Josh Groban fans are very loyal and he is charismatic but if you play this after a Josh Groban number the difference in the strength and quality of the two voices is very apparent, as is Rhydian's classical training and first class honours music degree.This has got to be the definitive version of this song as over 76k hits in so short a time testifies to.The singing is simply superb.

The album was never released in the US, I'm afraid. We are hoping for album number 2 to have a worldwide launch (due for release in November) but who knows? Cowell did talk about getting Rhydian on Oprah but again who knows? It's a shame because I genuinely feel the US would go nuts for this guy - his live performances are such flamboyant affairs - not to mention demonstrating he is amongst the World's very best live singers.
As good as I think Rhydian's voice is, as great as he was when I saw him at Andrew Lloyd Webber's Birthday Concert, and as much as I think he deserved to win the X Factor...

I really like the chemistry they create together in this song. It gives it a whole new meaning. I absolutely love Kate Winslet's version, but I almost think it makes more sense as a duet.

I respect your opinion, but I am in no way being disrespectful. I said they were both amazing singers, Flairity wasn't saying Rhydian wasn't a bad singer. Just expressing their opinion.

I quite like both of them, I think I was just saying it was surprising that it was rhydian ft Idina as Idina has been around so much longer, even if she might not be as well known (though I'm not sure about that)

I agree. I thought that they complemented each other brilliantly. Neither one tried to over power the other and their voices blended wonderfully.
I too am an Idina fan who would have never heard of Rhydian if not for this song. So I agree with Kylouch that they both brought each other some new audience members.
And I do have to say that although Idina may not be some crazy rock star, she has a pretty loyal following, and a goos number of fans. Don't under estimate her.

What is it about some Idina fans that makes them so eager to declare that she is the best of the 2 here? Totally tiresome behaviour. I wasn't aware Rhydian INVITED Idina to sing this duet so her fans could judge their voices and declare a winner. Stop being so ridiculous. It's a duet, not the bloody Eisteddfod FFS. Get over yourselves why don't you and be thankful that she's now in 500000 homes who probably wouldn't have known who she was if she'd bit them on the ass and said 'I'm Idina Menzel'

I'm sorry but I only partially agree with you. No one should be saying who was better! It is a DUET = which mean they are a TEAM so they be judge as ONE. I disagree on the part it was not just Rhydian who made Idina (he is not this big hero). I feel they both helped each other. If not for Idina I would have never heard of Rhydian. She could have said no and this song would not be good without the BOTH of them singing it! They both brought fans to each other, some new fans for him, some for her

Kylouch, an intelligent riposte and I commend you for it but my comments were UK-centric - fact is, Rhydian is far better known in the UK than Idina. Yes, if this album was officially released in the US then the opposite would be true - but is isn't released there. My point has now been wholly backed up by the frankly ridiculous RyanYouAreMighty now stating that Rhydian sings 'off-note' (sic) in this song. It's just tiresome behaviour (I'm not getting at you here, BTW)

Unlike a 'usual' cover, however, it has been arranged (by Rhydian) to be sung as a duet. This really should have been released as a single. Maybe the duet with Aguilera on album 2 will be?? Hope so...

Of course Idina was there as that's where Rhydian asked her to sing this duet (which, incidentally, he arranged himself). Haven't you people seen the video where Rhydian is talking to Simon Cowell about how this duet came about? It's on youtube, have a search. What Cowell says about Ms Mendel is very interesting...

Idina was so there at Andrew Lloyd Webbers 60th Birthday in the Park. Kerry definitely wasn't...she was in Wicked on Broadway in NYC...
I was right at the barrier and was there to see Idina so no doubt about it :0)

They blend together perfectly and give a such good contrast eash other. Idina is pretty good but Rhydian is magnificent, probably king of the world at the moment.
