  • the best one I 've heard before

  • excellent !!!!!

  • Superbe !

  • nobody can top this version, this voice, this power

    amazing

  • Amazing song, amazing voice, amazing project, let that be a lesson for today's wanna-be artists who think make music.

  • For me, John Miles personifies 'The APP'! From 'Tales' to 'Gaudi' - a span of over 10 years - he was THE voice of the 'Project'. His range, his projection, his presence was unlike any other of the vocalists which the 'Project' utilized. What a performance and what a singer! Thanks for this posting!

  • One of the best songs ever made.

  • when the art becames music and music melts with feelings, thats when a piece of art is born. Best live ever played of this APP song. This should be mandatory piece to be watched by everyone. Simply unreachable.

  • a masterpiece like Gaudi's work.what a wonderful combination!Alan Parson's Project, Gaudi, barcelona!!!!!!!!!!

  • i used to listen this when I was going to lycee nice nostalgy

  • je n'ai jamais eu la chance de visiter cette cathédrale.

  • La sagrada FAMILIA!!!!!!

  • I NEVER UNDERSTOOD THE REASON WHY SEPARATES ALAN WITH ERIC

  • @tangragama different paths in music eric wanted to move onto musical theater and alan wanted to concentrate bringing the woolfson parsons projects to the stage just different arrea's of music and stage expression who was wrong no one they gave us so much as a team and on thy're own.

  • This song has a special place in my heart. In my teenage years my jazzdance group performed with "La Sagrada Familia". <3 Of course we had to listen to it "a lot" for months because we had to learn the choreography. But it never got old. :-) Amazing song.

  • Great eric ... we miss u...

  • As a huge APP fan, I have to say John is the best singer I've heard for the project songs. I get goosebumps every time I listen to this version. He has an incredible and touching voice.

  • @MalcaratMartinez you`re absolutly right! I have heard a few versions of this song, most of the time with John Miles i have to admit :), and each and every one worked in a way .But this one is my absolute favorite and no one could ever do it better or with more passion than John Miles did. Love it and always will!

  • Isn´t this unbelievable? John Miles takes part in NOTP for so many years and there is just one word for his performance: amazing, amazing, amazing........

Whatever he sings it takes my breath away! Please don´t stop doing this, John!

  • great performance of an awesome song.

  • This song is fantastic and wow, John can sing.

  • esse é o cara!....que puta cantor!

  • it's the ways he sings that's special

  • Espectacular!!!! que temazo por favorrrrrrrrrr.

  • Keep this online no matter the cost :-)

  • It is only God...............

  • Man Alive !! I have loved this band /project for years but I have only just discovered this track and what a discovery .Bloody awesome and John Miles is the man . Magical .Thank you for posting

  • whoa... I have always loved this song, but this version is even more awesome!!! John Miles ... man can he SING!

  • @Stahldorn It is good because John Miles is the original lead vocal for the song.

This version is enhanced with the choir, the guitar solo and the ful orchestra. Which normally marks the kind of music AP and EW used to compose.

  • Gran Homenatge a Antoni Gaudí.

  • how to singing this way

    wow

    unbeliveble

  • Amaizing. Love it. Touches my soul.

  • what a voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sacred style, rest in peace Eric, thank you for your colaboration to the music

  • I am rock, yet I have been moved.....

  • meu DEUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Was ist den das für n Robotchorus??? Schlecht!!!

  • Finde den Chor grausam - da gibts deutlich bessere Versionen

  • song brings me back to the innocence of my childhood when and where i felt like nothing could ever hurt me

  • @TheEweTubeChannel same here. i get tears listening to this song. it's good, but the tears are for my childhood.

  • Dlaczego zawsze mam na tym kawałku ciarki...?

  • Wow ! Amazing ! John Miles one of the most talented and original musicians in the world !

  • This is not the Alan Parsons P. It's just John Miles, together with the night of the proms backing band, performing the song (written by EW and AP) he sang the lead vocals on the "Gaudi" album, featuring here the chinese guitarist Xuefei Yang on the flamenco guitar section

  • Eric Woolson, wasn't it? It was the Brilliant Eric Woolson!

I willl pray for his soul: he contributed so-o much to music!!!

  • here here

  • Who expired?

    I am ignorant.

    Woofson, J. Miles...what gives?

    Need to mourn.

  • @mccormickbom It was Eric Woolfson, he passed on Dec 2nd, 2009 of kidney cancer.

so sad............. we lost a great musican, as well i was hoping him and Alan might do at least one more album together with the original band.

    too late now.....

  • but not to late to enjoy the wonderful music alan and eric both gaves, both as the project and in thy're solo endeavours

  • Thank you woolfson. It is obvious to me one of your / my heroes has just passed away. This is the most fitting tribute to Eric Woolfson and one of the most spectacular live performances I have ever witnessed. Thank you for posting, and if there is any more please lets have em. Unfortunately I could not make the recent gathering of John Miles / Alan Parsons in Frankfurt 5th Dec 09.

  • this is what the alan parsons original studio band could of been envisioned on stage, it's a faithful rendition with obvious choices considered for live staged plerformance. john singing the song faster one of them, a aderable attempt and one i'm greatful to see.

  • Yana just told me to say hello to Eric, and now he's gone. Rest in peace and thank u John for coming on tour!

  • awesome.

  • I'm with the summon256 person, too fast looses all feel.

  • Awesome! thanks for reposting, keep it up.

  • This asian girl plays with the acoustic guitar the flamenco theme so wonderful. That's pure erotic. Imagine she will do it in front of Gaudis masterpiece!

  • why he sings so much fast paced ? ...it doesnt fit the total mood of the song...this song is meant to to be sung quite, slow and smooth other then that it soesnt have a point...long live original version...

  • Dear god..

This is probaply the best song i ever heard!

    Masterpiece!

  • @SamanthaFurSkunk - This and Roger Hodgsons ' Only becasuse of you'

  • This is a monumental performance of this song. I wish APP would perform with such an orchestra.

  • I was the only one (I think) in the audience who went totally crazy and sang along really loud!!! I Love this song!!!

  • John Miles "ROCKS " lol a Star Yeahhhh

  • Bad sound, yet thanks for posting, I never saw this version before.

He does it quite faster, too.

  • Love the song - The the cathedral is amazing - I want to go back in another 20 years and see what it looks like.

  • the live version is much better than the record O.o

  • I somewhat agree.

Rarely do I like live songs, especially APP; but this one is an awesome interpretation.

It's played faster, annoying at the beginning, but a good thing for the rock part.

    And the choir, very good.

  • Who is little girl .....guitar player?...

  • Xuefei Yang

  • That's Xuefei Yang, a flamenco guitarist from China. She's amazing!

  • John Miles unique! depuis Barcelone.

  • qué buenooooo!!!!!!

  • Je ne me lasse pas d'écouter et de réécouter ce morceau - c'est grandiose !!!!

  • I agree wholeheartedly with fabriciobisso! The Paseo de Gracia solo at 4:39 is even better than the studio version on the album, IMHO.

  • the clip is of course great but the recording volume alas way too high!

  • So badly recorded... Sadly. I remember when the good video was there a few months or years ago... Time goes by so fast. That was much better. Can't hear this one till the end, sadly.

  • I fully agree

  • The audio may be a bit "off", but I am still very glad that this was posted. I love APP and especially the Gaudi album and I hadn't seen the "better" video.

  • I reposted the video again of this performance. This is a YouTube rip of my recording.

    Cheers!

    /Per (neXium)

  • Awesome!! Thanks for posting the High Quality version again!!!

  • @neXiumvids Thanks!!! Keep this online at all costs!

  • Powerful, moving and breathtakingly beautiful.

    Carol Douglas

  • true!

  • john miles interpreta el tema the system of doctor tarr and professor fether en el primer album de Alan Parsons Project de 1976 (TALES OF MISTERY AND IMAGINATION)

  • oh god, this is simply A W E S O M E, I am almost crying, this is by far the best live performance I have seen of an APP song, What a solid vocal interpretation, instrumentals were GREAT, and that guitar solo, from "Paseo de gracia", magnificently put into "Sagrada Familia" was absolutely impressive, beautiful...

POR dios, esto es fantastico, magnifico, estoy a punto de llorar, esta es por lejos la mejor interporetacion en vivo que he visto de un tema de APP, y ese solo de "Paseo de gracia"...

  • I dare you not to get chills! Flat out #1 in my book!

  • This is one of my favourite APP tracks and with the powerhouse that is John Miles ,this song always blows me away..Thanks Woolfson333 for the post

  • Absolutely incredible..amazing..

Does anyone know what concert is this?

  • Night of the proms

  • This is flat-out awesome!!! Thanks!!

  • Who is playing the acoustic guitar?

    Amazingly well played.

  • I Love it !!! John Miles voice is so powerful he sounds like a king inspiring his knights for battle! Then the knights respond, the choppy sounds are the knights battle cries. Beautiful orchestration and then the angel sun plays the strat so eloquently leading to the final celebration that the war is won and is thankfully over. That is one of the greatest songs ever written and performed. Kudos to your video, woolfson, and the alan parsons project and john miles !!!!!

  • The choir in the beginning [the first two "La sagrada familia"'s] is... not really good. But all the other parts are magnificent :)

  • Da' scrieti dracu in engleza....

  • GENIAL!!!No conocía esta versión. Alguien puede informarme de este concierto?

  • WOW!!! Beautiful...magnificent

  • Gaudí inspiró a este genial compositor, Alan Parsons, a crear una música excelente. La Sagrada Familia, todo un temazo.

  • first time I see this...I have no words

  • Brutal interpretació! Millor que la del disc!

  • La mejor interpretacion de MILES!!! Hello, Im fan de Alan y Eric !! ARGENTINA Laura

  • I had never seen John Miles singing an Alan Parsons Project 's title (I know he was singing in "Gaudi"), it's very impressive ! In their album , I was listening this song again and again!!

  • The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether in the album TALES OF MYSTERY AND IMAGINATION 1976 the first APP album
