@Cowboystuntman Their was a deleted scene (not sure if filmed but scripted) were the film started with Wez and his mates attacking a group of survivors and Wez took the blonde as his lover after killing the rest. As they are raiding fule they hear a blown V8 in the distance, they stop and see Max drive past at high speed not far away. They jump in their vehicles and give chase, then the film cuts to Max as seen on screen. It made sense with Max's escape scene as Wez recognised that cars sound.
