  • Oasis = best band of last 40 years

  • Did they ever put all these songs on a album?

  • I dont understand y people hate on oasis/beadyeye by saying they copy the beatles if you actually listen to their albums you will hear similarities but all the music we listen to is influenced by the beatles, if your a real beatles fan enjoy the fact that someones appreciating George someone who is always overlooked

  • Liam, please don't sing too loud. Kapish.

  • Vocals suck. The rest is allright.

  • I like this more then the original to be completely honest.

  • excellent cover

  • Oasis has a weird habit of covering songs and epicafying them to levels thought unreal.

  • I think it's pretty darn good! Never listened to Oasis before...

  • the drum rift is from 'tomorrow never knows' off revolver

  • equipamento vintage!!!

  • @ThisIsSmarta1 why watch/comment on their videos then?!?!

  • @TheJef85 Because one must hear before they make judgement. This just made me hate them even more.

  • sounds like shit. No offence to Oasis, but they shouldn't have even tried this. After all not everyone can play like The Beatles, in fact no one can. at least not if they're human.. Its the work of Gods of music..

  • @upthebracket24 Nothing like an arrogant lil hack with no personal accomplishments, running their mouth from behind a computer....

  • opinions are like assholes. If you want to be top opinion, what does that make you?

  • @VjMax531 You didn't explain why they're like assholes.

  • and they throw shit to George Harrison... and this is a song by him

  • @PochoProfeta145 didnt they kiss and make up obviously they worship the beatles ... they were just coked up

  • @PochoProfeta145 what they said?

  • @PochoProfeta145 they don't throw shit to george harrisson. liam only retaliated to something goerge said about him.

  • one of you nitwits out there sent a comment to me because I stated a truly good band doesn't really have to do a cover of someone else's, and definately cannot be considered as original, just a copy for commercialism, and so on....

  • @VjMax531 By all means, enlighten us with a band (ANY band) that has never done a cover song. The Beatles, Elvis, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, the Stones. They've ALL done covers at some point.

  • @danimal97520 I never said bands couldn't do others song, I said covering someone else's original material doesn't make them better then the originals. so come off your high horse and just wanting to argue over a word or opinion, it's music and no one can put someone on top or bottom w/o their own opinion. music is music, and opinions are like assholes. If you want your opinion to be absolute, then you are an absolute asshole.

  • @VjMax531 I never once said that Oasis was better than the Beatles for doing the cover song. No high horse to it. Your first post was bitching about how all cover songs were were "just a copy for commercialism". I disagree. So why then are you arguing over a word or opinion man? You have your opinion. I have mine. And I for one think that this particular cover was done (since it was not put on an album and was not released as a single) just for fun to pay tribute to a band that influenced them

  • Oasis........... I fuckin' luv you

  • Comment removed

  • @upthebracket24 you're so right mate! i hate this horrible cover! it's the worst i've ever heard

  • Amazing cover!!!

  • Class "A" music

  • one of the best off of the Sgt Pepper 40th Anniversary tribute album, that is forsure.

  • When you sing a song you learn the words and although you may not act upon them they are still a part of you.

  • When i was about 13 and we had to sing oasis songs in school i always thought oasis was something like a poor copy of the beatles . I asked my teacher why we dont sing beatles songs to begin with. He didnt answere my question , i couldnt take that person serious from that on anymore .

  • Sick /watch?v=x46wqYoMw6s

  • Liam called George Harrison a "nipple"... and after that has made a tribute to him. LOL

  • @rockologo You watch television too often.. Liam is a legend

  • Horrible. I hate the singing but the drums were the only part that sounded good. Oasis suck balls

  • @XxNuclearPandax u suck balls

  • @XxNuclearPandax Why would you waste your time listening to a band you don't like? Attention seeking?

  • @van1980 i love the beatles and the song so i thought, ill see what the covers are like then i was introduced to this bullshit

  • see the people that say this is shit, just think... if you's were in a band and Oasis were your favorite band, would you cover their songs? of course you would. And if you knew people were saying it was shit, would you give 2 fucks? no!! they're the best and coolest band of our generation and they don't give a fuck, thats why they are so cool

  • fucking amazing .. ace cover version

  • too much treble in the vocal imo

  • good but I gotta say absolutely nothing like the original

  • To be honest i m embarassed for the boys,,this is ment to be a tribute to the beatles, its too much distortion on it,

  • best ever cover of this beatles track, liams vocals are perfect on this.

  • Oasis cover? fantastic!!!

  • where is zak starkey? (ringo's son)

  • @supercat1997 I just realized something. Seeing as how Ringo's real name is Richard Starkey, he didn't use the old nick name Dick (which is just... ughhh). No, he made it Ringo, and his last name from Starkey to Starr. he should win The Most Baller Nickname(s) Award.

  • who feels love ?

  • I despise Oasis with every fabric of my being. But this cover is well done

  • This version is too rigid. It doesn't sound flowing like George's version.

  • I think Oasis weren't talking about love, life and it's porpuse...

They were just arguing with each other, the best thing they know how to do

So hypocrite to cover this incredible song when they're "one of them" ( these people George talks about )

  • If there was one song a band should cover by the beatles, Its Within You, Without You. Oasis did it

  • The Beatles were amazing. But don't forget to give credit to Oasis. They were not trying to be better than or the same as. Recognise Oasis for their respect for the Beatles. Who else apart from Oasis dared cover I am the Walrus in a live gig? Jim Carey did so in the studio and respect to him too. The message of the Beatles was "love and peace". Let's have that same spirit and concentrate on similarities, empathies, tributes and not on differences..

  • cool instrumentation, but the vocal is not better than george harrison

  • løl_Äny_gÙYs_wÄÑt_tõ_chät_wÏth_mè

  • This is pretty darn cool :D

  • george harrison has more talent in his little finger than these dickheads

  • @TheWhuever That's like saying Empire Strikes Back is better than Return of the Jedi. They're still both awesome.

  • @TheWhuever FUCK YOU DICKHEAD !!! if you don't like oasis why you see one of their songs ???

  • @themahermax firstly its the beatles song this is a cover so i wanted to hear there version

  • @TheWhuever it's true, sorry mate !!!

  • its a mix of within you without you/tommorow never knows

  • i know!!!!! i know the beatles are better!!!! but oasis is the second bestband ever, besides this is a great cover!! so please all of you shut your fucking mouths up!!

  • awful

  • @Wakeupdream Are you OK?

  • @DannyMadFerIt Yes I am.I hate Oasis

  • @Wakeupdream Then I can see you aren't OK...

  • How dare they. The biggest egos in the entire Universe.

  • I knew before i heard this i wouldn't like the vocals...

  • Gem Archer's pijama at Abbey Road LOL

  • el sonido del principio me sono a Tomorrow Never Knows!... esta cancion es una joya de oro

  • Awesome cover !

  • Saying Oasis sounds too much like the beatles is like saying "my girlfriend looks too much like Angelina Jolie".

  • @RedBullXHardy 110% Right.. Well Said!

  • @RedBullXHardy

Angelina Jolie?? that ho be crazy

  • @RedBullXHardy one of the best comments I have ever read!! brilliant RedBull! shine on, Joe.

  • @kringles4 haha cheers. I wont take all the credit because jeremy Clarkson used this line once when he was talking about cars so I feel bad for sort of stealing it. But I think it's very a true analogy. Its dissapointing to see Beatles fans bagging Oasis when Oasis simply pay homage to the beatles by following their style. That what this cover is about really.

  • @RedBullXHardy she does?

  • @RedBullXHardy i'm Brad Pitt and my girldfriend looks too much like Angelina Jolie. :P

  • @RedBullXHardy but they do!

i mean, they are tired of say it

  • @RedBullXHardy Bravo, my friend. Probably one of the truest statements I've ever heard.

  • @RedBullXHardy lol

    true!

  • @RedBullXHardy Hahahaha one of the most clever things I've ever heard about Oasis sounding like The Beatles... which is true anyway, although they're not as good (Oasis I mean). So anyway, your comment summarizes it perfectly!

  • @RedBullXHardy And who would you prefer to bang? Your girlfriend or Angelina Jolie?

  • @RedBullXHardy Anyone who says oasis sounds too much like beatles insults the beatles .

  • @RedBullXHardy That is Fuckin' Genius.

  • I respect it, but I just can't enjoy a rock version of a song that was so heavily influenced by eastern music. Adding a sitar in the background doesn't do it justice.

Like I said, I respect what they did, but I just don't dig it.

  • @satangavemeataco1 shiat up

  • Comment removed

  • The percussion is from Tomorrow Never Knows. Those clever Oasis boys.

  • @pastafazool56 i thought so mate. i thought it was tommorow nevers knows at first

  • @pastafazool56 If you don't know there is a version titeled Within You Without You / Tomor, is a mix of tomorrow never knos and within you without you

  • @pastafazool56 The idea for this comes from the Beatles' Love album. Giles and George Martin are the clever boys...

  • @pastafazool56 They aren't that clever. They took the idea from Giles Martin who produced the music for the LOVE show/album.

  • @pastafazool56 They aren't that clever. They took the idea from Giles Martin who produced the LOVE show/album.

  • @charlie3684

    HAT3R!!!

  • @charlie3684 George Martin.

  • @charlie3684

I guess you mean George Martin.

  • @pastafazool56 Boy, really. Noah was the sole songwriter and let's face it without him they would have been nothing.

  • @pastafazool56 Actually the Beatles album "Love" did this. So once again Oasis has zero originality.

  • @pastafazool56

nothing clever on their part. They copied the idea from the track "Within You Without You"/"Tomorrow Never Knows" from the beatles love album produced by george martin and his son released in 2006.

  • @pastafazool56 No, not that clever the drum pattern from Tomorrow Nvere Knows was used on Within you Without You on the "Love" soundtrack.

  • @pastafazool56 And this is more of a cover of Tomorrow Never Knows/Within You With Out You from LOVE.

  • @pastafazool56 god what an idiot.. :E

  • @pastafazool56 if they are so clever, why are they remaking a great song instead of doing an original? your statement is null with a little logic.

  • @VjMax531 because people like it when bands experiment with music instead of just copying it

  • @VjMax531 If your so brilliant, why is it that you didn't notice that they have a stack of albums of ORIGINAL material. And have never once had a cover song on any album they've done. Not once. Coincidentally, they are one of the best selling groups out of the UK ever, with a long list of hits...that they wrote.

Oh and if your so bothered by it, why in hell do you keep coming back....

  • @pastafazool56 Not so clever, all they've done is copy Giles Martin's mash-up version from the Cirque Du Soleil soundtrack, "Love".

  • @pastafazool56 - I really do NOt thINK THAT DRUM TRACK IS rINGO . pretty darn sure it is not

  • @bigbuzman It's ringo's part from Tommorrow Never Knows played here by Terry Kirkbride !

  • I'm a massive Oasis and mega Liam fan! But the original is still top dog for ..... but only just ;)

  • thanks for fucking it up oasis. BASTARDS

  • @GrungeHippie95 Just no.

  • although i like the bealtes version much more, i won't lie they did a pretty good job

  • wana here this live ..............amazing

  • this is great! :D

  • This is almost better than the original

  • @mariliagpc i'm sorry but no way. i'll have you know my favourite band is oasis and i've always hated those beatles purists who slag off oasis covers of the beatles. that said, i have to admit that the psychedelic and very unique sound of the original song does beat this cover. i love this cover, by the way. :)

  • Love the Beatles but have no grouse with this version. Its good.

  • So they did the tomorrow never know version ...

  • GAS PANIC...... so love that song

  • Gas panic is my fav of theirs!

  • I love Oasis, but Im not a fan of their cover of this song. Sorry guys. :/

  • Funny Mashup, Pulled Drums and Sitar from "Tomorrow Never Knows" off Revolver and Lyrics are "Within You Without You" off Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, Very strange combination, "Tomorrow Never Knows" is such an incredible and powerful song on its own, I wish they had covered that song alone.

  • Por el lado musical esta barbara. Lastima que el cantante parece un gato en celo

  • jajajaja 0:34 he appears to be thinking "WTF !!!! Is this a guitar???"

  • ahahaha..fantastic photo

  • was noel playing a sitar?

  • @treytoshable it'd be impossibly amazing if he was. it'll make me even more in awe of him than i already am, if possible. :P

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wonderful cover..

  • Lennon complex anyone?

  • @ShadeRunners :D if you mean oasis, when is the right time to have a lennon complex, during you are allowed to re-record the most famous album of your idols?

  • fantastic photos

  • they fucking ruined it, to fast, not transcendental or mellow enough for me man!! Drums to loud! Should of been more sitar. Liam should of had less of Lydon in his voice on this one. I really should have produced this one for them!!

  • @katoness nah man you should shut the fuck up and appreciate the music! no one cares about your view of the song, they've come to this vid to listen to the oasis version......

  • @chewy996 if I have something to say I will say it. If I don't like it, I'm going to say that. I only care what I think and thats all that matters I don't give a fuck what you think or anyone else for that matter. I'm an Oasis fan and I love their music, I came to listen to do this to but didn't like it. You may not give a flying fuck what I think, but I certainly do.

  • 0.33 noel on the sitar - go on with ya bad self!

  • the difference in oasis and the beatles is, oasis were defined by their era, but the beatles defined theirs - the beatles broke up rather than make mediocre music; the same can't be said of oasis - oasis got their due, they're a tight rock and roll outfit with better-than-average songwriting skills who have now lost their edge, nothing more - all that said, nice cover of the beatles here, i give it 9/10

  • @MultiNickDanger Beatles broke up because of Yoko. For whatever his reasons, John declared Yoko to be an 'equal' Beatle. Unacceptable to Ringo, George, and Paul.

  • @rjpancerniCAUSA

well it's all speculation because i wasn't there and neither were you, but that's a very simplistic view - had yoko come onto the scene in '65 the beatles would not have broken up then - but by 1970 they'd passed the apex of their artistry, and they knew it - yoko may have been one of the triggers, but more than that, it was simply time - right offhand, i can think of at least 20 big rock bands whose legacy could have benefited greatly from knowing when it was time to end it

  • @MultiNickDanger True about not being there. At the same time (if you have not already done so) look at the 'Get Back' vids. Read some of the stories. For John's reasons, John brought Yoko to the rehearsals/recording sessions. Yoko can be heard giving her opinion of Beatle's music. As if Yoko had equal musical ability to J, P, G,R.

I disagree that the Beatles had 'Apexed'. There were individual Beatle hit singles into the late 70's.

Decline was from lack of other Beatle's input.

  • @rjpancerniCAUSA

you're missing my point - i'm aware of the history, and of course yoko was a problem: one of many interpersonal problems they were having, which coincided with the decline in their musical potency

if you really saw promise beyond "let it be," i can't argue with you - personally i consider the relative weakness of the solo material as a strong indicator that i'm right, whereas you are saying the exact opposite - to each his own opinion

  • @MultiNickDanger Just to continue, imo, the weakness of the solo material is a direct result of the lack of input from all the Beatles.

As you stated, I was not there.

    Maybe it was 'diminishing returns'.

  • It's a great vocal from Liam. And a strange choice of a pick from Seargant Peppers. Great job. Oasis have always been compared to the Beatles only because they are such huge fans. They sound more like the stones thatn the Beatles. But they have their own indiviual sound now. I'm certain that they will re-form and release a mediaocre album. they had their chance in 1997 and blew it to be a huge band like the Beatles.

  • I never knew they did a version of this song - great stuff!

  • Hey dude, this is Within You Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows ! ATUALIZE

  • tomorrow never knows drums (L)

  • song made for his voice : psycho !!!

  • The drummer needs to chill the fuck out.

  • @ThePerchance LMAO.

  • This is sooooo unbelievably great !!!! I love that Noel plays the sitar. *swoon*

  • This is amazing :O

  • cool as hell

  • its cool how they kind of mixed it with Tomorrow Never Knows, good cover

  • covers like this one are so hard to be done, and done right at that. They made it their own, but embraced the original at the same time and made it work. Well done.

  • This along with Kaiser Chiefs doing Getting Better is one of the best beatles covers, and I hate the Kaiser Chiefs, this is a fucking hard song to replicate and Oasis did it justice

  • i loved oasis until "staning on the soulders of giants"...seen them live 97' and now i still think that all they've done after 1998 is shit... sorry ladys ;). And this beatles cover just sucks... its boring, nothing special and again it is boring !! they should have spitt after "be here now"... the rest just sucked... or maybe before "be here now"

  • @CivilianInRange in your opinion it is shit. i say a tune like "girl with the dirty shirt" is shit compared to a song like "gas panic" from standing on the shoulder of giants. so there are different opinions. respect it, because i respect people, who like the first three albums but i cant stand guy, which thinks that their opinion is the only right one. the rest does not suck if it would the crowd would not have gone crazy to "lyla" at manchester 2005.

  • @Shaguar66 ....mate GAS PANIC is one of my top 5 faves.....awesome tune

  • nobody said they were the beatles but their still fucking great

  • AWFUL COVER =S (N)

  • does noel know how to play sitar???

coz i saw him in this vid holding a sitar........

  • Comment removed

  • This totally gave the song justice. It's not perfect, but it's kind of impossible to top an original Beatles song.

  • esto no es solo Within You Without You es tambien Tomorrow Never Knows

  • Only Oasis could Cover this.

    love both versions!
