Today I was looking thru my student hand book and No ware was any information about LTC or CCW on campus so I called the campus police office and asked What there policy was. I was told No you can not have any fire arm on campus at all.
Then they wanted to know who I was whats my student ID#, and on and on. I just hung the phone up. I was told I could start my own club on campus as long as there was enough people interested. So Im going to try to make a shooting club. Shake the cage up a lil.

The worst of it all is that year after year. There are more people being killed in automobile accidents than killed by guns. However we see no regulations placed upon cars and trucks. There are safety regulations but not ownership regulations. You can modify you car's engine to do 200+ mph. You can still own and drive your car. Owning a car and driving a car is a privledge and not a right. However owning a gun is not a privledge but it is the only piece of property you have the right to own.

I know of gun stores getting robbed of their inventory but I haven't heard of one getting robbed for money while the store was still open. There was a local gun store where I live at that was broken into and they got the some guns. However this was done at night while the place was closed. Most of the gun control laws we have, seem to me to be knee jerk reactions to some kind of tragedy, accident, crime, etc. It's politician's doing something in order to make some folks "feel"safer and thus garner future votes. And while these tragedies are horrible when they occur, they are sensationalized my the media.
How safe are the "gun free zones" we have now. Schools, Post offices, and Fed buildings. No problems there anymore. Thank God the politicians saved us from ourselves there!

Today I was looking thru my student hand book and No ware was any information about LTC or CCW on campus so I called the campus police office and asked What there policy was. I was told No you can not have any fire arm on campus at all.
Then they wanted to know who I was whats my student ID#, and on and on. I just hung the phone up. I was told I could start my own club on campus as long as there was enough people interested. So Im going to try to make a shooting club. Shake the cage up a lil.

There's been multiple cases where gun control actually increased crime (Australia in the 90s), and there's been cases where public access to firearms decreased crime (Kennesaw, Georgia). It just doesn't work.

The worst of it all is that year after year. There are more people being killed in automobile accidents than killed by guns. However we see no regulations placed upon cars and trucks. There are safety regulations but not ownership regulations. You can modify you car's engine to do 200+ mph. You can still own and drive your car. Owning a car and driving a car is a privledge and not a right. However owning a gun is not a privledge but it is the only piece of property you have the right to own.

I don't remember hearing that but yeah way to go granny. I heard of a story that happened in Alabama. A principle at a school had his gun at school. A student brought his gun to kill other students. The principle took his out and pointed it at the student and not one shot was fired and the student was arrested. He wasn't going to have a Columbine at his school. You know what I've never heard of a gun store getting held up. Like you hear gas stations, liquor stores, and resturants do.

@saved03 I've only heard of a suicide in a gun shop, In Bailey Colorado, some criminals, robbed the town gun store, before they robbed it they went to the police station in Bailey and FLATTENED every tire on every po0lice car, then they used their truck to rip the concrete/steet posts out of the ground then they rammed their truck thruogh the front of the store and cleaned the place out, they were never caught.

I know of gun stores getting robbed of their inventory but I haven't heard of one getting robbed for money while the store was still open. There was a local gun store where I live at that was broken into and they got the some guns. However this was done at night while the place was closed. That's what I was referring to about a gun store ever been robbed.

The gun control laws r the exact same thing as BSL in Denver. They banned pitbulls because they were too dangerous. I have had 6 of them and they r all awesome. Most of the gun control laws we have, seem to me to be knee jerk reactions to some kind of tragedy, accident, crime, etc. It's politician's doing something in order to make some folks "feel"safer and thus garner future votes. And while these tragedies are horrible when they occur, they are sensationalized my the media.
How safe are the "gun free zones" we have now. Schools, Post offices, and Fed buildings. No problems there anymore. Thank God the politicians saved us from ourselves there!
