At least with the CGI cartoon, Roughnecks Chronicles, they shifted the focus somewhat back to the book. With CGI they got full enviromental suits with Jump packs on.

Altough not as cool looking as a maurader with extras, but if every trooper got a maurader, their tactics would include wider dispersal of troops, limited friendly fire, which is the books reason for the failure at Battle of Klendathu.

the only starship troopers film that is worth watching is the first one. frankly, judging by this trailer, it looks like another piece of crap. why do these directors think they can make this movie. most of the acting looks cheesy and the characters don't look so interesting. if you cant make it better than the first one, don't make it. you will only loose your fans.

I totally agree. The first movie was great, Butt he second one was just made to milk the cow for cash. And they destroy the theme completely, A fantastic movie concept completely ruined. It's cool that Rico is back, but without the original director, and not to mention Neil Patrick Harris. In my opinion, they should just stopped producing after the first move, that way Starship Troopers would become a legendary film. It will never be the same. NEVER!!! :D

The only part of this movie that resembles the book is the names of characters. They completely left out the powered armor. Fucktards.
