  • I used to be able to do that then I took an arrow to the knee

  • WHERE CAN I GET THE SHEET MUSIC FOR TROMBONE FOR THIS SONG

  • MUST ASK BAND TEACHER AT MY SCHOOL TO DO THIS

  • I wish the timpani would have been an octave lower to get a bolder sound :)

  • My Middle School band could do this..... I must tell my band director tomorrow ^_^

  • It's because our band director composed the music for us to play.

  • where did you get the music?

  • hey, I dont suppose you could share the sheet music. My concert band would love to play this, thanks.

  • Is there any way to get a copy of this sheet music? Would love to play this with my school band!

  • I would Fus Ro Dah a Giant off the Throat of the World for sheet music of this...

  • ok, our school band wants to play this, where do you find the music for it? we showed our band director and he loved it! but he cant find music for it anywhere :S

  • I would pay through the nose to get this sheet music.

  • The band played this in concert last night, after a few more weeks practice and in a room with good acoustics. It was incredible. And Mr. Lawson wielded dual batons. Epic.

  • I'm trying to get my band teacher to let us play this for the spring concert

  • Wrench, best musical instrument.

  • Excellent arrangement for a concert band. Unfortunately the skyrim theme did not exist 15 years ago when I was in high school

  • Reminds me how I don't know many people that play video games other than CoD.

  • skip the guy who hit the chair with a wrench..

  • This sounds a bit off tune... but maybe it's the camera.

This band is so much better than mine, though.

    D:

  • I'm transferring to this school and learning to play a brass instrument!

  • that teacher deserves a medal

  • This is terrible. Why? NO ONE YELLED "FUS RO DAH!" At the beginning! >:(

  • Awesome job Mr. Lawson!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    -Jackson

  • Superb job, I think of actually picking this song once I get my teaching degree.

  • That was so awesome, but tell the brass to tune D: !!!!

  • Sounds like a comic version lol :)

    Nice job though.

  • COOL!!! It's that!

  • Would love to get a copy of this to give to my band director.

  • needs more cowbell

  • @TetrusCo hahahaha...classic

  • are you expecting any of your kids to come 11/11/11

  • @stealxfox well, we've got it all off school since it's Veteran's Day here in the USA. :)

  • @Joshuamarklawson i live in the usa but the bastard teacher union made it so we have to go to school that day :'( but im going to skip any ways :P

  • composer reminds me of the gamer rehab guy from online gamer lol

  • Wow. This is amazing. I would definitely have stayed in the band if my teacher had done something like this. The only thing that could make this better is if you got Toby Turner to add some lyrics. Hm.. maybe I'll try and bring his attention to this. Don't be surprised if a crazy singer gamer guy tries to contact you.

  • One problem with this... No String Instruments!!!

  • @graciecatcon well yes, that's because it's a Concert Band arrangement. I'd love to have had a full orchestra at my disposal, but it was great fun setting it for Concert Band instruments.

  • Can't listent to this I'm sorry. It's so not Skyrim.

  • WOW....SO cool. those clarinets really tie it all together:p great job band and Mr. Lawson!!!:D

  • you know you have a awesome teacher when he has you play elder scrolls music

  • Do you have the sheet music? so i can play it with my own ensemble. Please. Well done BTW! really nice job!

  • alright kids, who wants to learn music from a video game?

  • so happy that we got it to finally come out good!! can't wait to practice this more in band and try to perfect it!! thanks mr. lawson for letting us play some amazing music and get our school out there more (: 13 more days!

  • @vono286 You're school is awesome!!!! I have so many praises to give out to you guys.

  • is there sheet music for this i want to play this at our school

  • loved being part of this! thanks mr. lawson for being such a great band director with fun songs to play! it came out really well considering the camera used, and the concrete box of a band room we have :)

  • @sarahwcs1 You're part of this? Very nice. You should feel very proud of your school. You have to admit, your teacher is pretty boss.

  • @hillbillyman101 thanks! and yeah he is awesome! best teacher i have ever had :)

  • Hope he went to bed right after this to level up.

  • So, this is what there teaching students in band? I like it.

  • pretty neat, cant wait for skyrim

  • nice

  • im a cod fan dont worry im kidding

  • I don't who that is on Clarinet, but they clearly set the foundation of the entire piece! Just goes to show how important the clarinet can be! Clarinet: 1 Everyone else: 0

  • @ax2damax Yeah, we actually had 4 clarinets and about 5-6 flutes on that line, so it's pretty good if they sound like 1 or 2 instruments. They certainly did a fantastic job (as did everyone) in keeping the rhythm throughout the entire piece.

  • these kids did a good job

  • It is a joyous day when my school is recognized by the gaming community :) Awesome job, guys!!!!

...47 people are not the Dragonborn...

  • 47 people are not sons of Skyrim...

  • Super respect. This is awesome, although to be honest, it sounds like crap :/

  • @rubiksman333 That is a false statement. By the looks of it the room they are in has crappy acoustics. The camera doesn't seem to be that good either. (by the way...what camera is it? It isn't the best...)

And you really should be considerate. This is good. I love it and I wish I could be at that school.

  • @hillbillyman101 it's a Zodak Zi8, which is actually a very good portable HD video camera. It's internal mic is not the greatest though by any stretch of the imagination.

  • @Joshuamarklawson I see. Well, if you're going to be filming these kind of things and posting them on YouTube and getting big recognition, you're school should definitely fund you guys for some better equipment. Because this was awesome and I still get shivers up my spine around 2:30 in the piece :D

  • thumbs up for the wrench guy, let 'em know we respect his passion

  • Love the 'wrench' guy. Keep up the great work!

  • Now i want Hans Zimmer to compose this.

  • @braddy000

Who needs Hans Zimmer when you got Jeremy fricking Soule.

  • How could anyone dislike this! 47 stupid people in the world!

  • YOU BETTAAA!!!!

  • This is where its at. Although where the frick is Whitinsville?

I love that guy in the back... Gives s*** bout nothing but him and his wrench. Could you do better than a wrench??? Obviously not! That is fricken awesome! I wish I could go to this school. Best. Teacher. Ever. Too bad I don't have any like him. hahahaha

  • @hillbillyman101 Whitinsville is a small town in Massachusetts, so our equipment isn't exactly up-to-date. But, hey, if it works, why not? I'm sure I speak for the band in saying we appreciate the positive feedback.

  • @jamuz355 I see. It was pretty good. It does work! It was just funny. haha

  • Im likin it mr. Lawson-- Zach (your former trumpet player) :)

  • 47 people obviously aren't Sons of Skyrim

  • greetings from Fiji!

  • @MorgannaMDG Greetings! From jolly 'ol New England!

  • @Joshuamarklawson

Greetings! From jolly ol' ol' England!

  • @Joshuamarklawson Where can you find the sheet music for this beautiful piece?

  • @ZOMGkenny It's not published anywhere. I arranged it for Concert Band myself. If you'd like a copy of the score send me a message.

  • hahahaha this is my brother's band class. Whitensville all the way!

  • Epic, I really like this song. Great job Mr. Lawson. (study skills is the best class ever!)

  • They only need 40 true TES fans for epic vocal... And that would be... Divine..

  • bethesda, these kids (and prof) deserve free copies...

  • @decadence9nin9 I am part of this band and I completely agree. Unfortunately, I think that there are only like 5 of us that are over 17, so "legally" we can't play the game. (not that it's going to stop me) :)

  • @jamuz355 And is most of the class into video games or, more precisely, the Elder Scrolls? Because that's an awesome cover you did!

  • @DarkoHexar Thanks, man. We worked hard on it and I'm glad people like it! A lot of us are excited about the game. I personally hadn't heard of the series before Mr. Lawson presented this song to us but now I'm considering playing through the whole series.

  • Great job sir, I'm sure your students and you had lots of fun making this!

  • It sounds really good even from the recording, i want to hear this live

  • Way to make our school somewhat known....great job Mr. Lawson...this is awsome and soooo intense....

  • By Akatosh this is AMAZING!

  • Yeah go wcs

  • DR. LAWCE GET SOME!!! THIS ROCKS MR. LAWSON. SHOWS PEOPLE JUST HOW GOOD WE ARE. HAHAHA GREAT JOB BAND AND DR. LAWCE!!!

#I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING IF YOU REALLY COMPOSE WITH TWO BATONS IN THE CHRISTMAS CONCERT

  • Worthy of the Nine Divines!!! :)

  • Comment removed

  • Incredible job, guys! As if I wasn't already stoked for the game..

  • veryy niceee

  • LETS GOOOOO CRUSADERSSSSSS <3

  • I was the proud "helicopter camera man" for this video. :D Excellent job high school band! Get excited for "One one one one one one (DOTS!)"

  • This is GREAT!!! Should Play it at football games!!! :)

  • Did you see those baton strikes in the 2:30s? He's daydreaming about slaying dragons up there! Poor kids probably won't play any other song again come 11/11/11.

  • That's so cool. Very well done. Those kids were part of something great. The teacher must be a fan, lol.

  • Winner: Whitinsville Christian High School Band

  • Needs more Cowbell.. You gotta have more cowbell

  • TUBA

  • Nice work!

    Greetings from Poland :)

  • i wish my high school band would make a song based off of Skyrim.

  • elder scrolls put this on their facebook you know

  • @firenuckle98 yeah, we're thrilled with the gracious "shout-outs" from both Pete Hines and TES on Bethblog and Facebook. :)

  • wtf....wish I went there when I was in HS holy mudcrabs batman.

  • Ok I don't know if it is just my eyes, but is he using a monky wrench for an instrument?

  • bigmac51290 yes he is.

    (I'm a proud member)

  • The cowbell guy is the best one! :P

Haha this is so amazing I wish they could play the theme at my school! XD

  • Omg i wish my music class in school did this! I WOULDA LOVED IT SO MUCH MORE!

  • good stuff! I nominate this guy for coolest teacher of the realm!

  • @Dathayn Mr. Lawson is like the coolest teacherrrrr

  • Thank fully I have a 4 day weekend that Friday! Some TES:V Collector's Ed. for 48+ hrs strait.

  • @gamerdude1996 ha! 48 hrs+??????? Imma be on it for all 96hrs straight!!!!!!!!!!

  • My god this is amazing.

  • Now you just need a choir

  • FUS RO DAH!!!!!

  • I hereby challange every, and I mean EVERY band, orchestra or anyone else who does music to do an equal or better job than these guys and UPLOAD IT as a video response for this video!

Enough thumbs up, and we might get to hear an epic contest!

  • That was really amazing! :D And thanks for supplying the score; awesome of you :) But get a better recording device!! Haha I would love to hear this live! :)

  • Great job guys. I cant wait for the game. Everytime i hear this music it about brings a tear to my eye. lol

  • The conductors having the time of his life :D FUS RO DAH!

  • while the camera is moving around the class room if u look at the window u got a few people looking in side jamming to the music that 's awesome by the way

  • Wonderful Job! I would love to see the band do other game related covers!

  • First off, very cool. I never got to play anything that cool in highschool.

Secondly, I do feel bad for you and the kids. When I was in highschool we had a much larger room for band, a room that had great acoustics as well. Hate the kinds of cuts that have happened to the arts. They're so important but so often neglected in funding. I have no end of respect for those who teach kids the joy of playing an instrument, especially with the funding issues most schools now have.

  • This was pure awesomeness! It further increases the hype for me!

    Great job!

  • Nice to see other Christian Gamers! :D

I wish I graduated from this high school.

  • CHIRSTIAN highschool playing game ost? EPIC! (christian myself but this is kinda unheard of in the schools i've been to ... too bad alot of christians can't see that games are an art form)

  • @sheogorath19 Bad vibes. I'm atheist but my high school was pretty religious (for this country anyway) and this stuff would happen. If the students showed they were serious about it then stuff like this got done in assembly. Well, nothing as cool as TES main themes, though.

  • so tempted super impose some daggers into the conductor's hand

  • Good enough.

  • Get some chorus action up in that shit. I'm crap at singing, but I know the lyrics by heart in english and draconish. Man, this sounds awesome, you guys are incredible.

  • FUS RO DAH!

  • @TheNuclearpolitics In their defence, it could be the recording device also, I often sound off-key when playing my saxophone or singing though I know I'm in tune (musician with over ten years of experience)

They should've skipped the cowbell-thingy though, and yes the speed doesn't fit everyone in there xD

The trumpets also needs some practice.

Though, it's a pretty good job!

Would love to get the score!

  • the composer looks excited

  • Thing is being able to do something like this in the usa is rare in their schools but in Ireland you can play any tune you want in school.Marching band or not :P

  • win this is

  • I prefere the original...

  • starting to like christians...

  • @Zombienauta ("starting to like christians...") Whatt does that have to do with anything

  • @Zombienauta never do that!

  • Could do with a bit more cowbell.

  • You should totally email me the Tennor Saxophone part if it came with the piece...just shoot me a message if you can.

  • i don't know if it's the camera mic...or them, but it just seems jumbled up...

  • HA! That's great.

  • *band director enters class* OMG GUYS I AM SOOO SICK OF WAITING FOR SKYRIM LETS DO THE THEME SONG!!

*all the guys in the classroom* HECK YES!

  • Should have a hell loud Electric Guitar Come in at 1:03 LIKE REALLY OVER DRIVEN That would kick ASS

  • If only you had more percussion equipment. Considering its a private school of 200 people, I'm guessing that's all you have :(

On a side note, tell the percussionist sitting down to stand up!!! haha

  • If I went to that school I would have done the actual singing, I memorized it in dragon-speak

  • I wish that i was in your band. My band director has our symphonic band (high level) play music better suited for a middle school band.

and i swear on all that is holy i will Strun Bah Qo her if we play "Lead on O' King Eternal" again.

  • well done!

  • So epic. I wish my school were this cool.

  • I'm so thrilled that this was performed at a Christian school haha, I never had the opportunity to go to one but I am a Christian and SOOOOO EXCITED FOR SKYRIM! I remember waiting for Oblivion and it felt like forever, Skyrim is less than 20 days away... it can't come soon enough!

  • I wish I had a band teacher as fun as you when I was attending high school.

  • I love you so much. I really wish my band teacher would let us do this. Really really badly. (Side note from a tuba player, your tuba players are pretty heavy, I know that the position of the camera doesn't help but man...)

Besides that, you are by far the coolest band director ever.

  • good job guys!

  • YOU NEED A VIKING SIZED BAND ROOM.

    BECAUSE THIS BAND IS VIKING.

  • You need a full choir singing in the dragon tongue

  • awesome! have you guys ever played stuff from the Oblivion or morrowind OSTs ? it would be awesome if you cover some of the songs. Jeremy soule is such a talented composer btw

  • I kinda miss the good old days of High School, being able to do things like this.

Your a bunch of lucky kids to have a conductor like that.

    Great Job ;)

*dusts off my old trumpet and finds the valves are stuck*

  • Wow... Thats awesome guys! I'm glad that there are music programs out there that use modern songs. I think it inspires students that play music from games and other entertainment that play and watch.

  • ahhhhhhh the sound of squealing brass and too-loud precussion.... brings me back man....

  • taking fanboi'ism to a new level

  • You could see all the kids going past the window and then stopping and doubling back like "whut?".

  • Shoulda left the tubas out. Sorry tuba players.

  • If I was going to school there and heard that as I walked by the music room all the dragons in Skyrim couldn't stop me from kicking open the door and screaming

    "DOVAAAAAAAAHKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!!"

  • @Rootaboogle hahaha Oh don't worry. I actually have a student that opened up the door to the band room and "dragon shouted" at me. it was awesome...not gonna lie.

  • @Joshuamarklawson Amazing.

I bet a lot of students are going to be home sick from school on Novemer 11th...

  • @Rootaboogle It's Veteran's Day so we've all got it off. :)

  • @Joshuamarklawson can i come to your school ? ^^ a teacher that likes games... not much of them here in the netherlands -_- we only had one english teachert that was addicted to WoW, but she kept it to herself

  • @Joshuamarklawson I wish my music teacher was this bad ass, anyways nice work!
