In my opinion anime is an easy art style, the hard parts are just the hair style, facial features, and Clothes Style. The model for starting an anime drawing is always the same though, start off with a mannequin and then pose it, then add the clothes, facial feature, and hair. But, that's how I draw, everyone has their own style. Speaking of art, when Christmas comes around my mom said I can get a net-book, so i'm going to have my own art lesson videos 4 u guys. :3

Nice job, though I'd suggest adding longer, separate strands of hair to the ponytail so it looks less like a lump of hair. ^^; Just some other parts with making the clothes look a little more natural, but other than that, I love the bangs and her facial expression. :3

I cant draw characters in any other pose than standing, I can NEVER copy any pictures becuase it'll look NOTHING like it.

i think it would be better to use a copic multioutliner or sakura micron pigma for inking

oh! and when u ink dont be sketchy about it try to make smooth lines. i cant see too well but it looks like ur proportions are off a bit, but over all its a great piece! :D idk y bu im liking her hair with the giant bow in it xD

Ha ha, you say "inking" but you're really using a black colored pencil, yes? If you practice making your inking with a longer stroke you'll get cleaner lines.

I think a few months or a year ago they had a yahoo! article about some like ... 9 year old kid who was an art PRODIGY xD He was painting like Picasso

So yeah, age isn't really an excuse, but it does take some time to learn, since there are a few rules you have to learn to abide in art.

And I'm not offended, haha, I know my art is highly lacking. JUST JEALOUS XD lol

D: Don't worry! Maybe use tutorials or guides? IT takes awhile and sometimes you have to copy pictures you see. That's not bad, Refferencing and copying and tracing in your early stages are fine as long as you credit and state it's for practice.

It helps you learn anatomy and how to do your strokes and so on and so forth c:

Then eventually you only need simple pose guides and reference pictures (IRL or anime, though IRL is best)

Until your like the pros and can just make up w.e from thin air xD

if you're going to lineart, you should do a simple one stroke, and try not to go over it. you're going back and forth 'scratching' with the pen. it will help you make your lineart cleaner and even usuing one strokes for the pencil sketches will make drawing easier.

Usually a mechanical or number two pencil, medium to thin lead sizes and a G2 Black gel Pilot ink pen, usually 07 or 05 sizes.
