  • beautiful

  • so fucking beautiful

  • @nanami8617 nothing just thought it was cool and I learned that that's how they spell it in Australia and no not rude @ all

  • how did that fish get so big? I've never seen coi that size before.

  • I own a koi that's about 31/2 feet long and it's in perfect shape I wonder if I can get 1 million yen for it ^_^

  • @Shanekoi maybe or you can sell it to breeders there are many factors that affect pricing of the koi but who knows it might fetch more or less 1million yen

  • I think they can swallow my turtles haha

  • 3:09 I know where his Koi go 0.o

  • did anybody else notice that he spelt luster wrong @ 5:40

  • @iluvblackeyedpeas7 Hi yup that's the normal way of spelling it here in the UK - hope you enjoyed the vid :-)

  • @meady200 It's spelled that way in Canada too.

  • @iluvblackeyedpeas7 so what?!

  • @iluvblackeyedpeas7 sorry if I'm rude

  • XD Unreal. First time I see them helping an animal. Not in a boiling pot. Kudos for improvement.

  • Love carp, I fail to catch a koi carp haha only see them :( just catch common carp

  • you eat these?

  • 10 Million yen!

    Gotta Breed'em All!

  • que lindas carpas koi la puta q lo pario!!!

  • For the person who said GOLD FISH they are not gold fish the are KOI FISH... they are in the same family with gold fish but are a lot of better because they grow bigger and can sell for a lot more..

  • 1 man is 1 0000 (4 zeros)

    10 man yen = 10 0000 yen = 100, 000 yen = 970 eur

this is a regular pricing yout get from breeders' farm. not expensive.

  • @didierting senman 10M yen

  • @nanami8617 senman en is written as 千万円. in japanese, 10 thousand is 1 "man". so 10 "man" is 100 thousand. so it's not 10 million yen. those fish are expensive but not sooo expensive. 1000 eur is the price you expect from those fish. when imported into europe their price raises to around 1500 to 2000 eur.

if those fish have won any prize, add another '0' to the figures.

  • @nanami8617 千万! now i got it. i was processing sen man as "ten" man somehow. ^_^'"

so it's 1000 0000. so it's 10 million yen = 100, 000 eur. wow! so those fish are truely one of the most valuable fish in the world.

  • Lol they translated ichi man as 10 million... No its 10,000, meaning $100 per fish

  • @kingcole55 that's senman 10M yen. I've heared it clearly

  • Nc ...

  • there some big ass gold fish

  • wow, that's a lot money for a fish

  • Those giant koi carps aren't fish, they're monsters!!! XD

  • how do they ship them over without them dying due to stress or lack of oxygen!??????????????????

  • thats nothing cause i know a koi that went for i think a million. it was a white koi with a red circle on the head

  • I'm a Koi groupie. :D

  • Beautiful looking fish, biggest koi I have seen aswell.....

  • ahahhahared ahok cr

  • Is that a big ogon koi at 3:00 ?

  • does that fat guy eat them????

  • Whooaahhhh those carp are so beautiful I don't see why people want to buy just to eat such beautiful fish

  • for 38 koi carp the whole stock is around 1.9 million pounds. WHAT A FISH!!!

  • 10 million yen is about 120,000 american dollars.

  • 3:09 he sure eat a lot of koi

  • @0138988805 that sounds like something my dad would say lol

  • They look like giant goldfish, i mean they are. But just SUPERSIZED.

  • WOW, THAT IS ONE HUGE FISH. OH WAIT, THAT'S A MAN.

  • those 38 fish cost about 2.73377 million U.S. dollars

  • thats why i dont eat fish in general ! beautiful to see , not to eat :'(

  • do normal gold fish grow this large?

  • @shakes53 no normal gold fish dont grow as big as koi, they are a seperate species althought still the same family (carp). Goldfish can grow to max of about 3 or 4 lbs whereas kois can grow to over 30lbs. hope that helped.

  • @shakes53 these are not goldfish, they are koi.

  • Thoes are nice carp

  • Where can I see the complete Video in the internet?

  • I actually can buy a house with that 1 fish .__.

  • sad...very sad....take the carps in lakes to survive on their on.....no kill, no eat.......!!

    against you killers!

  • oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh my gosh do they really get that big i have 4 butterfly koi but they are not even close to that size

  • cok guzel bı belgesel

  • @devasal5834 Teşekkürler!

  • I need a bigger pond to hold one of those!!

  • they look nice but why are they so expensive? if they really cost 130,000 dollars you might as well buy something badass like a shark

  • @rasengangt I think they should be around 1 million yen ( about $ 12000-13000) and they did said that they have translation issue

  • @HungQDang Ok that makes more sense. But still, that's really expensive. Don't get me wrong, these Koi are beautiful but I don't see how its worth spending that much for a 5 foot fish

  • @icemunster that is my salary for a year xD

  • @JimmyJohanes what job do you have?

  • @JimmyJohanes that's my salary for 4years!!!!! 10M YEN!!!!

  • fish , a japanese obsession

  • 2 thousand dollars a fish

  • Holy Carp, that's expensive. Koi or Ferrari?

  • My Ogon is swimming with only his starboard fins I think it is because he is trying to adjust to the new temperatures of my barrel pond. As the temps have just dropped also dramtically in sunny London town.

  • I now have a couple of Nishikigoi. Asagi and golden Ogon. I also have a gold fish that looks just like a Tancho without the characteristic barbels hehe

  • Any one know what this documentary is called? Can you also recommend me to other documentaries about Koi and other fish?

  • Hi there! This youtube clip was part of a larger documentary on Japan in general (I think for the BBC, but I'm beginning to forget now). So sadly this was the only part about Koi!

  • oh sh*t

  • @meady200 how much is that in american dollars

  • @teresahan1991

    if this helpin' you

    1,000,000.00 JPY = 8,809.663 EUR

  • @teresahan1991 5 million pesos or 5 million x 50 = for dollar answer

  • @mikeye9

World Record for longest lived Koi Carp was over 200 years old.

  • @mikeye9 I keep Koi. They can grow this big in just one year. It just depends on how they are kept.

  • @1967norway no they can't grow that big in one year. More like 5 to 6 years, minimum.

  • I'm getting a koi tattoo later this week

  • OMG thats gigant

  • my dad loves koi carps i want one dat big to sell

  • where is this play that the guy sells koi? my dad wanted to import them haha

  • i live in australia and my local river which is 2 minutes walk away, is filled to the brim with these things, they are all very similar to these ones except theres more red colourations than oranges. i was down there a week ago and one of them actually swam onto my foot. Their numbers there are rather surprising. If i stand on the shore for a MAXIMUM of 3 minutes, i will see one. the water in this river is clear. after seeing this im thinking about making a pond in my backyard and breeding some.

  • Wow, thats amazing! Whereabouts in Australia do you live?

  • I live in Casino northern New South Wales, I just realised how big the fish in this video actually are. We have recently had a constant strain of floods and I haven't been able to have a look for one for a while because it has seriously been dirty and fast for about 3 weeks. I also think that the biggest flood which was over 10 metres may have flushed them out, anxious to go have a look.

  • if your fisherman and you catch one you have to kill it though, its illegal to put it back, im right arent i?

i studied fisheries management for 3 years so i no all this stuff.

  • @dbelleparkour were bout in aus dude?

  • @dbelleparkour

Video plz. and reasponed it to this one :)

  • @dbelleparkour What part of Australia do you live? Can you give me exact suburb? I would really love to see these fish, I have never seen any but I have loved Koi for years, I am hoping I live some where near the place you speak of.

  • @dbelleparkour did u ever make that pond?

  • very nice

  • Absolutely amazing fish!

  • Aaaaarrrggghhh! mine would have been that big if the otter hadn't eaten them. Now the pond is fenced off and electrified.

  • if your pond is in britain then its illegal to electify fences to stop otters, its illegal to harm otters in any way possible, stupid laws.

  • Stupid laws indeed. I'd rather deter them with electricity than resort to more permanent deterrents. I can't believe its still illegal to shoot cormorants (the black death) even when they are slicing your fish to pieces without a license. My advice - don't bother waiting for a license, just hide the body well.

  • its not illegal to shoot cormorants, well it is and it isnt, your allowed to shoot cormorants but only 2 a month a think it is, but you shoot any more then you get into bother even with a licence. best way to keep otters out is to put otter fencing up, its several foot high which is impossible for the otters to climb over and it curls under towards where the otters are, a bit like a rabbit fence to stop them digging under the fence.

  • I still choose to hide the bodies, just in case.....I had considered using a 'proper' otter fence but it would have been too intrusive and made the pond look like a concentration camp.

  • if you want to no the best way to get rid of otters then set a pack of rottweilers or allsations on it and say they was walking off the lead so you couldnt stop them haah

  • Works with the fox hunt.........

  • reallt interesting programme/ I cant believe it's only had 17 views.
