I had goosebumps from the very first note she sang until the end. Divine performance and, what is really the point in my opinion for a song, you can really see that she is feeling this song.

amazing performance, not just with the singing, but with the overall body language and performance of the song - better and more sincere than Toni Braxton i think, actually - I never understood why she always went "wooo!" at the end of a song that is meant to be about being broken.

the irony of her having sung this is that toni braxton has been working on a new album for the past couple of years and alexandra is working with the same producers. she took an interest in some of the songs that braxton had already recorded and her label put in a higher bid for them...toni wasn't very pleased.

Increddible ! For mee she is far better than Leona Lewis and i think she nailed the Semi & Quarter Finals , and for me none of the other acts did tha - they messed up atleast once , Alexandra Performed 4 Amazing Songs ! This for me is Fantastic ! i do think she will be as big as Beyonce and i think im glad i voted for her so well done :D

I know they work with the contestants and pick their songs and they get to dress their stage I think they should do the same for American Idol, maybe they would produce better singers like Leona Lewis!

AI contestants have more freedom to express themselves as a potential recording artist. I think the judges often pick the wrong songs, and I think the contestants can pick whatever song they like (so they cant blame anyone for their choice!)

X Factor is a much smaller production than AI, less money is put into it, (UK is a much smaller country), and I personally think that AI therefore produces more stars.....X Factor so far really has one truly successful star, i.e. Leona Lewis.

I've watched every Season of American Idol and the contestants never get choreographed dances or dancers or such amazing light shows...I'm a huge an of AI and Kelly, Carrie and Fantasia (the other winners were garbage...but the runner ups like Clay and Archleta and other contestants like Daughtry, JHud, Melinda, LaKisha, Carley, Mario and Allison this year, were amazing too) but Leoewis and Alex are better vocalist than any...except JHud...she's the best to emerge from reality TV in any country!

I still think that it is because American is a much much bigger country, more people means more probability of finding great talents. Americans know how to entertain, and the UK isn't known for outstanding entertainment (hence the UK buys shows from America)

Leona, Alexandra are very good singers, there's no denying. America produces more stars (you just mentioned).

Sometimes see Simon's face, he is hoping the winner to befull of talents, and whole package, his eyes are like "cha-ching"

american idol was actually bought from the uk we had pop idol before x factor.... i think probably most shows on american prime time were bought from the uk ... americas got talent dancing with the stars american idol hells kitchen usa ramsays kitchen nightmares usa big brother usa the office ... i think american idol lacks any heart and they do the worst songs ever most of the time so its better for the judges who actually know a thing about music should pick them

Being from the UK myself, of course I know that a lot of the programmes started in the UK. I didn't say America didn't buy shows from the UK. More precisely, Simon owns a lot of the shows, so I don't know if you can call that buying. I personally disagree with the judges picking songs thing. On X Factor, you can always see the judges get blamed by the contestant and each other about song choices, it is a matter of personal taste, and at least on AI, they choose what they are confident with.

I understand where you are coming from but star and talent are not always synonymous...especially in America (ie. Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, Rihanna, etc). At their very core, these are singing contests, and the flash is not necessary. American Idol doesn't do too much flash unless a contestant decides it on their own X-Factor oes it because it test the full capacity of the contestants early before they make it...Simon sees "cha ching" yes...but also talented singers.
