  • It makes me laugh thinking that the audience sat there waiting for 24 hours until the chefs came back... LOL

  • Wow, it's like a reversal of tradition. Usually the French are overly arrogant and the Japanese are overly humble. Here Sakai's acting kind of like a cocky prick and Pierre is saying he needs to be humble to keep his dishes delicate.

  • I'm like 4 years after but thanks for uploading this special French battle ! It is a very good show.

  • So much Yoko Kanno music from Escaflowne and Macross Plus. Love it.

  • goddamm love the dubbing-comme-french-accent...

  • Olivier Roellinger at 6:33!!

  • Awesome Battle!!!

  • seriously kaga is the man!! this feels like a medieval battle! using a stage coach!! totally love his concepts, they are always genius and very classy. makes every battle seem so legendary

  • I LOL'ed at Sakai fixing his hair all the time and his "Fuck yeah! Let's do this!" fistpump when they revealed the theme ingredient.

  • 3 star is considered high?

  • @CCTV9

Watch the Marco Pierre White videos 'Marco Cooks for-'

It's a series from the 80's but it shows the amount of sheer dedication, personal resolve AND the talent you need to get even one star. Cooking has to be a life, not a job and you still have to be lucky.

Lol, and you see Gordon Ramsey as an apprentice in the background

  • The taste of the oyster lasts about 15 minutes! I want that!

  • Wow. This battle is very unique.

  • lol, is sakai going to travel around france in those red pajamas?

  • Sakai-san didn't walk into the kitchen with the pear, is this a bad omen? Or will he have to go out and buy one?

  • he's a cooking mario!

  • @bmoredon xD i'd totally stalk him and defend his attire lol

  • marchez.....go shop heh

  • I can't help but be amused by Sakai's "aww sh%^$%" expression at the theme ingredient.

  • why though? sakai is reknowned for his seafood. He has never lost a battle that contained seafood. But seeing from this, the french chef knew where to go to find extremely fresh seafood

  • i thought he lost the octopus battle

  • You're right dmnxCGI: Sakai lost an octopus battle to Tadamichi Ohta. Sakai also lost the 21st. Century Battle (Grudge Match) to Toshiro Kandagawa (Theme Ingredient: Red Snapper).

  • This may be the best battle ever.

  • Hey, they're playing the Escaflowne soundtrack!

  • sakai + homard = oh noooooooeeeeeeessssssssss!!!

  • lol. Ironic that he's so good at fish but so bad at lobster

  • Homard. Sakai sucks at lobster though.

  • archo89, U Rock Man, Do You Have The Iron Battles In Hong Kong ???

  • At 8:20 Pierre said "good looking female lobster" lol.

  • Archo, you rock!!!

    Thanks!!!!

  • WHooohoooo!

  • this is sooo cool. thank you archo89 you make my viewing happy :)

  • This is more exciting than UFC fighting

  • japan vs france, a 25 hour "battle". this is some hardore shit for a cooking show.

  • Leon, thanks so much for uploading this very special IC battle. Sakai v. a 3-star Michelin chef should be very interesting to watch.

  • pls post more i am enjoying it! thanks so much arch089!!!

  • This is quintessential Iron Chef!

  • And so...they went off on a quest.

  • To fight off evil dragons!

  • Thank you!
