  • Nice videos man! This is why they tell you to not try it at home...because if u do u learn stuff...

  • if you put your salt water caps in salt water instead of using foil you will get a much better capacitance id say by about 40-50% on the ones you have

  • @HomeDistiller thanks, it has to be cheaper than the pcb caps i just destroyed....

  • @crob227 f you buy caps you need to make sure you have high voltage PULSE caps. any others will last only seconds.. also every cap you add in series adds its voltage rating to the string.. 3kv+3kv+3kv=9KV.. but bottle caps you should run all in parallel

  • HuHu, HuHu, Hillbilly

  • lmao that doesn't look too safe

  • they wil go phopp'n popopopop

  • Kool vid ! More Tesla in "Wonderful electric system" by HorizonDelta ;-)

  • umm... build me one? lol

  • Redknecks are beasts

  • @loscdirtrider stay in school kid, and dont be a follower. and by the way high freuqency energy can kill a xbox

  • What do u mean and how do u know I did that to my xbox ....

    @crob227

  • Never get discoraged bro. Nice Job, but I was hoping you showed "How" you made the coil. I got a 10" dowel that I'm thinking about using.

  • @11111111jws what kind of dowel???? man, im not gonna lie its a pain to do by hand, but if you have to just take your pipe and drill a small hole at the top and bottom, this will let you feed the first bit of wire into the inside of the pipe, then its just patience and winding keeping it tight and when you get tired, or a sore finger, which tends to happen several times, just use the clear tape to hold it in place on your break, so it dont become loose...happy coiling

  • @crob227 Yea, I do that already. But I made a ficture for my chuck on my drill to hold it and U turn slow & guide it with the other hand. the result is no cross wires and tight no gaps.

    Thanks bro.

  • Hey i wanted to ask I have my tesla coil built but when I hook it up i dont get any spark at all no energy running through the system. When I un hook coil then energy goes through the system I have a coil that is a couple cm in diameter 5ft long and a tesla coil a little slimmer than yours have you had this problem? thanks and have a good one your work is great its helped me alot in my tesla coil progression.

  • @bclinto83 primary circuit consist of...... flat coil, capacitor, and high voltage supply.....

the hv supply builds current in the cap, which make the constant arck a pulsed ark, that pulsed arck goes through the primary... the secondary which is a air coil recieves the energy from the primary circuit... thats basically it to this style of tesla coil. there is alot more features you should add for safty and longer hv suppy life, and tuning is improtant too.... but this should get you going

  • So what if he's a redneck, he'd kill ya with that Tesla Coil >:D

  • did you ground your tesla coil ?_?

  • Flippin Amazing!! I love it!! Long Live Tesla!!

  • @alwaysmisternoise Tesla was evil. His discoveries were amazing!

  • lets see jerksta9000 build a tesla coil.

  • WTF does that even mean

  • Did you pass grade 3? You didn't spell Multiple right, ya redneck

  • ahhhh, you need a hug buddy, everythings gonna work out for ya, i promise.

  • @jerksta9000 he built a tesla coil, and you ask if he passed grade 3... LOL?

  • So how hard is this to make? I'm going to build one, Ive got plenty of wire, copper pipe, and a neon transformer, along with bottles. Is it really hard to make, or is it kinda simple?

  • the hardest part is winding the coil, youcan buy 12 in diameter cardboard round pipe at homedepot that would work great for a fatter coil, its said that the lardger the diameter the beter, yet we never see anything bigger than 6in diameter....multiple static gap turns the sound down alot, and jar capacitor are cheap top make..... hope this helps

  • thank you that helped a lot. Yeah when i was looking at your vids, it didnt seem that complex, but winding the coil by hand is gonna be a reeaaalll bitch.

  • @antonina111 if you dont know what a capacitor is yet, study electronics and electricity more before you attempt this. Not trying to be an asshole, but i dont want you to die

  • A capacitor or condenser is a passive electronic component consisting of a pair of conductors separated by a dielectric. When a potential difference exists across the conductors, an electric field is present in the dielectric. This field stores energy and produces a mechanical force between the conductors. The effect is greatest when there is a narrow separation between large areas of conductor, hence capacitor conductors are often called plates.

  • It is a device that capacitates.

  • Great videos.

How much salt are you putting in the water capacitors?

    Thanks

  • Nice, How long are the sparks? Ill have a look a pt1 and 2

    Paul

  • about 4" , but if you hold a insulated screwdriver they will strech to about 10 inch to grab it.

  • 4 times 2.54 = 10.6 * 10000 = 101600v = 102kV Sparks!

    Kewl

  • its great to see you using a multiple spark gap, i always imagined that the more spark gaps the more "aether energy" gets sucked into the curcuit.

    great work

    thanks

  • i hope that the case, but i believe its just dividing the gap, see i can get the same output if if take all the spark gaps, and add thespacing to make one big spark gap, but it would be unbearable loud, see i read the multible spark gap just quiets down the setup, its said with enough spark gaps the system would run almost silent..... thing is, to many gaps and the capacitor discharges onto there self

  • Crob man, your work is great. keep up the good work.

  • great vid bro thanks for showing me your capp hook up i assumed that was what you ment, but wasnt shure ,any way

are the water caps better then rolled caps'

i may try and make somthing like this because thier so cool,i seen a web site 10 years ago and this gie had a spark gap made of a rotor of plastic with metal rods the rods copleted the gap and this gie ran it at 3000 rpm i think he said the high rpm ups the frequency and teslas

are said to be RF generaters,i think

  • ok your deffinatly fkn nutts bro but commen from me this is a good thing

i wouldnt have it any other way ,the fkn plyers ,,dam you got some balls i would go withn 10' of a tesla bro im serious

but thats becuse im afraid of the dam things ,im glad your brave because now we now we see what can be done

any way have you ever heard of a rotating spark gap it adds frequency to the primary

i think its been some time sence ive read about them

  • you crazy bastrd ,lol i love it ,

you shure crank out some vids bro

your far better then discovery channel

trust me i dont watch it much any more, less i wanna see crab fishen.

wow i just seen you door nob toriod

ha haa thats fkn bad as bro

  • lookin better each time-have you tried moving the tap point onthe primary?

i read about using a tuning coil before the primary coil....might be worth a try
