@MustangCobra22 Wheels are key. Because they are "unsprung weight" a wheel that is 10 pounds heavier will make the care accelerate as though it is carrying an extra 100lbs of cargo. It is a 10x factor.

Expensive rims are machined and come in 3 pieces, and are light. Shitty rims are cast and are heavy as hell. Anything over 18" is going to weigh too much. Google the weights of name brand rims, you'll be suprised at what they weigh and how expensive light ones are.

most of u guys dont realize tha the new 5.0 is lighter,and just as strong,but it wasnt built with the intent of added boost,the 2003 cobra was,03 cobras can hold more horsepower becouse its internal components are mor capable.That being said the 03 cobras can tolerate more boost and horsepower than a new 2011 5.0 even if you supercharge a 5.0,it cant handle as much boost(psi)as an 03 cobra,the cobras have a higher horsepower tolerance.
