One winterpack is on big backpack, filled with a arctic sleepingbag with outside sheat and a large woolen scarf and hat! Donate one to every kid you see. Make sure the older kids don't beat up the younger ones to get their stuff. Find the places where they sleep and hand them their winter backpack. Buy your supply in moscow city or closeby.

@grimofhell If you will allow me the advice. Something much apriciated is if you hand them what I call winter-survival kits. One kit is one large backpack, like a professionel travelbackpack, filled with one arctic sleepingbag, a protectif cover for the sleeping bag and a thinsulating matress to put underneath. If you can get large amount discount, one winterbackpack will cost you about 110 to a 170 dollars. These kids sleeps in packs so provide equally for one entire sleepinggroup.

@grimofhell You don't need to speak russian to be allowed to adopt but it helps them to communicate with you. They will need at least one hour of full-time atention from you every day and you need to constantly hold and hugh them AND at the same time be very strict and correct so they don't fool you. Finding a balance in that is hard!!!

But if we took a look around our own cities all over the world there are homeless and abandoned young people old people and of course children. If people are serious about helping these people they should begin in there own backyard. I think there is a saying "Charity begins at home"  You can make of that what you will !

@Irfan87 its getting better. I know that orphanages, schools, social services are better funded and that sustance abuse has ebbed. But I also know that homeless kids still exist and condition for their existance are still around: corruption and substance abuse are two main reasons.

When you travel to Ukraine, Moldova, and other former republics, you can tell right away that Russia is much richer. Actually, what you see in the this video STILL can be seen in Odessa, for example.
