I know this sounds stupid, but I wonder if Reba was actually talking to a live audience. I mean, she could be talking to the people that are supposed to play the laugh track. I kinda think she is, cus it never says anything about a live audience. And you never hear anyone respond when she says to laugh.

@Countrylalaland Except for some occasions, all episodes of the Reba TV show were filmed in front of a live audience. I even know many people who attended more than one taping in the 6 years the show has been aired =)

@Countrylalaland I think it is a live audience, because they are different laughs everytime, and you can hear different voices, unlike how on other shows they are all generic.

@Countrylalaland Also sometimes when they are filming in front of a live audience, if the audience laughs for too long a time, they editors can cut it out and put in a laugh track :) 5 seconds of laughter is actually a really long time in a filming production.

I have the entire series on DVD. I just watched the episode these bloopers were attached to last night and couldn't stop laughing. I had to replay the part where Reba read her lines and Melissa (Barbara Jean) mocked her over and over, that part was sooooo hilarious!!! Melissa is fast on her feet, you saw the gears turn as soon as Reba read the line about the carrot... and out popped the great mockery and Reba tries to contain her laughter. FUNNY!! Sometimes actors will disguise bits of their dialog on props so that they can read it if they need to. She was reading it off a napkin, and Barbera Jean started picking things up, making it all obvious.
