Aye you need to rehome the oscars and bala sharks. They grow huge, and will only deform in a smaller tank. It's also not about keeping it crystal cler,, it's about keeping the nitrates down. In response to the algae issue below, had 2 30min breaks with The lights off in the day. Algae struggles with inconsistent lighting.
over stocked for a 29 gallon because those bala shark's get at least 12 inche's and two oscar's you need at least 125 gallon minimum .So your pretty much headed for destuction better restock for sure!!!
hi, i have a 10 gallon tank and i just cleaned my tank just a few days ago and my water is already cloudy i only feed my fish once a day and only have my light on at night i was wondering if it could be from the iron in my water or somthing else im out of solutions if you could please write back to my that would be great!
@alex21131 that happens to me but i run my light all day. i have 3 fish and i clean it and put a new fliter pad in there and within 4 days of cleaning it gets a lot dirter already
@superbowlchamp08 i still have the same issue... i changed my filter pag every 2 weeks or so.. im at the point where i might get a whole new filtration system.
it feel good to know im not the only person out there with the same issue
@superbowlchamp08 i know how you feel man, i dont get alge but i get dirty water, somtimes the water will be just brown almost after a week from cleaning idk i just got a new 20 gallon and iv had it running for 2 weeks and its still crystal clear idk im thinking i need a new filter for that dang tank
@alex21131 whats ur set up and how much did it cost? what filtration system jsut the penguin 100 filter or what ever or do you have like a fan thing or something
@superbowlchamp08 its a 20 gallon mairland kit so it came with evrything (heater filter clear and blue led light ect.) the filter is a penguin 150 biowheel. so far the 20 is awesome water is still clear. But the 10 with the crappy filter is cloudy again and that is marina or somthing like that. so if you are looking to invest in a new filter id go with the pengiun bio wheel
The water looks amazing. But with that many fish packed into such a small tank you still have to do frequent water changes. even with your filtration the ammonia levels will rise like crazy, especially with Oscars, (each needing at least 50 gallons each).

TRADE THE OSCARS FOR SMALLER FISH.IT IS CRUEL TO KEEP OSCARS IN SMALL TANKS .THEY WILL GET A LOT BIGGER.

I have a 29 UK gallon tank to, and i have a comet Goldfish by it self and it's 6 inches long.
I've had it for five years now, and it's the Boss! :)
I had another comet in it, a little smaller but it died earlier this year :(
I'm gonna get a companion for my remaining one as i think it gets a little lonely by itself. :-)

I had a neighbor that had one 10 inch Oscar in a 10 Gallon tank. The water was disgusing. The fish lived for years.
Your tank is fish paradise.

Okay I see a Bala Shark in there with the Oscars. How the HECK did you get that to work? Lol!
