I have had turbo 4-cylinders FWD, and LS1 Swapped Rx7, built 4g64T eclipse, and an NSX... Every car is different, but we are all car guys. Look at what you get for your money to. A $600 header on an Acura Integra will give you 3-5 hp, $600 headers on an ls1 f body will give you 20-25 horsepower. Same with exhaust, same with cai, same with cam, and same with every other bolt on. Even when you go f/i with the v8 you don't need much boost to get a lot of power, so you don't necessarily need forged internals to make respectable numbers like you would a 4 banger

Adding stages is not the only thing that you can do to an SRT-4. Big power comes from engine mods and bigger turbos. There's an SRT-4 out there that was converted into RWD that reached well over 200 MPH

currently I drive an mx5 (swear im not gay) that I have turbocharged etc. the thing handles like nothing else (my commodore handled good as I had spent lots on suspension) but the mx5 anihalates it. my plan is to oneday swap in an lsx using v8roadsters kit. that will be fun.

@link12245 because theres a chance condensation can build up in the empty portions of a tank, especially in the winter. condensation means moisture means rust wich can lead up to a whole bunch of problems including wrecking an entire fuel system and damaging the engine. notice i said chance/can and not will. only ever seen it happen once.

I have had turbo 4-cylinders FWD, and LS1 Swapped Rx7, built 4g64T eclipse, and an NSX... Every car is different, but we are all car guys. Everyone did dumb shit when we were young. i made a grill out of wire mesh, but because more experienced guys taught me the right way, I learned.... Instead of putting Ricers down remember we all had to learn...
On a side note, if the ricer is a douchebag and lies about his car then make fun of them. I dont want that trash in the car scene

V8s have more potential and are much better in reality because not only do you have hp, but you have torque. 4 cylinders with forged max out at around 700-900 whp, V8s can go up to 1.500-2,000+ on forged.

@TheSchmiders The 2Jz is an inline 6, which I personally prefer over certain V8's, that's why I drove a vehicle with a straight 6. 4 cylinders are built for fuel economy and price, tell me what the fuck is in a toyota yaris ? A v8 ? No. A V6 ? No. An inline 4. Tell me what the fuck is in a Prius ? Inline 4. That 2v Rustang is meant more about torque and having fun..... but yeah i agree 260 hp is pathetic. V8 will always have more potential then inline 4, and torque.... :)

Look at what you get for your money to. A $600 header on an Acura Integra will give you 3-5 hp, $600 headers on an ls1 f body will give you 20-25 horsepower. Same with exhaust, same with cai, same with cam, and same with every other bolt on. Even when you go f/i with the v8 you don't need much boost to get a lot of power, so you don't necessarily need forged internals to make respectable numbers like you would a 4 banger

@emill910 Ok lol.... You are right.... earlier lt1 f bods were 3000-3100 though. The 4 banger in the Evo is hardly what you would call reliable stock..... But I agree. But once you get into big numbers like a turbo ls1 cammed would put out then it's powerband is useless below 6k rpm and then you need forged unless you want to throw a rod, and that entails over $10k investment with labor. With LS1 you get all the hp and none of the lag.... plus a 700 hp 4 banger gets like 15 mpg lol.

There's a heavily modded SRT-4 that ran a 7.90 in the 1/4 I forgot what was done, but it was probably swapped. There's also a guy that runs 9.3 with the stock motor. There are people all over that run 11 EASY.

My education on the matter goes WAY beyond yours. Maybe I'm just used to turbocharged vehicles being ACTUALLY FAST rather than theoretically fast. Shit, the Mini Cooper-S (a delightfully quick 1.6L turbocharged car) is faster. There's no arguing that. There's a heavily modded Civic (rolling with a C32B) running mid 6's...

Adding stages is not the only thing that you can do to an SRT-4. Big power comes from engine mods and bigger turbos. There's an SRT-4 out there that was converted into RWD that reached well over 200 MPH
