I can remember that to this day, as I watched it go over the side. (My sister had a friend who lived directly across the road from the Hotel, so we got front row seats)
You don't by chance, adventure out to Falsgrave do you? My father was the vicar of St James' Church until 1996. If you do venture down there, let me just say the vicarage driveway is a nightmare!
@Someloke8895 Yes you got got it right that is the landslide that caused the hotel to fall into the sea.I do get over to Fallsgrave now and then,never thought about the vicarage before i will keep my eye out the next time i go ...........John

Brings back a lot of memories, I graduated from Scarborough College in 1957 and remember swimming in that cold swimming pool, Now live in USA but this video makes me kinda homesick. Left after 57 and haven't been back sorry to say. thank's for memories.

Thanks Walter i am pleased that you enjoyed the walk around and not getting tired in the meantime,me, i was knackered filming it with all the hills that i had to climb up and down,but it was worth it in the end...............John
