  • i came up THE HILL in a very big fart and we jump wryly high and we landed fit a big smel!

  • His is english was OK but he has a strong accent.

go to russia, poland and ukraine no one fucking speaks english! lol

  • i'm from poland and i speak english and some norwegian.

  • @8maj Want a cookie?..

  • than don't say about everyone ok

  • "Ahh, it's very, very juden... Onefortunatelyafterfromserviceweyaddadamperproblemso, ehh... I'm loosing timeso, ehh, is a fontrightso... Splippyteeah... Boring manueha, don't have a chance to, to, topush anything becozacar is verydifficultodrive... very hard. "

  • Favourite quote: It's not the fart that kills you, it's the smell!

In norwegian fart means speed and smell means crash.

  • " In norway we rape after dinner " xD

  • Han kan bli med i The Julekalender 2.

  • i think solbergs english is good. even i am from finland and i am very young, i understand every word what he said

  • but he can speak english ....

  • You see I came around the sving and then I saw an elg and then I krasj

  • For me, the most important thing: He doesn´t need "minutes" to find the right words like Mr. ääääääam, aaaaaahhh, uuuuuhhhhhhh. ooommmmmmm, äääääääääähhhhhh....Loeb

  • my brother is not just a grey car but altso very nice tommeln opp vis du kjønnte den

  • This video is kind of dumb. When dealing with suspension, you take into account "preload"(spring stiffness) and "damping"(speed of spring return). Damping prohibits the spring from returning before the wheel has completely passed the bump. Mr. Solberg doesnt say anything wrong in this video(although he often does:)

  • his english isn't that bad at all

  • @G4m3r4u yes it is ; ) the only thing he needs to gett to know is simple words xD

  • Okay just so you guys know most people in Norway speak alot better english than he does.

  • I'm from Norway, and we had an English teacher who sounded like this... Thank god I started studying the language on my own.... xP

  • It was a moose in the engine

  • @USAdude30

I don't think people are really making fun of his knowledge of the english language, but more the way he is pronouncing words with his thick and heavy norwegian accent.

  • He sounds like my father.

  • His English is 1,000 times better than most English speakers' Norwegian.

  • @MagiMysteryTour Are you fucking kidding me, Sir? He probably has the worst English in the world, no offense though.

  • LMFAO xD

  • in tromso we call it ramfjordengelsk

  • im a norwegian and im soooo offended....

  • my car have a big fart i laughed when he said that

  • He is ikke very god at this!

  • Don't vorry! Ai æm very flytende in Inglisj

  • Its very funny to think that he and I had the same english teacher xDD

I do feel that my english might be a bit better than his though.

  • @Meevie It probably ain't that hard though xD

  • @SendMeTheRemote - Thats true xD

  • @Meevie haha i had the same english teacher as he too xD

  • @97henrik8 Atleast you managed to spell ''Come'' wrong :P

  • Well one things for sure, he speaks better English than we would speak Norwegian. So unless you thick piss takers speak perfect Norwegian I'd shut up…

  • @F1TAFF well, thinking about that english is the first secondary language we in Norway learn. I wouldn't be saying it like that to people in england or america lol

  • Almost everyone in Norway can speak English better than him!

But what hell, he can drive :P

Petter Solberg English, makes my day :D

Quote "I don't know what you call it, but in Norway we call it aircondition"...LOL

  • @Id334ler

Quote: it is not the fart that kills, it's the smell.

Quote: I had too much fart when i went into the swing, and went rett uti the granskau.

Solberg-english is the best thing ever!

  • @Id334ler HAHAHA

  • 4 people thinks Justin Bieber is a great really driver!:)

  • Well, I think he spoke pretty well. I understood his point and that is what should matter.

  • If you make fun of Petter Solberg's English, he'll run you over with his Subaru.

  • @97henrik8 I doubt it, considering you can't even spell "come" and "from"...

  • "demper" is norwegian for suspention. He had suspention problems. hehe

  • i dont care about his english or anything lol i got no problem with ppls accent, hes a great racer.

  • Bättre engelska än 90% av USAs befolkning. :)

  • @HerrOberg nei, dei 90 % er jo svenska :P

  • I don't get it, I understood him perfectly :o

  • @MissXMarlboro then explain to us what is demper.)

  • @Vitaminnn07 :) I'm pretty sure he meant "damper"

  • shit, it was so much dog on my window, and i didnt have pigs in my decks. but but, its not only only, XD

  • @xSICKskillZzZx

You can cite credentials all you want - fact of the matter is that you obviously did not have the proper comprehension to figure out my point. This is not something you can ignore by saying you excelled at comprehension in an unrelated text.

I am not insulting you in the slightest. Indeed I do have a patronizing tone towards you, but this is only because you felt the need to comment on someone else's English without being 100% accurate yourself.

  • @xSICKskillZzZx

If you had any reading comprehension, you would see that my comment didn't contain just criticisms of your phrasing - it was a sidenote since you yourself chose to correct someone. It's called a touch of irony.

I raised the point that I saw no such generalizations from the video, and that most people I've encountered have considered Norwegians (and their fellow Scandinavians) to be far better at English than most other non-native English speaking Europeans.

  • It's not the fart who kills, it's the smell

  • Lol, this is win! I'm from Norway too, and I don't blame him for slipping over words and stuff when speaking, I do too(although, not as bad as this xD)

Btw, he also said: It's a little boring when you don't have a chance to push anything xD Well, boring translates to "kjedelig" in norwegian, and we also use that word when saying that something is awkward/sucks, so..

  • @xSICKskillZzZx

I see no such generalizations. I see several comments on how this is poor English compared to the average Norwegian's English. Besides, based on your PHRASING, your mastery of English is still incomplete (let me refer to your 'consider I'm Norwegian too', it would be more appropriate to exchange 'too' with 'as well'.)

Incidentally, I'm also full-blood born and raised Norwegian, yet unlike you, when I correct someone in English, I at least exhibit appropriate knowledge.

    gtfo

  • does the english reporter understand Petter? xD

  • Petter Solberg is the english over-lord!

  • what a driving genius unbelieveble

  • @97henrik8 og det sier du hahaahah :P

  • Petter Solberg in an interview: "Its not the fart (Norwegian for speed) that kills you, its the smell (Norwegian for crash). xD

  • he is from norway. i really h8 him to settin' my country in that bad light -.-"

  • FLAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUT = embarrassing in norwegian....

  • British here. To all you: All learn Nowegian, then come back and mock.

  • @ItsAmbrosia ?? you saying that he mock the english? cause thats not true..not his fault he's not a star-student when it comes to english

  • @89deathkid No, I was saying for those who insult Norwegian, they should actually learn it first, since they all learn English, and they don't mock our language.

I was supporting you dude :)

  • I don;t think his english was that bad actually. I understood him alright!

  • I've noticed that espescially the older generations have problems when it comes to talking english, most likely due to the fact that teens nowadays have internet, and a gazillion english channels on the telly. BUT he is in fact rather poor in english, even for a norwegian/ scandinavian. >_>

  • what a fucking prick!

    learn english moron

  • @Vesturbyggd2 idiot

  • @Vesturbyggd2 Hey dumbass!

    Learn Norwegian!

he speaks Nrowegian, i speak norwegian, and evrybody from norway speaks norway!

Makes me sick that evrybody that speaks English thinks that they can say idiot or stuff like that to other people just because they can't spek english!

Learn Norwegian and see how hard it is to lear a new language!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @agaen96

    Petter Solberg is fucking dumbass!!!

In 21 century everyone has to speak english to communicate in internationally!!!

Petter Solberg needs to learn to speak better english (without the accent)

  • @Vesturbyggd2 OK, then put out a video where you're speaking Norwegian then!!

That way you can see how hard it's!!!

And he just drove an intense track, so he's tired too!

  • @agaen96 Dude, it's really not hard to learn a western language. Settle down spaz.

  • @Disturbingdarkmind

Every new language is hard to learn.

    What language do you speak?

  • It's so nice to hear this because when I speak Norwegian I'm sure I this is the equivalent of how I must sound. The important thing is that we all understood what he meant. That's what I tell myself anyway.

  • For anyone to insult someone who speaks without a problem is just plain sad. The truth is, alot of British-American people are rubbish at foreign languages, mainly because theyre so ignorant and stupid.

  • I love accents like this, they make the dialect of English I speak sound so damn boring XD

  • LoL i just got use to it that i actually understand everything he said and says

  • yeah! Go, Norway!......

  • @97henrik8 Me too. We use to laugh of its not only-only and I had a stop at the start...

  • sucha

  • HAHA he sounds like my uncle

  • I love Scandinavian accents when speaking English! <3

  • Damper is an english word, this video = fail.

  • hahahahaha, nice !

  • To all the native English speakers mocking. How many foreign languages do you speak fluently? Let alone when you have just finished a 20 minute stint of hard physical and mental exercise.

Petter may have a relatively strong accent for a Scandinavian speaking English, but he's a lot easier to understand than a lot of Americans and Brits I speak to on a daily basis.

  • @fatbaldblokebb Indeed

  • @fatbaldblokebb speaking a language is not only about knowing the grammar. He's been rallying for a long time and many people involved in the sport are Brits. having said that, the finnish guys or the french guys in rally aren't much better. This does not mean i criticize him, he's still a good driver. Veri guud!

  • @fatbaldblokebb oh cmon, Norwegians are good at speaking English. But this guy is a joke. "It's not the fart that kills, it's the smell = It's not the speed that kills, it's the impact" - Petter Solberg

  • @fatbaldblokebb

Hehem yeah, the only one i have heard speaking english like this is The King of Norway, HKH Kong Harald V

But honestley, this is crappy english. Norwegians have the easyest to learn english of all the pepole in the world actualy, and still he suck XD.

But he's a good driver, and a nice person. I've met him.

  • @fatbaldblokebb *cough* We scandinavians laugh at him too. Well, not at him, with him. So many norwegians has the exact same intense dialect, its just Solberg that unfortunately happens to be in unprepared interviews all of the time.

  • @fatbaldblokebb I am an American and I couldn't agree with you more. It pains me that Americans are so quick to make fun of someone else's second or third languages, yet here the same people that are mocking probably don't even speak English well.

  • @fatbaldblokebb the thing is, every one in Norway makes fun of this too.

  • @fatbaldblokebb

Eh.. i'm Norwegian too, and i am still a better English speaker than him.

  • LOL This gotta be the best English ever he must got like 6+ on school!

  • @SMGJohn You mean "IN" school.

  • Gosh I love Solbergs english! x'D

"It's not the fart that hurts you, It's the smell!" xDDD

"I had pigs on my deck and dogs on my windows!" x'D

  • haha xD

    Solberg is the king!

  • @SendMeTheRemote Solberg is the Konge

  • Often in Northern MN you hear people that sound alot like this. They don't have to search for words, but their accent is just as strong.

  • Sounds good xD

  • @TheGzeus northern norway? Are you saying people from north-norway is bad in english? lmao

  • @Berghammervoll What?

    I said Northern MN.

  • @TheGzeus I'm from Northern-Norway. English is my 2nd Language.

    The END! [o^.^o]

  • @dreamshooter90 Det er vel det som er det vanligste blandt nordmenn..

  • @hatwithfloppers Ja.. Ja det er det.

  • @TheGzeus

    Dude..

"got a big fart in the sving and i could not control it, and then i crashed in a stubb. "

  • REODOR FELGEN!!

  • Talking to me?

  • but but it's not only only XD

  • i think he's easy to understand..

  • Fy faen,

    NORGLISH XD!!!!!!!!!

  • Norwenglish maybe? ;P

  • HAHAHA! x'D

  • hehehe, tricky dicky, mye bra gloser her :-)

  • haha! 0:22

  • T-t-t-tricky!

  • ja heter damper på engelsk

  • hæhææ x'D "you say its a bad temper" xD

  • "The demper problem" (høres jo ut som "Temper")

også senere... "It's something inside, it's really tricky" haha, joda xD

  • Ja xD

haha, de tror de forstår hverandre^^
