wait until she was cured, all by her merit. :/

Yay... I know how that is... racisim...

I'm son of Jewish mother and Lebanese father... she white, dark-skined him... so... we might say m half&half... hahaha!!... so... the point is, when i was in Israeli Elementary school, I was sort of bulled by the other kids by being not-fully-white... so i asked (begged!!)...

  • I'm working with a group of friends all singers to record versions of this in the Navajo cherokee and Hopi native American languages and I'm also gonna try to get a choir together for it too :)

  • I laugh whenever I see this scene. Miriam in the Torah hated Tzipporah for being a dark-skinned Midian, and was cursed with leprosy for bad-mouthing her. האהאהאהאהאהא!

  • @harrignos

M not quiet sure bout wht u say... wasn't Miriam cursed with Tzara'at cuz of speaking lashon ha'ra against Mosheh, instead Tzipporah??....

Acutually, ivrim and midianim were all dark-skinned in that time...

  • @2010DaveH yes but the thing she was speaking lashon hara against Moses was that he married a midian woman(Tzipporah).

It is true that they were both swarthy, but I'm just remembering what my old Hebrew teacher told me, who may be incorrect about the Midian's skin tone. I always thought that it was about racism and such..

  • @harrignos (comes from above... or below... don't really know) ...my mother to get me out from it... so, since then I studdy at normal (for not saying goim) schools... :/

and i must say, i don't miss jewish schools...

    You seem quiet nice... !!

  • Comment removed

  • @candygir7 i don't know what you said before it was removed. i wasn't the person who flagged your comments as spam. however, I do find it rather rude and out of place. did you come here angry, or did my mistake actually upset you? Its nothing to get upset about. As I said, i'm just going by what my old Hebrew teacher(a Chabad rabbitzin) told me, and she may or may not have been right. Also, if you're going to say something like that, then you must have memorized the entire Torah, hm?

  • @harrignos oh yes I said Miriam's lashon hara was about moses having another woman besides tzipora. I am not angry about anything. I said you need to brush up on your torah because Miriam was talking about a different woman & not tzipora. most of the people here online, in USA & Israel are not real Jews and never will be even when hell freezes over. these are all nazis who murdered real jews & took over their identities. read the book Blowback by christopher simpson, and red mafiya by friedman.
