M u s i c = Original Prague Syccopated Orchestra = 1974 - 1995 - Czechoslovakia. Now Czech rep. They still perform devided into two Bands--MelodyMakers with singer Ondrej Havelka /they do Swing/ , and OPSO with bandleader Pavel Klikar .
actually, much of the fashion from the 20's was inspired by ancient Egyptian culture. King Tut's tomb was uncovered near the end of the previous decade and Egypt-mania soon worked its way into fashion culture. the short bob and dark hair as well as the basic tunic design all come from Egyptian hieroglyphics. If you look at designs by Erte from the 1920's the drawing have a flat quality similar to hieroglyphics, unlike the 1910's and 30's where the drawing had more dimension!
@obsidiantyger yes agreed. My answer is the same on a different page. The YT display is based on thumbs up counting so it looks as though no one responded. Thanks for your addition. Much appreciated.
Whenever I see vids/pics/whatever of fashion from any time period, excluding now, I can't help but think if we've exhausted all the fashion that there is. Because nowadays all I see are crap.
I like your video..Some people kill me when they say Rihanna and Victoria Beckham introduced the Bob or call it The "Rihanna Style" The truth is the Bob was introduced in the 1920's when women started to cut their hair and wear fancy dresses..Nice video BTW
Thanks for the comment. Yes the bob in a sense came in during the 20s. But it was a fashion rage that was inspired by Egyption art styles for what is now termed Art Deco. Due to the discovery of Tutanhkarmun's treasure!
love the shoes in the beginning.
