thank you for sharing this. i need to figure out how to break into creating production music for these guys for more tech type stuff. i got my work cut out for me with studying and learning as much as i can about this.
God, I've been digging for an hour, and so far the only information I can find on that album that the guy is holding at 2:42 (the one that Gnarles Barkley sampled) is that its catalog # or whatever, is BMG BMP 3001 But I don't know where to go from here. If you google "BMG BMP 3001" it's the only result, and then CTRL F in that page and search BMG BMP 3001 again, and you'll see it. That's all I can find about it =(
Finally found it! Go to killertracks dotcom and do a quick search for 3001. And there you go, that's the CD that the guy is holding at 2:42, and the CD that Gnarles Barkley sampled. They sampled "Last Men Standing".
I ve been looking for a much used library piece for years; it's been used in many different military documentaries; it's actually a quite long orchestral piece of which various snippets are used..it's at 1:50 in my posted vid "Messerschmitt Me-210 overview", with credits to "Score Productions".
Nice to see this. All I would say is that production library music has ALWAYS been high quality - at least from the top libraries like KPM, Chappells, DeWolfe etc. It's the buiyout libraries that tend to rely on el cheapo synth productions.
I completely agree with you, the older compositions were produced to an incredible quality, and in my opinion far better than some of the music which is coming out now.
"Swamp Fever" = classic!
Check it out!
