Fame, in and of itself, is a poor indicator of one's true skill level, particularly with regard to technique. Louis's singing for example, and Bob Dylan, and tell me...WHO'd want to sing like Brittney Spears does now, lately? Yeah, her money, but even COMEDIANS are making fun of her on YouTube! So fame, & even "popularity" should not be the "STANDARD" against which one is measured. No accounting for the taste of the general public, in their collective ignorance.
And if anyone's going to come back @ me w the lame, "If you don't like it, you don't have to listen to it" line. Beat you to it. I Don't listen to this clip anymore, not after the first time. Proper technique is still proper technique, & distracting affectations, which also affect their pitch for teeny moments, still should be discouraged. @qwinkly There are professional singing teachers who instruct their students to sing the letter 'h' before a word that starts with the vowel 'a' . Also, when a singer puts all their passion into a song, their breathing at the beginning of the word puts an extra emphasis on the letter 'a'. It is a great song for sure.

Since I had heard this song I bought a 3 CD collection album of Selah. I found out that this ONE song sticks out SO high above the rest of the songs on the CD, that it is just not comparable anymore. I do not know how these singers at this very song became so "begeistered" (spirited), but it did happen here in a way that none of their other songs that I know of even remotely had.
I love this song. we just sang this at my pathfinders service and i kept on wanting to sing it. I got the solo but i had fun while i id it. never be afraid to commit jesus into ur life.
I used to sing this song in school as a child. I'm not a believer, but this song still reminds me of my childhood and the memories make me feel happy and safe - I think if God were real, he would want that.

I've been saved for 7 years now, and while my life has had major bumps in the road due to me not following God like I should have been, He was still there with me even if I felt like He wasn't God has come back into my life recently, and I regret not following Him like I should have earlier in my life, accept Him now your life will have a wonderful change

I do not know how these singers at this very song became so "begeistered" (spirited), but it did happen here in a way that none of their other songs that I know of even remotely had.

I used to sing this song in school as a child. I'm not a believer, but this song still reminds me of my childhood and the memories make me feel happy and safe - I think if God were real, he would want that.

@CrownedWithLaurels yes I believe God would want that, but I think even more He would want you to come to Him and accept Him as your Saviour. I've been saved for 7 years now, and while my life has had major bumps in the road due to me not following God like I should have been, He was still there with me even if I felt like He wasn't God has come back into my life recently, and I regret not following Him like I should have earlier in my life, accept Him now your life will have a wonderful change

Thank you for posting this. I am medically challenged and really felt tired and had no more strength to carry on. Feel that no one could understand how I feel, and no friends or my loved ones could be here readily for me.
