sweet sound mate.. iv seen just about all the jtm45 vids on youtube and your sound nails it for me!!.. who did the clone? maybe somthin to do with that strat too.. it has a particular glassiness to it that I love.. crank those bends and its like a plane taking off!! all that wall needs is an early 60's fawn vox ac30 and it would indeed be my dream bedroom.. keep crankin out the vids!!
@rizzavich - Thanks for the kind words. I built that amp and it is still going strong two-years and a couple of hundred + shows later. I had actually tweaked it a bit after this vid was shot before giving it to the customer.
Amp I built out of a Metro-Amp kit, MM trannies, NOS Mustard caps, carbon comp resistors, and tweaked tonally and circuit-wise to match my real JTM-45.
Check out the Mojave Limited Edition Plexi 45. It will amaze you. No other "clone" like it out there and this from a guy who has owned a hundred of the real ones....
sounds good, les pauls are great, but you gotta allways go back to a strat, humbuckers wonderful, but get boring an repetitious too quick..stevie ray and ritchie blackmore, they got it right..
First of all...sounds KILLER!! I'm wondering why the JTM 50 OT transformer? Should that have primaries for EL34 ? not KT66? Why didn't you get a JTM 45 OT?
Yes sir! One of the better '69s I've heard. In this clip, the clone has JJ KT-66s. They have since been swapped for JJ EL-34s. Pres are a mix of Amperex and RCA and the Rectifier is a IEC Mullard. Caps are NOS Phillips Mustards.
Thanks man! Still working on getting a better recording setup to do the rest of them. This JTM-45 clone is already on the road w/a well known so-tex guit slinger and has recently been in the studio with Chris Layton.
too much amps!!!!

LOL! Don't have one anymore. Had a real nice R8 for a while, but traded it in on a '64 Strat. I hear ya though!

Damn lol. Were you playing through the bridge or neck pickup in this video?

My '65 JTM-45 has a later JMP-50 OT. That's part of the magic with this setup. JTM-45 OT isn't as "in your face" as this one.

Awesome room, man! A wall of sound! Sweet tone, is that an original '69 Strat? Keep playin'
