No it wasn't - you make no allowance for attrition. The most telling stat is ahead when both finished - over the two years it's 14-6 to Senna (28-4 in qualy). Prost got 6 of his 11 wins (and 60 of his 186 points) in the races where Senna failed to finish. Prost however finished all bar one of the 14 races Senna won.
