Erin: Isn't it interesting that Lawyers can try a case worth "hundred of million- lets say 333 million" and take 40% of the proceeds for themselves.
That is 133 million. Then the lawyers took another 10 million for expenses. While the victims who had serious health issue ended up with 80,000 or 50,000 each. Some got a more but then some got nothing at all. The lawyers past out the winning to the victims. I think reform should be placed on law suits.
Especially those Goddam private health insurance companies. It's criminal on what they are getting away with. But hey, in this country. You can't speak negatively about the so called "free market". You'll be labeled "un-American", "unpatriotic", and a "socialist".
@paulp1021 Yes, paulp..they can label me being un-patriotic and a socialist but since the old Bush, we have been patronizing the Chinese instead of our proven allies in Asia. We are more sympathetic to India than the Philippines, forgetting than during the Gulf War in the 90's, the Indian govt rejected our request for landing/refuelling in their country. The Philippines kicked the Americans out in 1990 because the Filipinos found out that our base commanders refused to buy even tomatoes locally.
