Of course, the Soviet Union wisely disbanded many of these troops around this time to focus on their economy, especially living standards. It's also why they grew at around 6-7% per year at the same time.
If they had continued to do that, instead of revert to neo-Stalinism under Brezhnev, they might still have been around today.

The year is incorrect, this is the 1954 Parade, they recorded in color by 1967, this date is wrong, I recognize this as 1954.

You must be very young or very ignorant. In any case I suggest that you read (a lot). Start with the II World War, not the Hollywood side, but the Russian front, where the nazis actually lost the war.
