Wow. Id love to own this setup. Id turn it into a free bar pole dancing palace. Keeping it working as an observatory. . This guy is awsome. Best job in the world. Hope funding holds out for this field. Ill stick to my 6" newtonian eq5 setup.xx

This is nice. I'd been to see the other National Solar Observatory on Sacramento Peak near Alamogordo and Sunspot NM, and went to see the Kitt Peak Solar Observatory over the Christmas holiday. While the NM observatory is an informal affair, with self guided tours, open 365 days a year... the road to Kitt Peak is only open during certain hours, and not on Christmas. Oh, well. Good thing I always travel with binoculars. But this is a better view than what I got from the gate at the bottom. ;-)
