if this stuff was a scam, call me a scam DRINKER...BODY BY VI is the number 1 health challenge in AMERICA !!! And the ARMY of supporters, you can not argue with !!!
5 ice cubes, 8 ounces of FF MILK, two scoops of VI (cake ) shake mix and a small tspn full of peanut butter !!!! inhale and enjoy not being obese
@ksrgr8ful, re: 700% growth...tell me, where did you get that information -- was it straight from Visalus, someone who spends all their time trying to get people to give you money so you don't lose what you had to pay into it (like I have to assume, yourself), or an independent non biased body?
Why are those who object, interested? Maybe they're tired of having every other acquaintance they have trying to drag them into this multi level marketing scheme (AKA pyramid scheme)
If Visalus was the miracle it pretends to be, then big pharma would have bought it up in a heartbeat, and used their billion dollar promotional budget to market it like every other breakthrough. Or...if as Visalus claims, (and Hulk Hogan apparently - there's some credible $cientific clout), the "shake" is actually a cure for ADD, and gets diabetics off of insulin, then the product would be flying off the shelves.
How many here are asking your friends for money to buy into this scheme?
@hydrovitae Well the company has experienced over 700% in growth (Top 8 competitive companies grew 3%) so if you do your homework, you'll see that it IS actually flying off the shelves... so to speak.
I am not a visalus Rep!! but somebody please explain to me! why do people care so much or so combative about something that they will not use!!! its Simple don't use the product! don't look up body by vi products if you dont like them!!
@Fittnicc Becuse they are IDIOTS and DON'T have a LIFE!!! I LOOOOVVVEEEE My ViSaul shakes!!! All that nutrition in 1 shake... Get outta' here haters!!! I'm dropping the lbs... putting on lean muscle and looking GOOD!!! Thank you ViSalus!!!
Also, that's Bs about gaining all the weight back after a "low-calorie diet". The only healthy, normal way to lose weight is COMMON SENSE. Eat moderately. Healthy foods, a lot less junk, and exercise! Once you get to your "goal weight", you don't have to kill yourself at the gym every day for the rest of eternity to maintain it. Just exercise moderately, and eat well, and take care of yourself. And I should take my own expert advice. Knowing is easier than doing.
hydrovitae, it doesn't sound like you know what you're talking about. pyramid schemes are illegal organizations where no actual product is sold.
If you're going to criticize, please stick to facts and not silly emotional ranting. Visalus is the #1 company in at least four categories and 4 million pounds have been lost in 2 years. those are facts.
Thank you for taking the time in making this great video with lots of information. My only question to you would be what can I eat between meals or between shakes. Fruits? Protein bars? But which fruits and which protein bars? Let me know thanks.
@ao5050 Snacks are encouraged on this challenge.(3 a day) Some examples of recommended snacks: Cottage cheese Pear apple Raw almands celery sticks + 1tbsp peanut butter mozzarella string cheese 2 slices turkey lunchmeat+1 slice swiss cheese 1 cup raw carrots +1 tbsp ranch dressing Nutra cookie Plus you can add fruit to your shake .Hope this helps. I started jan 1, have lost 4lbs, and feel great. If I can answer any questions you can e-mail me anytime. mmalt2000@yahoo.com
Can't argue with science either! Take the time to do some valid research and the science and clinical studies are there. Proof is in the pudding - or in this case, THE SHAKES AND VIPAK! Changed my life and those of all my customers and promoters! God Bless ViSalus!
@HighFiveMoms Admittedly not well spoken. I actually do have a small garden that I tend to with my daughter during the summer months- 4 to 5 tops here in Minnesota. My daughter is SO proud of herself for growing her own pumpkins and veggies! Yes, that's definitely quality time. My point was MOST people don't take the time to do that and feed their kids over processed crap and fast food. ViSalus is healthier than much of what people are eating and feeding their kids, and it can be free.
Not everyone has the money or time to eat the way you mention, "lean protien, complex carbs, veggies, tons of water....5-8 times a day " I am currently getting my healthy meals for free. Can you say that about your nutrition?
It's about individuals and RESULTS! Bashing the product doesn't make it less effective! No matter how scientifically argumentative you try to be you can't argue RESULTS.
@TheTysonMethod Have you actually looked at how much nutrition is in one of these shakes? You would need to eat over 8,000 calories of over 20 different items to get the same nutrition as you do in 1 shake. Check out my site and look at "What do I take" to see all of the things you would need to eat. I love food but there's NO WAY I could even BEGIN to eat everything listed to get the same nutrition...
@ananjel: But the RESULTS you're talking about are visible on the outside...how do you know what it's doing on the inside? A variety of healthy foods is the best way to get all the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals your body needs.
This sounds like a pitch by an "expert" - except it makes no sensewhatsoever. Drinking this stuff builds muscle? How does that work? "Scientifically" proven to break down the "cell wall"? What the hell is that?
@hydrovitae I'm wondering if you wrote this before or after you were eating a bacon double cheese burger??? Because I'm pretty sure if you visited the gym once in your life, you would understand HOW nutrition, PROPER NUTRITION is the way to build muscle...
@hydrovitae What I heard was that because of the Patented Tri Sorb blend of 3 Premium proteins (2 Whey and 1 Soy) and how it's processed, it gets absorbed in to the cell membrane MUCH EASIER than the high/bulk proteins (low quality), which is why you would build muscle... THAT'S how you build more muscle. I've been on it for 30 days, dropped 12 lbs. 1.5 inches around my waist and have better muscle definition w/ VERY light working out due to having sports injuries. Nuff said! Get on this stuff!
Eat clean....lean protien, complex carbs, veggies, tons of water....5-8 times a day and adjust caloric intake depending on wether you are trying to lose, maintain or gain. It's not rocket science. These shakes just give you the same things that you can get from whole foods.
@onealrya if you could get all those whole foods for free, would you do it? Sure growing your own foods is awesome, eating clean is amazing, but the reality is, people don't take the time to do it. People with kids and full time jobs prefer something easier and more cost effective, and for me, this is it. Bash me if you will, but I'd rather spend the time playing with my kids than tending to my organic garden. They're only young once!
@golfhick53 spending time in your "organic garden", teaching and showing your children how to plant seeds, watch them grow then letting them pick the greens for the supper salad is the best "playtime" you could ever spend with your kids....I'm sorry but I just couldn't believe you wrote..... "Bash me if you will, but I'd rather spend the time playing with my kids than tending to my organic garden. They're only young once!"
5. You don't build muscle by eating protein. You build muscle by progressively overloading your body with resistance--and then fueling your body with protein (amino acids) so you can repair and rebuild. However, you don't need some silly over-hyped protein to do that. Egg whites and casein (milk protein) are the best possible sources of protein but the truth is all proteins are useful and pretty much interchangeable.
@brballinger You totally miss the point, the average consumer doesn't eat properly and this product fills a lack in there diet which by itself if they are getting 1 nutritious meal a day while they eat junk food or chemically infested garbage the rest of the time then the body is better off with the one good meal. So why as a trainer bash something you obviously know nothing about, why not learn more and use it to assist your clients as many of us do.
@cvrfitness Actually YOU miss the point. I have no problems with saving normal people time and energy with meal replacements. I have a huge problem with someone blatantly making false claims and saying stuff that is complete BS in an attempt to convince people to pay them. That's called fraud and that's what you Visalus reps do.
And no, I'm not a competitor, I can think for myself I don't need to be a sucker and fall for a pyramid scheme like you guys. Go enjoy that "free" BMW
@cvrfitness Also, you're a 50 year old dude who has earings and terrible form in his lifts and feel the need to talk crap to me on my wall anonymously. You're pretty courageous there buddy, keep it up!
4. "Lean muscle" is a redundant statement. There is no such thing as fatty muscle. You are mixing the term "lean body mass" or "lean tissue" and the term muscle. Muscle is one of the things that makes up lean tissue. As someone who claims to be a 20 year trainer veteran, I find it embarrassing that you don't realize this.
3. You make lots of claims that it is "scientifically-proven" but I've seen no peer-reviewed, published studies showing it's significantly-higher efficacy than other types of protein at doing any of the things you claim.
@brballinger That's what I was thinking too..."scientifically proven" what scientist..what's his or her name? where are the "documented" scientific studies??? LOL....it's a SHAKE people...at the end of the day..it's just a SHAKE....
Are you kidding me? This video is so full of misinformation it hurts my head.
1. "Your body needs energy to burn through sugar and often we will run out of energy before we burn through the sugar"— ...um, WHAT? The reason sugar is bad for weight loss is because it spikes your insulin, which tells your body to store calories as fat and to reduce the mobilization of fatty acids for energy usage. Your body doesn't "run out of energy to burn sugar"... sugar IS energy.
@brballinger ...that's not what she said....she said that you need to burn through the sugars you injest before your body will gain it's energy from your stored fats by burning fat.
@hrstarr No, that's not what she said. She very clearly said that you can RUN OUT OF ENERGY trying to burn through the sugar before you get to burning fat. this is completely false.
This is only one of the 10 things I had wrong with what she said, but YouTube didn't allow me to make another post so all I was able to post was a single point. This video is completely false on many counts.
@brballinger You really need to listen to this video again. She said you have to burn through the sugar before your body can start burning off the fat and by the time your body burns off the sugar you run out of energy to burn the fat.
@brballinger There are many sources of energy that your body uses, sugar is one of them.... but not the most healthy and beneficial source. And keep in mind, it takes energy to burn energy. In fact it takes 1APT's to burn 3 ATP. (ATP is a unit of energy). So as you can see your energy level (sugar in this case) will eventually run out. It is replaced when you eat your next meal.
@greaserv8 Thank you for your rudimentary explanation of energy production—i understand how energy is made and utilized very well though. I'm not arguing that our bodies don't utilize fatty acids (well, ketones) for energy in the ABSENCE of carbohydrates, but she neither said nor meant that. I was responding to what she said, which is all wrong.
@greaserv8 sugar is extremely easy for your body to digest. What is this nonsense you're spewing? Protein is by far and large the most metabolically-difficult macronutrient for your body to break down—it uses 30% of the calories in protein to digest it, hence why protein is referred to as having a "thermic-effect".
Sugar is pretty much absorbed instantly—hence the issue with insulin.
@brballinger Unfortunately people eat a lot of sugar and your body will use it first before moving on to other forms of energy such as protein. That is what slows the fat burning process down... your body is focused on the mass of sugar you just ate, instead of focusing on protein and building lean muscle.
@greaserv8 This is wrong. Your body will utilize protein for energy via gluconeogenesis sometimes even when you're getting carbohydrates. It depends if the amino acids are sent to the liver or not—if they are, it's used for energy. Carbohydrates are protein-sparing because they greatly reduce this but only when eaten in a high enough amount, and even then not always completely. I work with fitness competitors who carb cycle and can tell you that at 50g carbs per day, they use protein for energy
@brballinger That is part of the reason Vi works. It is low in sugar and full of high quality protein, which means your body can build lean muscle faster. The low sugar content also is helpful in managing Diabetes.
@brballinger If you have any further confusion on how the glycolysis and glycogenesis works I would be happy to help. It was drilled into my brain in all the nutrition classes I had to take in college. It's a confusing system of chemistry and I would be happy to help you understand it.
2. The PDCAAS (Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score) of soy protein is LESS than egg protein AND casein protein. It is equal to whey protein. Google PDCAAS
Fancy, meaningless marketing mumbo jumbo like "trisorb ultra 3.0" or whatever horse shit visalus spews doesn't mean anything next to clinical trials showing that egg protein and casein are somewhat better, but the bottom line is most protein is interchangable with the next.
interesting....
