Catchy tune! First heard it watching the end of the movie "Hall Pass" and noticed that I had to hear it all the way through, then had to find it on iTunes. Great Song!!!
Wow how random. I was watching the movie tonight and said to myself I think I recognize that voice. And it was Chris Campion - I could never forget the sound of the Bogmen. I followed all the guys in their solo careers & vic thrill in NYC. Great to see you on you tube. You sound better than ever. Hope you make it out to LA for a gig soon!
I am ashamed that it took me a year to find this. This is the unapologetic whimsy that made me fall in love with the Bogmen back in the basement of that bar at Fordham University. You guys obviously still love each other. Just reunite with some sense of permanence already.
The funniest thing is if you knew anything about this band, you'd know how silly stupid you look for making that comment. So are you old enough to vote yet? Cuz that the only excuse you got.
Not to mention the poster's ignorance of music; if I were to trace the lineage of the sound they're going for here, I'd say it owes a lot more to the early sixties than to the fifties...
Man, I am loving this so much. (How exactly did I get to my third listen-through in a row?)
The wild part is that, strictly speaking, there's a lot about the song that should come across trite, even cheezy. But there's just something about their delivery that makes it work so, so well.
Great observation . . . I think it's the fact that the Bogmen are tremendous musicians, who have been great friends with one another through thick and thin, and who are very relaxed and comfortable in their own skin, doing their thing. That and Campion's voice is solid gold rocknroll. One of the all-time great set of pipes in the history of rock and so few people even know.
this is an amazing song...it's my happy song every morning...kids (al six) are singing it too! :) Michelle, my sis and a friend of you guys, told me about it and we both know it by heart now and sing it all day long...keep it up guys! Our bro "Big Mike" would have LOVED it. xoxox hummin' in huntington
Been a fan forever. Made your show at the Nokia NYC... Blew me away! So, whats gunna happen next? Is a new album in the works? And how can I buy this single?
One of the musicians in the video with whom I had the good fortune to work with sent me this video. And I have to say this...Okay, what is it about this song and this performance that has me addicted? I'm not getting my work done, I just keep coming back to this video. It's insanely excellent. I think I've watched it like 100 times.
Cass Gives GREAT Lens, don't you think? He has been essentially the band videographer since the beginning. So much great footage out there . . . and still unreleased DV recorded shows from the last few years just waiting to be released . . . one day . .. .
i like the song a lot, and the videos cool...you all look like your having a lot of fun...i hope to be at Nokia on the 20th...the only godamn thing possibly stopping me are my finals!!
Top notch...who needs Arista when you've got youtube! spread the word...if family guy (show on FOX) gets a second chance, then so should the Bogmen! Someone call the future..
OK, this is absolutely stunning. Catchy, crafty, groovy-- these are only a few words to describe this fantastic tune. The Bogmen are picking up right where they left off, with a unique and infectious sound. NO DOUBT, between the reunion shows of '01 and last year at the Nokia, there's a big buzz fueling a BIG resurgence for this band... it's gonna be a fun ride for anyone that wants to jump aboard! Anyone else hearing this song as a sort-of sequel to Suddenly??
Wike sent me footage yesterday of him shot by his brother in LA. Clive is in Hawaii, didn't get him in it. But who knows, maybe we'll re shoot when he is in town in two weeks!
