Have you ever thought that maybe she loves the piano. Not everyone that is a child and the plays an instrument was forced... Ask first if she was forced before you crowed her comment box with crap on how bad you think her parents are. I think it was amazing. I am dating a piano major (who's been playing since he was a child-he asked to learn to play he wasn't forced) and I know how much work it take someone to play something like that. So don't judge, get you facts straight first...
it took me like 2 days to learn "mary had a little lamb" in piano which is like 25 seconds long, and this girl, who looks younger than me, just played 4:31 minutes of a much MORE difficult song than mary had a little lambb haha woww congratulations
Amazing. As a non talented person who can appreciate talent I very much enjoyed this. I closed my eyes and imagined some old master sweating and drooling and holding his mouth just right and instead it's some little girl just breezing through it. I can't imagine being able to coordinate both hands and my brain that well.
excellent. your tempo is so even and perfect. every note is perfect. i also love your trills, even they are perfect for the tempo. i love how you play. you have a wonderful teacher (wish i did.) and you are a wondeful student too. you don't seem forced into piano. you seem to love it. it's your whole life. can you play video games, or have any other interests?
@myggaz More emotion? Maybe you could all enlighten us by posting a video on how it should be played with "more emotion" since your such a expert. She plays far better than most adults who have been playing for years. Go see a psychotherapist if you need more emotional insight instead of trolling on a very talented child.
@AnnStanhope this is actually not the forcing, the small daughter plays piano for fun but not money and concert :). and she will behave well like the piano, i think :) ( Sorry bad English, lol)
@AnnStanhope How about if they don't want to go to school or brush their teeth or eat anything but candy? The advice you give is absurd though often said.
@josycal I guess you don't get it. I'm talking about parents who force their children to play an instrument, because the parents want so. I'm not talking about brushing teeth or going to school. That something you make them do, because it's for their own good. Forcing to play an instrument is no good.
@AnnStanhope It is the proper role of parents to force children to do what is best for them. I know a hundred kids whose parents did what you suggest. They have no skills, They have no direction, They play video games and watch TV. Playing classical music is the most important thing in my life but I would have never done it if my parents had left it up to me. You are wrong.

They gave me the gift of a lifetime and I will always be thankful that they forced me to play.
@josycal I have been forced by my parents to play the piano when I was young. I've said about a million times, that I didn't want to play, but I had to, I just had to. I wanted to play guitar, but that wasn't allowed
For you it's lucky that you've started to appreciate it. But I've never liked it. I've seriously had horrible days because of playing an instrument I didn't want and only my parents wanted.
@AnnStanhope That's your experience and it is unique. Don't give advice based on your negative stuation. Every person who wins a scholarship to a major university needed guidance and dsicipline from their parents in the early years. If you hate piano so much why are you watching and commenting on piano videos? I'm sorry you had a negative experience but you shouldn't assume that applies to anyone else. Piano is the greatest gift my parents ever gave me. I have cried too but the rewards arebetter

Many have said (I think) that these sonatas are partly or largely for personal experience-- it's you , the piano, and maybe the Mozart in your head, or whatever goes on in your head-- the world. Celia seems to be having a nice personal experience when she plays. When she gets to the sort-of culminative part in the higher register, the piano just rings out. She keeps the rhythm going very nicely.---

I love her but would love to hear more dynamics in this Sonata. It is very mechanical and robotic. I also learned this at that age and performed it in conservatory. Good job =)
her dynamics are just delicate and subtle, that's all; her internal rhythm seems very solid; to my liking anyway, her interpretation is preferable to that of many so-called super-players who tend just to roll over it with little feel for the instrument itself, who play a magnificent Steinway grand but might just as be playing a small Casio;
