That does not have to be so. WAKE UP.
@Amyls64 John McCain is an idiot. I don't know too much about Cynthia McKinnley, but I couldn't see Dr. Paul supporting someone who sponsored the Patriot Act and NDAA.
Actually, he just got her together with the other third party candidates to show how they were different than McCain or Obama, ultimately he endorsed Chuck Baldwin
To all evangelical Christians out there. OUR mission is to preach the gospel to every nation. To every corner of the earth. How do we preach the Gospel to a nation we are BOMBING!??? How do we preach the Gospel to a nation where we have overthrown the government and installed dictators? How do we preach the Gospel when we are constricted by our own government and seen as terrorists? Jesus did not live in a free society, we do. Or we did, until we let the elite take it over. Ron Paul 2012
@hnelsonn0123 My life is not Caeser's. My family is not Caeser's. My church is not Caeser's. My guns are not Caeser's. My profit, the reward for satisfying the public's demand at a reasonable price, is not Caeser's. Not one of my possessions is Caeser's. Caeser is a thief and a scoundrel, and should be treated as such.
What Jesus meant about rendering unto Caeser was that, at that time, resisting Caeser would have been counter-productive to the aims of God, at that time.
@firnibulations "Caesar is a thief and a scoundrel, and should be treated as such"
That talk horrifies me that you call yourself a Christian. Also none of this matters, you can still be a good Christian, truly the best government is a monarchy, where God is leader. Our "aim" is to reach the after life. To do that you don't need to abolish the government we have (although it is corrupt).
@hnelsonn0123 But in order to make a better world on Earth for my progeny, the only option is to marginalize Statism to the greatest degree possible. Hence, why I support Dr. Paul.
@hnelsonn0123 I am not convinced that a closed anarchical is unable to function efficiently and safely. I am, however, convinced that humans are pack animals with a natural tendency toward submitting to alpha males. As a result, in a strictly anarchical society, tribalism and dictatorship will quickly emerge. However, in a stateless system of equitable governance by consent, the human animal's tendencies are answered AND liberty is preserved. :)
@firnibulations Well I think we should message about this because it is interesting. Anarchism is working now. The state is a very very crippled form of anarchy. Its a very hard to grasp theory.
@ Wondermom, FINALLY ! ...... ( HOSEA 4:6 ) God to the priest, ." MY CHILDREN ARE BEING DESTROYED BY LACK OF KNOWLEDGE . " THE REAL BORN AGAIN EVANGELICAL VOTE BELONGS TO RON PAUL !
I have been doing number 1 for years and I am working on number 2..but I can't do number three..I live in an apartment. Everyone can do number one and two.
The state/government should have nothing to do with giving permissions (permits) to sexual unions. Neither for or against. Why would be even want to be put under the bondage of a legal agreement? If someone wants' to leave their substance. Leave a will. If you want to visit someone in the hospital. Lie and say your related. Why are humans such pathetic morons?
Who REALLY runs our world? search "israel Did 911" and search "ZionCrimeFactory" for proof.
"US Rep. McKinney has accused the pro-Israel Lobby in America (AIPAC, ADL, etc) for ruining her political career. She refused to sign the pro-Israel pledge from Congress and took a pro-Palestinian stance. Because of this, she said “war was declared” on her by them. In 2009 she told TIU's Ognir that “more than 99% of Congress work for Zionist-Israeli interests.”
HA! You couldn't make the case for Ron Paul if you had 20 mins!
Where to begin, indeed! Let's start with the fact that he is vehemently against the 9/11 truth movement! To solve 9/11 IS to destroy the NWO; and guess what Mr. Woods, the people who did 9/11 are the very same people who own/control the Federal Reserve!! True, the Banksters used their Israeli MOSSAD attack-dogs to plan and execute the 9/11 attacks, but they gave the order.
To deny 9/11 truth is to protect the NWO! Case Closed!
@RadioFlyffer Sounds to me like he knows it was an inside job, but also knows that if he opposed the mainstream media on this issue, he would be torn apart. He's already being ignored, and when talked about . . . . shredded on his stands on current issues.
Completely agree with what Mr. Woods said. However, Ron Paul is not only up against the other candidates, he is up against the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations) the Bilderberg Society, the Rothschilds and their banking empires, and people with vast amounts of money, power and influence. I am not counting him out, however. If the People turn out for him, then a miracle could happen.
The bottom line is..., to save America.., it is a fight between The Good and The Bad,
It is now Dr. Ron Paul plus the Good, Decent people of USA versus the Bad, Ugly & Evil Zionist Snakes who have controlled America for donkey years now, especially via their puppet politicians & officials, their powerful money-masters and their influential mainstream-medias.
It is a very tall-order for Dr. Ron Paul, but the good, decent people have to face this fact.., to save USA from impending doom.
Find "Dennis Hopper reads a poem on The Johnny Cash Show" on youtube. When you hear this amazing poem written many years ago by Runyard Kipling, you'll find that Ron Paul could easily have been one of those that it was written for. For the great mothers in our midst, just think "you'll be a woman my daughter." Protect and elect Ron Paul.
I have almost lost hope for this country until I got involved with the Ron Paul revolution movement. Ron Paul supporters understand the economy better than 90% of the mainstream economists. Most importantly we understand that times are different, and there is a natural power shift going on and Corporations and Government know that if we Unite and use the tools we have, they are done. Like Kelly Clarkson recently learned, Freedom is not only popular but honesty and integrity PAYS.
Truth is, anyone who does not support Ron Paul is either pushing the evil propaganda and is directly participating in it, or they are people who have not done any real research outside of what the mainstream instructs them to pay attention to. I can sit down with a 100 open minded people and after an hour, have them all say the same thing " I cant believe I was so ignorant" The problem is, the media spent 80 yr with the help of people like Edward Berneys to make sure they never sit with you. SAD
I laugh at all you people who care about what his beliefs on abortion, gay rights, or anything that is so miniscule. I dont care what his personal beliefs are all i KNOW is that he will protect my Constitutional Rights. Our government is setting up for a one world government and he is our only chance at reversing the plan. Vote Ron Paul 2012!
@Finifuck Yes! As a Christian I believe that too. The point is, even though right now he and I happen to have the same personal beliefs, what happens when somebody comes along and gets some power that does not have my same beliefs. People-many well meaning Christians don't get that yet. My rights. My liberties. They hinge on Your rights. Your Liberties. If I am to have mine, you must have yours. It doesn't matter what I believe. We have to get around to understanding that simple truth!
@Finifuck - but one more thing - please don't laugh at them. They just don't get it yet. I have found that getting my own mind right around personal liberties has opened up so many doors to friendships among people I never would have had the opportunity to know. There is such a great truth to it such a great basis for understanding others that when the light bulb goes on they will get it. It has been hidden from us in this culture so it's hard for many of us. We should be patient.
@Finifuck First of all let me clear up the gay rights issue. Ron Paul believes that the state should keep their nose out of marriage or anything religious for that matter. In other words, gays and straights are free to get married and the state can put their collective thumbs up their asses and stop pretending like we need them to govern our marriages!
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because Law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." ~ Thomas Jefferson I think this should be Ron Pauls message while the rest of the candidates are spewing out bs plans with made up #, Dr. Paul can be discussing what is really importaint. Such an exciting day today.
Anyone know why ROn Paul voted against cutting off foreign aid the Palestinians? He supported extending foreign aid of 500 million a year to Hamas. Anyone know why???
@HawkeyeSteam OF course. No this is real. HE voted against resolution 269 which was against cutting off foreign aid to the palestineans AND HAMAS> He was only 1 of three republicans that voted against it. Do a search for it. YOu can find it on the net. It would be nice if someone asked him about it at town meeting or something .
Reaffirming the United States' commitment to a negotiated settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through direct Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, and for other purposes.....Was not a bill to cut off aide. It was a bill to keep sticking our nose in their business. So yes, Ron Paul di vote against that. You are reading wishfully into hoping to find fault with his ideology. DO NOT FEAR FREEDOM & LIBERTY.
Ron Paul represents the 99% ( many don't realize it). He represents an IDEA. He represents FREEDOM, LIBERTY, SELF RELIANCE, RESPONSIBILITY. The other candidates, represent the 1%. Since there are more of us, WE can rally around Ron Paul, and change the world. Ron Paul said, "I am not interested in winning to be President. I am interested in winning to change history." As he wins, history will show that the 1% are not the rulers but rather WE THE PEOPLE are the rulers.
@ObsessedCyclist Yes, thanks for saying this. Sometimes people can not tell who their friends really are. The 99% have been duped by the "progressives". The only hope for a just, humane, peaceful and prosperous society is through liberty.
@jpsfirstresponse If you are voting on morals than Ron Paul is the obvious choice over Newt, after all Newt Divorced his wife while she was hospitalized and discovering that she had cancer. Newt took 1.6 million dollars from Freddie Mac while they were throwing Americans out of their homes... The choice is obvious
@jpsfirstresponse- on homosexual marriage, Paul recognizes people's RIGHT to be w/ who ever they choose. His view is, the government shouldn't have a say in marriage. Period. So he would remove the federal jurisdiction in marital affairs, and leave it up to the states to decide.
I agree fireguy. To me, all this says is that they are scared, very scared, and they should be. Their whole scam on the American people is in jeopardy! Ron Paul 2012!!!!!!
I'm a Ron Paul supporter guys and I thank everyone for their comments. I'm aware of Ron pauls stance on pro life pro second amendment pro small government but no body answered my question will he recognize homosexual marriage ? Also he seems to down play the threat of Islam . I've read the Koran and know the beliefs and seen those beliefs lived out in other countries. For the guy who said obey the laws of the land per the bible I'm sorry but that's a miss interpretation of the holy scriptures g
I'll try to explain it. Dr. Paul wants the states to be able to decide if homosexual marriages are valid. That way local populations decide which is the most fair. He supports the DOMA Defense of Marriage act which means that one state shall not be forced to recognize a gay- marriage performed in another state. In his personal views he supports traditional marriage, but politically he always sides with Liberty and state's rights. I think it is a great stance.
@jpsfirstresponse Although Ron Paul's policy on marriage isn't what you would like to hear as a Catholic/Christian, it is actually a fair policy. Leave it out of the federal government as it is not in our constitution. Because if we start dictating, rather than having choices/liberty then that could backfire when an stance is dictated that isn't yours. We don't live in a theocracy like Israel once did. Sharing Christianity is the role of the individual, not the government.
I love the Mises bust, Rothbard's "Concieved in Liberty" and Ron Paul's Foreign Policy book that he published with the FREE institute. I can't make out the other book though :(
tom i was wandering on your take as a catholic with voting for ron paul when he appears to condon homosexual marriages. on jay leno he states that the churches should decide and the government should stay out of it. Gingrich stands up for pro life, pro traditional marriage pro second ammentment. I need your advice, shouldnt one vote for moral s first?
@jpsfirstresponse (1) No one is more pro-Second Amendment than Ron Paul; (2) Actions speak louder than words on marriage; (3) Ron's answer on Leno is precisely correct: marriage was traditionally considered a Church matter during the centuries of Christendom; (4) Ron is pro-life. No more being scammed by phonies like Newt.
@jpsfirstresponse Gingrich voted for the Brady bill. Gingrich is not pro 2nd Amendment. Ron Paul believes life begins at conception. As a Catholic, do you want the government to dictate to you the hows and whos of religious ceremonies? Wouldn't you rather your church is free to live and worship and commune as they see fit?
@jpsfirstresponse Gingrich is a career political opportunist. His positions reflect only what he thinks will win him votes, not a moral set of princples. Ron Paul is the most realistically pro-life candidate there is, and he needs your support to get elected!
I am Catholic, I am a Veteran and I am voting for Ron Paul. Is there a small passage in the Bible that says you need to respect the laws of the land and those put in power....hmmm?
I read the Bible, all the way through, one time. I studied it, intensely, for about ten years. There is scripture that backs this up. There is also scripture that would clear one for refusing to do abortions, if ordered by the governement, as well. God's laws are to be followed, in cases like this. I could never have performed an abortion. I would have gone to jail, instead, if ordered to do so. But, I am told not to judge by the same Bible. I leave that up to God.
@jpsfirstresponse Please tell me you didn't say morals while talking about Gingrich. Gingrich cheated on his 1st 2 wives. He even handed his 1st wife divorce papers while she laid in her hospital bed with cancer. If you want to know the morals of each candidate look at how they conduct their own lives. Not what they say to get elected.
@jpsfirstresponse first thing you need to realize is that Gingrich doesn't "stand up" for anything. He's a neocon/statist/collectivist/opportunist piece of garbage. If Gingrich gets the nomination, it's the end of the Republican party, which is not entirely a bad thing.
@jpsfirstresponse Isn't the highest level of morals akin to letting people make their own decisions as long as it doesn't affect you? Voting to oppress gay's right to marriage simply because it goes against your "moral" beliefs is not at all moral.
& either way in politics you really just have to choose the lesser of the two evils. So it depends what is more important to you. To me trust is most important. & it's pretty hard for me to trust a 3 time married politician.
@jpsfirstresponse The libertarian position on marriage is that the government should not be involved. Government incentives for marriage discriminate against anyone who is not married, including single people and couples that want to wait. The only thing RP condones is freedom.
I'm not sure why you would vote for Gingrich as a Catholic. He cheated on his wife and is only in this for money. He has no morals -- at all. He stands for nothing and flip-flops more than Romney even.
@jpsfirstresponse He appears? He is saying that it isn't the government's business. Why do people want to get married? FOR GOVERNMENT BENEFITS for one thing. Do away with the benefits and people won't want to get married.
@jpsfirstresponse If you think the government can police morality, you need to think again. If you are going by the statement from the Bible that no man should lye in bed with another man, you should probably realize that men will continue to have homosexual tendencies regardless of whether they are married or not. This is not an issue to base your vote on. Ron Paul is simply trying to restore authority for who should and should not get married back to it's originators, church & God.
@jpsfirstresponse The thing we as Christians need to get our heads around is that Liberty is for everyone. Saying that does not condone same sex marriages. It just is saying that the Federal Government should have no say so in it. God gave us all free will. We as Christians need to recognize that and quit beating everyone over the head with what we believe to be God's will. I am a born again Christian and even a P.K. Our job is to set an example. Not condone. Not alienate.
@wondermom7 I agree.. If we believe in something we can always try to talk to people and help them see a better way. You can't make someone follow God by force because that doesn't do any good. they get no credit because its not even their will to follow. So who are you trying to help by wanting to force them? Your not helping them or God so isn't the very act a selfish one done for selfish reasons?
@wondermom7 - Actually, since you are a Protestant heretic, you have no idea of the teaching of "Corporal Act of Mercy, and Spiritual Works of Mercy". It means that sinners have to be rebuked, and told the truth that they are living in sin. If necessary, from time to time you might have to administer the necessary beating to get your point across. For example, should one of your siblings or children get involved in cocaine or heroine, it might be necessary for you do some beating.
@Search4diabetescure You are a very arrogant and ignorant person if you think that is what the bible teaches. It is our job to deal with people in our own Christian circles in a loving way. It is our job to live and teach by example hoping that people will find Christ. It is the Pastor's job to teach from his pulpit and watch his flock, and gather them up when they go astray. It is not the job of Government to do any of this. And certainly not the job of Government to beat anyone over the head.
@wondermom7 - Of course, Darling. What ever you say. You are so very smart and knows everything any way. The Bible this and the Bible that.
By the way, it is not my Arrogance, but this is the truth that is taught by the REAL CHURCH before 1962. Of course, as a Protestant heretic you are not expected to know any of this.
@wondermom7 I agree with everything you said, except marriage. Marriages original definition was a union of love between a man and a woman under God(s). I have nothing wrong with domestic partnership or any of that stuff, but trying to make it into something that defies its very definition is just annoying.
Otherwise, I agree with everything you said, we all have a choice, its our job as a Christian to respect others choices, and still do whats right. It is a narrow path to walk
@evnwood Google not only has expressed extreme support for homosexuals in the past, but also control recognized definitions for the most part. Also, to reach the top of a google search you can pay them money.
Militant homosexuals pay an exorbitant amount to discredit all christian and anti-gay groups(I say militant specifically, not all).
Do you have any opinions that are truly your own? or just the bible's.
I have no real opinion on gay marriage, since it has never, and probably will never effect me,thus my opinion for or against such a thing is irrelevant(its only opinion).
I do stand for every ones right to be free, and against those who use their beliefs to take from others freedoms.
@evnwood He already answered ur question "we all have a choice, its our job as a Christian to respect others choices, and still do whats right. It is a narrow path to walk." He said that in one of his comments. Im pretty sure most people, Christian or Atheist, agree that people have a choice of their own. Homosexuality is a sin but people take that way to personally. Cursing is a sin as well so does that mean Christians hate every1 that curses? I dont think so.
@evnwood My views agree with the Bible, its morals apply to both logic and emotion, and thus, satisfy me.
You'd be amazed how much gays are affected by actual intelligent resistance, they usually just yell at me calling me ignorant and full of hatred, when I am asking for logical reasons to support them.
Do they affect me? Their blatant contradictions and hypocrisy annoy me a bit. It is their choice to be with each other, I would not deny that. Thats called Domestic Partnership.
@0Maloy1 The problem with Christianity is any hateful bigot can clam to be one, and most do. Then hide behind this shield as they spew hate and intolerance all with an air of superiority. Being a hateful bigot is a choice being gay is not.
@ZenCodeMonkey I disagree with the gay thing, but thats a side topic in your post lol. I totally agree with the rest of what you said. Really any ideology can do that, even atheism.
BUT, if you know what is expected of a person in the religion, then you can usually pick out the fakes.
@ZenCodeMonkey Being Gay is too a choice ya moron no different than choosing to have sex with the opposite sex. Next time you think some gay guy is gay against his will, call the police and report the homosexual rape that you think is going on or STFU.
@ZenCodeMonkey You wanna see hate and intolerance? Read just about any pro gay website and see what they talk about and how they talk about them. The most hate spewing websites you'll find are Gay websites. They constantly bash woman as breeders and Christians in so many ways I can't fit it in a youtube text box. I don't know many others that go round sending envelopes with white powder to Prop 8 voters like Gays did to anyone disagreeing with them
@ZenCodeMonkey Oh I think EVERYONE should spend about a half hour perusing gay websites to find out just who is the real haters out there. Why do you ask? Or should I be afraid I am going to turn gay if someone tells me to do what I am suggesting everyone else do if they want the truth? Or are you going to suggest I AM "SECRETLY" Gay and that is why I am against them. Go ahead shit stain lets hear it.
@Ultramediacorp I find it ironic that you post about the "Hateful" gays yet you are the most hateful poster here... It has been proven over and over that the most hateful gay bashers turn out to be self loathing gays them selves. If you are looking for hate you need look no farther than your own posts and your own heart.
Ultramediacorp- "It has been proven over..". That is not true, if we do not like pedophiles that does not mean I am one of them. If we do not like Nazis, that does not mean we are one of them. Laura Schlessinger, she has been banned by special interests, has pointed out that this is a disease. Now, if you want to marry your cow go ahead - but do not try to make the rest of the world think that is OK. Cheers.
@jpsfirstresponse One should vote on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights first. This country was founded on the basis that everyone should be allowed to be whoever they want to be as long as it does not harm others. The Constitution doesn't allow laws that enforces one person's belief on another. Ron Paul is the only candidate that protects our Bill of Rights. Gingrich supports pro tradition marriage yet has been divorced twice and has had affairs, how can he dictate morals?
@jpsfirstresponse Ron Paul is against the Government having power over Marriage. He believes it should be left up to the States and Churches. Right now they live as married.. Their still doing the very act rather the Government will marry them or not. Its not like the government not marring them is stopping the act is it? Besides if the Government is over marriage then they could also say u can only have 2 kids. Do we believe they should have that power? Ron Paul 2012!
Celebrate morality, but also realize that morality is subjective. Morality is not an inherent trait, but rather a lesson contrived from consequence and understanding. Live your life, but let others live their own. If you want to help them, then live your life by example. Ron Paul's life embodies this: that every individual is responsible for his/her own actions, and no man/woman is above the next. Merit should be based purely on "acts of goodwill" and personal endeavor.
@jpsfirstresponse - It's very simple. Do you like to meddle in the affairs of others? Both Liberals AND so-called "Conservatives" love to meddle and BOTH build an ever bigger government.
Gays want to marry? None of my business! Iranians want a theocracy? NOMB! Girl wants an early abortion? NOMB! Don't like seatbelts? NOMB! Want to enjoy a good buzz at home? NOMB. You CANNOT LEGISLATE MORALITY! Government only grows to "do" more and MUST relearn to do the LEAST possible!
@BeauEvil That has to be the dumbest response I've ever seen. How can you keep wearing out that idiotic mantra "you can't legislate morality"? Who was the dipshit who came up with that stupidity anyway? WTF do you think the laws come from? You can't steal, murder, lie, all are MORALS developed by society and made law. European and U.S. law is immersed in religious morality, you dumbass.
@kimberHD45 - Morals exist outside the law. "Steal" and "murder" are immoral , and illegal, because they infringe on the rights of OTHERS! Forcing someone to wear a seatbelt infringes on private rights. Get it? You can't (Constitutionally) restrict people's actions UNLESS they usurp the rights of others. Alcohol Prohibition was unconstitional, and didn't work, even when it was law. Gun control doesn't work. It's a package deal. NeoCons can't pick favorites any more than Liberals.
@BeauEvil "infringing upon the rights of others", is a MORAL judgement. I don't care if you wear your damned seat belt or not, and you're totally right about prohibition and gun control, but the strengths of these truths STILL have nothing to do with the ludicrous idea that law is somehow not enforced morality. If it is not "right" to force people to give up their only means of self defense, then it is IMMORAL. Get it?
@jpsfirstresponse Pro-traditional marriage? Is that what you call cheating on your wife, I mean, wives? Newt is a player. He says whatever he needs to say to sucker in support. But when they really get to know him, they leave his campaign because they realize he is a big government globalist cheat.
@jpsfirstresponse What's more moral, allowing consenting adults to engage in behaviour that you consider sinful, or forcing them to behave the way you want them to - at gunpoint, if necessary?
Read up on your New Testament again. It might remind you that Jesus did not coerce or intimidate people into following him. He set his example, invited them to follow, and let them alone if they chose not to.
That's precisely what Ron Paul proposes that our government do.
@jpsfirstresponse Ron Paul is absolutely pro-life and unlike most supposedly pro-life conservatives, he has the medical career to back up his anti-abortion case. Furthermore, he doesn't protect the life of babies just to send them to war when they grow up. There will be no unnecessary warfare under President Paul.
Gingrich supported partial birth abortion so he is not pro life, he just says he is.
@jpsfirstresponse Keep your "morals" off me and I'll keep mine off you. Don't be a big, fat hypocrite like Gingrich. Btw, the USA wasn't founded on Catholicism, thank God!

Here is the battle plan for Ron Paul supporters, if you don't do it don't blame me if you are in a FEMA camp.
1. CANCEL YOUR CABLE! Do it now, today we have choices and we don't need cable! If you do this the MSM dies, stop buying newspapers as well.
2. Take all excess money out of the banks and leave only what is needed in a CREDIT UNION. With the savings buy PHYSICAL silver/gold.
3. Plant a garden if you have a yard to do so.
See very simple, but if done on a wide scale...revolutionary.

Finifuck 2 months ago 77
We have to get around to understanding that simple truth!
wondermom7 1 month ago 2
@Finifuck - but one more thing - please don't laugh at them. They just don't get it yet. I have found that getting my own mind right around personal liberties has opened up so many doors to friendships among people I never would have had the opportunity to know. There is such a great truth to it such a great basis for understanding others that when the light bulb goes on they will get it. It has been hidden from us in this culture so it's hard for many of us. We should be patient.
wondermom7 1 month ago
@Finifuck First of all let me clear up the gay rights issue. Ron Paul believes that the state should keep their nose out of marriage or anything religious for that matter. Since there are more of us, WE can rally around Ron Paul, and change the world. Ron Paul said, "I am not interested in winning to be President. I am interested in winning to change history." @jpsfirstresponse- on homosexual marriage, Paul recognizes people's RIGHT to be w/ who ever they choose. His view is, the government shouldn't have a say in marriage. Period. So he would remove the federal jurisdiction in marital affairs, and leave it up to the states to decide.

I'm aware of Ron pauls stance on pro life pro second amendment pro small government but no body answered my question will he recognize homosexual marriage ? Also he seems to down play the threat of Islam . I've read the Koran and know the beliefs and seen those beliefs lived out in other countries. For the guy who said obey the laws of the land per the bible I'm sorry but that's a miss interpretation of the holy scriptures g
jpsfirstresponse 2 months ago
@jpsfirstresponse
Qs? wb
1cont 2 months ago
@jpsfirstresponse Although Ron Paul's policy on marriage isn't what you would like to hear as a Catholic/Christian, it is actually a fair policy. Leave it out of the federal government as it is not in our constitution. Because if we start dictating, rather than having choices/liberty then that could backfire when an stance is dictated that isn't yours. We don't live in a theocracy like Israel once did. Sharing Christianity is the role of the individual, not the government.

tom i was wandering on your take as a catholic with voting for ron paul when he appears to condon homosexual marriages. on jay leno he states that the churches should decide and the government should stay out of it. Gingrich stands up for pro life, pro traditional marriage pro second ammentment. I need your advice, shouldnt one vote for moral s first?
jpsfirstresponse 2 months ago 2
@jpsfirstresponse (1) No one is more pro-Second Amendment than Ron Paul; (2) Actions speak louder than words on marriage; (3) Ron's answer on Leno is precisely correct: marriage was traditionally considered a Church matter during the centuries of Christendom; (4) Ron is pro-life. No more being scammed by phonies like Newt.
TomWoodsTV 2 months ago 70
@jpsfirstresponse Gingrich voted for the Brady bill. Gingrich is not pro 2nd Amendment. Ron Paul believes life begins at conception. As a Catholic, do you want the government to dictate to you the hows and whos of religious ceremonies? Wouldn't you rather your church is free to live and worship and commune as they see fit?
siweltnek 2 months ago
@jpsfirstresponse Gingrich is a career political opportunist. His positions reflect only what he thinks will win him votes, not a moral set of princples. Ron Paul is the most realistically pro-life candidate there is, and he needs your support to get elected!

I am Catholic, I am a Veteran and I am voting for Ron Paul. Is there a small passage in the Bible that says you need to respect the laws of the land and those put in power....hmmm?
JessieArmy 2 months ago
@JessieArmy
I leave that up to God.
mlang52 2 months ago
@jpsfirstresponse Please tell me you didn't say morals while talking about Gingrich. Gingrich cheated on his 1st 2 wives. He even handed his 1st wife divorce papers while she laid in her hospital bed with cancer. If you want to know the morals of each candidate look at how they conduct their own lives. Not what they say to get elected.
johnnyu3 2 months ago
@jpsfirstresponse first thing you need to realize is that Gingrich doesn't "stand up" for anything. He's a neocon/statist/collectivist/opportunist piece of garbage. If Gingrich gets the nomination, it's the end of the Republican party, which is not entirely a bad thing.
pretorious700 2 months ago 2
@jpsfirstresponse Isn't the highest level of morals akin to letting people make their own decisions as long as it doesn't affect you? Voting to oppress gay's right to marriage simply because it goes against your "moral" beliefs is not at all moral.
& either way in politics you really just have to choose the lesser of the two evils. So it depends what is more important to you. To me trust is most important. & it's pretty hard for me to trust a 3 time married politician.
lifeisgood070 2 months ago
@jpsfirstresponse The libertarian position on marriage is that the government should not be involved. Government incentives for marriage discriminate against anyone who is not married, including single people and couples that want to wait. The only thing RP condones is freedom.
I'm not sure why you would vote for Gingrich as a Catholic. He cheated on his wife and is only in this for money. He has no morals -- at all. He stands for nothing and flip-flops more than Romney even.
PoweredByMagnets 2 months ago
@jpsfirstresponse - Since when are morals the responsibility of government? Marriage belongs to the church, not the courts.
Of course, maybe you're a plant? You talk about voting morals, yet you're thinking about Newt Gingrich? That is funny.
DesertWildman 2 months ago
@jpsfirstresponse He appears? He is saying that it isn't the government's business. Why do people want to get married? FOR GOVERNMENT BENEFITS for one thing. Do away with the benefits and people won't want to get married.
ObsessedCyclist 2 months ago

Not alienate.
wondermom7 2 months ago 46
@wondermom7 I agree.. If we believe in something we can always try to talk to people and help them see a better way. You can't make someone follow God by force because that doesn't do any good. they get no credit because its not even their will to follow. So who are you trying to help by wanting to force them? Your not helping them or God so isn't the very act a selfish one done for selfish reasons?
fcspike 2 months ago
@wondermom7 I wish all Christians could read and understand your point.
Wortel24 1 month ago
@wondermom7 - Actually, since you are a Protestant heretic, you have no idea of the teaching of "Corporal Act of Mercy, and Spiritual Works of Mercy". It means that sinners have to be rebuked, and told the truth that they are living in sin. If necessary, from time to time you might have to administer the necessary beating to get your point across. For example, should one of your siblings or children get involved in cocaine or heroine, it might be necessary for you do some beating.
Search4diabetescure 1 month ago
@Search4diabetescure You are a very arrogant and ignorant person if you think that is what the bible teaches. It is our job to deal with people in our own Christian circles in a loving way. It is our job to live and teach by example hoping that people will find Christ. It is the Pastor's job to teach from his pulpit and watch his flock, and gather them up when they go astray. It is not the job of Government to do any of this. And certainly not the job of Government to beat anyone over the head.
wondermom7 1 month ago

@0Maloy1 I think you need to re-look up the definition of marriage... try google

Good day.
0Maloy1 1 month ago
@0Maloy1 True
But let me ask you something
Do you have any opinions that are truly your own? or just the bible's.
I have no real opinion on gay marriage, since it has never, and probably will never effect me,thus my opinion for or against such a thing is irrelevant(its only opinion).
I do stand for every ones right to be free, and against those who use their beliefs to take from others freedoms.
So do gays getting married effect you?
or
Do people like you effect gays getting married?
sad
evnwood 1 month ago 4
@evnwood He already answered ur question "we all have a choice, its our job as a Christian to respect others choices, and still do whats right. It is a narrow path to walk." He said that in one of his comments. Im pretty sure most people, Christian or Atheist, agree that people have a choice of their own. Homosexuality is a sin but people take that way to personally. Cursing is a sin as well so does that mean Christians hate every1 that curses? I dont think so.
ItsAboutWhatUDo 1 month ago
@evnwood My views agree with the Bible, its morals apply to both logic and emotion, and thus, satisfy me.
You'd be amazed how much gays are affected by actual intelligent resistance, they usually just yell at me calling me ignorant and full of hatred, when I am asking for logical reasons to support them.
Do they affect me? Their blatant contradictions and hypocrisy annoy me a bit. It is their choice to be with each other, I would not deny that. Thats called Domestic Partnership.
0Maloy1 1 month ago
@0Maloy1 The problem with Christianity is any hateful bigot can clam to be one, and most do. Then hide behind this shield as they spew hate and intolerance all with an air of superiority. Being a hateful bigot is a choice being gay is not.
ZenCodeMonkey 1 month ago
@ZenCodeMonkey I disagree with the gay thing, but thats a side topic in your post lol. I totally agree with the rest of what you said. Really any ideology can do that, even atheism.
BUT, if you know what is expected of a person in the religion, then you can usually pick out the fakes.
0Maloy1 1 month ago
@ZenCodeMonkey Being Gay is too a choice ya moron no different than choosing to have sex with the opposite sex. Next time you think some gay guy is gay against his will, call the police and report the homosexual rape that you think is going on or STFU.
Ultramediacorp 1 month ago
@ZenCodeMonkey You wanna see hate and intolerance? Read just about any pro gay website and see what they talk about and how they talk about them. The most hate spewing websites you'll find are Gay websites. They constantly bash woman as breeders and Christians in so many ways I can't fit it in a youtube text box. I don't know many others that go round sending envelopes with white powder to Prop 8 voters like Gays did to anyone disagreeing with them
Ultramediacorp 1 month ago
@Ultramediacorp You spend a lot of time on gay sites?
ZenCodeMonkey 1 month ago
@ZenCodeMonkey Oh I think EVERYONE should spend about a half hour perusing gay websites to find out just who is the real haters out there. Why do you ask? Or should I be afraid I am going to turn gay if someone tells me to do what I am suggesting everyone else do if they want the truth? Or are you going to suggest I AM "SECRETLY" Gay and that is why I am against them. Go ahead shit stain lets hear it.
Ultramediacorp 1 month ago
@Ultramediacorp I find it ironic that you post about the "Hateful" gays yet you are the most hateful poster here... It has been proven over and over that the most hateful gay bashers turn out to be self loathing gays them selves. If you are looking for hate you need look no farther than your own posts and your own heart.
ZenCodeMonkey 1 month ago

@jpsfirstresponse
Yes, of course you should vote for morals first.
That's why you should vote for someone who would not disallow gay marriage.
