Two sides to every story.......... What would you be saying if your photos was used by A big company in its adverts with out paying you? I an not saying I am for or against it just pointing out this

@devonmale69 - you make a good point. Let me be clear, I'm not advocating piracy, but the bills put forth are not the answer. Corporations do not get to bully through legislation simply because they haven't figured out how to make money with new technologies. I don't know how you curb piracy, but I know these bills would do more harm than good.

@ajwood2001 Well, a good idea to curb piracy is to make the products being pirated the most affordable or more affordable then they already are. At the moment the incentive is- it's too expensive better pirate it. If it's cheaper and more affordable (especially in this sinking economic ship) then people would be more obliged to pay. You'd get a smidgen of those who will still pirate items but a fraction of what it once was.

That's horrible reasoning...to stop pirating just lower the price of the product....pirating is wrong and people will do it no matter what the cost of the product. (I guess besides free)

@ajwood2001 Piracy is an issue your all right. But its as old as vinyl records and maybe even older. For as long as i can remember people have always been copying music/video/software. No matter what type of laws you pass they will always find a way around it. But taking out the needing prof to remove content or take down a website would just lead to more political repression. This bill would make our government almost like that of china's

@ajwood2001 This is true But who has not made a copy of a cd or tape, if you remember them, in there time? how many have paid for CS5? at times I think everyone has made a copy of one sort or another. we are all guilty of this one I think well apart from Me :)

But honestly, I've called everyone who represents me in Washington I've told my friends and family why SOPA/PIPA is a horrible idea.
