How can we call an invasion to a country if the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan asked for help to the USSR? First a brigade, then they asked for a batallion and at last the complete 45th Army. While 80,000 afghan's people Army deserted each week to the mujaheedins. Thanks to Charlie Wilson, Kissenger and Zbigniew Brzezinski NATO is fighting the Al-Quaeda terrorism. Boomerang effect.
Anyway, search Russian Soviet Afghan War Song "Karavan" on YouTube, it's attached to that. So much trouble for an alternate translation, eh?

My Russian isn't all that good, but I think this is a more accurate translation nonetheless:
I wouldn't be that nit-picky about it, but it changes the meaning of the song somewhat, especially the third verse.

Alexandr's Rozembaum song. NATO Troops hunting caravans from Pakistan like our boys did in the 80's.
