I'm sure he is. He just carries himself in the way of a street hustler as opposed to a professional player. Nothing wrong with that, of course. To the untrained eye, aka a sucker, he may appear not to know what he's doing. To someone such as myself, who has seen many hustlers in my day, I'd spot him right away as someone I'd want to play, but straight up, not as a sucker bet. Peace.
Fast-forward to 46:00 to see the shot of the game: a crazy reversing quadruple bank. The 22 shots in a row he makes before it are pretty incredible, too!
Are these guys the best at bank pool in terms of location? Is there any international competition in bank pool or is this the only one that is well-known throughout the world?
You obviously have no idea who they are huh? Freddy is a banking genius and Billy is a pool legend. Let me guess you play 8 ball in APA don't you? You play with a Cuetec and wear a glove don't you? Last one...for a million dollars who is Eddie Taylor?
Im still not very impressed. Obviously Im not as good as they are but I know people who more or less just figure out where to play and then virtually always make the bank shot. These PROS even miss easy middelpocket bankshots.. why?
Slow start, but an exciting finish! Note the table plays by no means easy, watch the cue ball slide off the second and third rails on kicks, how little reverse remains after the first etc.
What happened with the balls from 23:10 - 23:17... they moved and now he has a completely different shot. The 15 was by the side pocket, the 6 was on the bottom rail and the cueball was at the headspot.... what the hell? This is the part I was wanting to see, how they get the 15 out of the side pocket's jaws, or the 3 rail that moves the 15. What the crap?
You are absolutely right! They cutted pieces of the match not wanted to be seen. it is like "look how good they are, they never miss..." Sure they were playing with those two balls for a half an hour without putting anyone, so they decided to cut..
You don't know what you're talking about. It's a Diamond table with pro cut pockets. They arent loose and they arent tight. You are supposed to play bank pool on loose-medium tables, you dork.
this is insane

I met Grady Matthews before at a pool hall in Holland, MI. He was putting on an exhibition there and I got to warm up with him.

Gotta love Ike 14 minutes in, just close enough to a mike to hear it. And Scott right after, "We're gonna let that one go."

Ike looks more like a hustler than anything else. lol. Certainly not someone you'd want to cross cues with in a pool hall.

If you touch a ball with your hand, isn't that supposed to be a foul? Or am I wrong?

It's at Scott Smith's discretion.

hey UK guy...normally you are correct but this is a diamond table w/ big time shims = small pockets and not very receptive edges.

I watched the first 10 minutes and Jeez this is an easy game.
Do americans realise how massive the pockets are compared to ours over here in the UK? Doubles are so easy on these tables.

Parts 1 & 2 were terrible, but seriously, the last 15 minutes of this video are incredible.
