I can't believe it's been almost 5 years since the release of Bioshock. It's been a while since I played it, but I will always remember it as the most beloved game I have ever owned in my life. I miss walking through that dark, twisted city of a once beautiful utopia, uncovering the stories of it's way to corruption. I loved fighting through the crazy splicers, big daddies, and little sisters just to survive being devoured by the sea. I hope one day we can return to that place once more.

Just finished Reading Bioshock: Rapture, by far one of the bestest books ever and just like the games it's amazing! I would recommend the book if your really big Bioshock fans! and since I've finished reading the book I've started playing the games agian because I think it makes the games better :D but I did cry at the end of the book.....just like I did at the end of both Bioshock games -.- and yes, I am a girl and I ADORE the Bioshock series ;D

Before August 2007, I never suspected that a video game could have such a prolonged effect on someone and broaden their views on the choices they make. I once thought that it would be ridiculous to suggest that a game could objectively, and effectively, convey two political viewpoints without bias toward one or the other. I never suspected that a game could permanently change a player's moral views on society, and what it takes to affect a change in the world.

I think that is a good addition to the setting, but i really don't think the game intends to show anything to do with political ideals at all.

@15GamingGuy Fontaine represented corporate industrialization and a position that people should work for the good of the city, much like Lamb in the sequel, but Fontaine wasn't just all talk. Whereas Ryan's position catered towards free market and favored individualism and the rights of one's self, and the player acts as the wedge between those to combating ideals. "Whichever way you slice it", Bioshock is incredible, an unchallenged masterpiece of a game, and one of a kind.

It's been 4 years since the first Bioshock came to us. I don't think anyone suspected what kind of impact or message the game would entail, and with Bioshock Infinite coming out soon, I felt obligated to come back and watch what had started it all. They didn't make another rapture bioshock cause they wanted to experiment with gameplay, like how to make it look better, faster, and just down right beautifull, I think that after they are done with Infinite, they are going to move on to another R-bioshock, but this one is going to be realy epic! And the portable one is going to be like an opener to that.
