Did you know that when you set your radio to band other than FM, ex LW SW aka AM, you can actually hear if your remote controller actually works or not?? Well, a bunch of people here will say "Why did you ckeck that in the first place, you retard??". Answer?? By coincidance actually. Greets from PL
i HATE these kind of pseudo scientifical explanation on youtube-level. just skip them, talk faster, or link a wikipedia article. your speech on infrared light made me RAGE. PRETTY FAST.
@MaZe741 Suggestions - maybe you could rewire your internal circuit to divert all that negative energy OR just don't watch these things...Im sure you would be RAGE free and Colin happier for it ;)
Are you guys going to extend the deadline for the Halloween contest another day since your servers have been down for 45 minutes now? I wasn't able to submit my entry from about 8:30 pm Pacific and onward.
UV is much more interesting. For example, scan your ID or drivers license with UV light. You'll see features that you don't see in normal light. Pass some U.S. currency over the UV light too. Features pop out.
i find it funny that in school we are just starting to lern about infra red light and ultra violet light. (i suck at spelling). so this video is just more info
I love Collin's Lab, Circuit Skills, Make Presents, every single Make: video apart from Sylvia's Super Awesome Mini Makers' Show. She's just showing off that she's being famous because of her Awesome father, and that she couldn't do any of this without her awesome father, and that her awesome father has everything I could possibly want, and that her father is awesome! Huhhh... Sorry, I'm just so mad!
So it's the electro-magnetic waves sending the information from my remote control to my T.V. The phototransistors in the cameras detect the electro-magnetic waves and that's why camera detect infrared light and that's how the motion detecting devices on the wall in schools and offices and the motion detecting hand driers. Wow! It wasn't a bad thing to learn about advanced electronics and circuitry! I really find it amazing!
Can we please stop badmouthing Make Magazine in these comments? I love all of the things Make: has brought to my life as a maker, and I don't think that my love for Colin's videos, which is great, quite outweighs my appreciation for the community and information Make: has provided in total.
@Skyfinity Me too! Apart from Sylvia's Super Awesome Mini Makers' Show. She's just showing off that she's being famous because of his Awesome father, and that she couldn't do any of this without her awesome father, and that her awesome father has everything I could possibly want, and that her father is awesome! Huhhh... Sorry, I'm just so mad!
@FlyHighRC386 I'm guessing a heat seeking missile would have a series of sensors on it. When it's target changes direction each sensor would read a different amount of IR and the goal of the Missile would to always have all IR signals the same so it would probably adjust it's fins until the signal is equal of all sensors (facing it's target) pretty simple stuff. Look up a Solar Panel tracking system, it probably uses something similar to that.
@FlyHighRC386 The IR sensor is actually many sensors. When the target goes off-center, the side sensors output correction signals to the missile guidance to bring the target back to the center. (I could tell you about the tiny monkey with a joystick looking out the window, but that's classified. To avoid problems with PETA lawsuits, the military just spouts the party line about IR sensors instead..)
the first question you asked: my answer yes i did know that
no you didnt blow my mind
also this is for the people who think that infra red led looks that blue irl, it does not, basically because cameras can detect ir and that is the only light meant to go through the plastic of the led, the led looks seethrough because the ir is going through it and into the camera, in real life we cannot see ir so the led plastic would look much darker
I've got a simple IR project on my chan if anyone is interested. I made a simple IR Illuminator circuit, then removed the IR filter from a camera to see the IR light better. Basically, a night vision cam.
No dude, you didn't blow my mind. What you could do to blow my mind is to share ways so teens could manipulate teachers with these waves. (Try to spare naseau)
That piezo buzzer has how many inputs? Power and GND or more? Anyway, we could control something else besides the buzzer right? As long as the load resistance is equal to the buzzer?
Could an IR sensor, like the big white one be used for lets say a custom made fuel injection timing computer instead of a proximity sensor? I'm building a home made Electronic timing and fuel injection system for small engines?
i just love these musics
