the thing is blu's greatest project so far was below the heavens, sometimes when an artist takes on so much he can leave you confused and wanting a back to basics sound, for example when common released electric circus most of us were wanting that "ressurection" sound, the same with mos def when he did the new danger, hip hop needs a black on both sides, be and below the heavens! not some over the top conceptual stuff, however its good to se an artist think outside the box, i want the blu i love

you can't just write off C.R.A.C. and Johnson&Jonson (not to mention EVERYTHING else he's released..) Blu knows what he's doing... And for us to be selfish enough to want to box him into that one, debut project is not right. at all.

Below the Heavens is a classic, but seriously, set it aside for a minute, and check out his other stuff. If you really listen, then you'll have the same faith in him that i do.

@Koopastank I agree completely. tracks like Gone, Vanity, Mars (Remix), Hold On John, are really, really good. That's just to name a few. I like all of his work, but I can understand how some people might not feel that really raw unpolished low budget simplistic stuff that he makes....but if Blu's doing it, I'm listening.

True Story. I was thinking the same thing not to long ago. And as I come to find out more and more of what Blu is into I get more excited to what he's going to do next. I didnt even know he was into writing a movie and the music industry is trying to pull anything... indie music will forever be dope and strong. til infinity.
