Har fått "Game disconnected: your connection to the server timed out.". Men har redan fixat allting sedan tidigare. Nu får jag samma problem, även fast allt är instället..

Thanks dude this actually worked for me. It was nice and straight forward and i've played a few 2000 ticket matches without being disconnected so far. Hurrah!

@Drizzy2099 To specify i was getting dc'd with a server timeout each time I played for about 10 to 15 mins.

My router says by defeult; [x] Allow users to make configuration changes through UPnP. So this means i have to uncheck the box, right? So we cant make our own configs?

How do you start a 1 vs 1 lan. Co op works okay like this but I can not seem to LAN 1 VS 1 without it going through the internet. And my internet is really terrible so i really want direct pc to pc

FYI, click start, click run, type "msconfig" (without quotation marks), click yes or type password if prompted, click services tab, then uncheck "UPnP Device Host" and "SSDP Discovery", finally click apply and ok, then restart PC. Now those services will be terminated until you undo the steps you just done because its better then having to always end those services every time you turn PC on.

@LaMMGaming Thank you so you should end those services, above is an easier way to keep them stopped.

I've actually been able to play like 4 matches without disconnecting. I couldn't even play like 1 before. Thanks man this helps a lot. But every time i start my computer i have to stop the upnp and ssdp thing. Any tips on how to prevent that? So it like saves automatically.

Yeah! You just right click it in the services.msc screen and press settings or similar and you'll see the "startup procedure" on the first screen that pops up. Change it from automatic to manual. That solves your problem!

Fungerade för oss både när det gällde LAN och "Server Timed Out". Fungerar även om det inte är LAN. Fixar alltså även "Server Timed Out".

The Battlelog page won't load, it says the connection has timed out.. it works on my phones 3g, i think its my computer. Can you please help as to why this problem could be occuring.

It is your network. Perhaps a firewall still active? Try to make it open up for the battlelog website. We had to do that with our Avast Webfilter. It kept us out until we changed it too.

LocalinI said something about firewall. That's not correct! Use Internet Explorer or Firefox. Or disconnect the router from the modemcable and try again. The router will still work but without internet connection wich could be the problem!

Do you have more than one router in you're network? Accesspoint? Make sure you get the settings set for all of them. The main router may still have UPnP on even if you turned off the other one. Try connecting directly to all routers in the network and change the settings. //Wallabaja

And the problem for my game is that when I am loading a map at the multiplayer it closes the game after loading and it says either ''You have been disconnected from the server'' or ''Server connection timed out''. I tried so many things, I honestly been busy with it for like 40-50 hours.

Make sure you have the latest version of the antivirus you're using. Then turn off or make an execption in the webfilter to let through the battlog website. Also make sure you have the latest version of PunkBuster. That's the usual problem if the video fix doesn't work. You can find it at google. I think it's called evenbalance. Scroll to Battlefield 3 and download the things in the correct order that the website tells you.

Way too much trouble just to play this crap. I bet you CoD MW3 wont force players to turn off their uPnP and other windows servcies in order to play in a lan with several BF3's running.

@LaMMGaming and for that I tip my hat to you. We'd have used this quick fix but I actually want to utilize upnp devices over the LAN so turning the service off isn't a good idea for our LAN :(

Help! I tried to access my router but it asked for a password, I've tried "Admin" but it doesn't work!

Try writing "admin" as ID and nothing in password. Otherwise, refer to you're manual. In worst case senario go for a router reset. You then go to you're router and press a button or a small dot to reset it.
