If that production assistant guy gave Andy Millman a line in a scene with Samuel L Jackson, then why on earth is Andy being a dick towards the same guy in a later scene, for not letting him on the bus? Angering that guy would seem like the absolute last thing in the world that Andy would want to do! Biggest plot inconsistency I've ever seen. Still a brilliant episode though.

one thing I admire about gervais is its clear he's been through this whole process and he only got lucky with the office as it was soooo low budget (they just rented out a second hand office) and no one in it was famous and he only needed 6x30 mins of film (they produce more and edit some out) and the BBC didnt interfere much as a result of it being so low budget. after the first series aired the rest is history,

Why did Andy told Maggie to shut up for? That was not very nice at all. Can someone tell me why did he tell her to shut up for? What was she doing anyway that made Andy upset?
well the bus driver(or whoever)told andy off not to eat in the actors bus and then comforted him by acknowledging his claim to be an actor(which he isnt).maggie poked her nose in and said "he hasnt"(thats some thing makes her character funny).so andy said "shut up" which is quite spontaneous.well i hope this explains it.
The whole "sitting on a bus" scene is quite poignant, reflective of situations in the US when black people weren't allowed to sit in the same bus as white people.
