Personally not a MIKA fan but can't deny he has good vocal range and likes Freddie.

Brian and Roger have known Paul since the 1970s since they played at the Royal Albert Hall in Smile (they were actually billed ABOVE Free in the concert - source 'As It Began').

So knowing Paul a long time (his vocal style/stage presence/general personality) must have been a deciding factor in finding Freddie's 'replacement'. Thank God it wasn't Robbie Williams lol!

They perform under the name "Queen + Paul Rodgers" to show that Freddie's place in Queen is not being replaced.
