  • Awesome video! Two questions if I may ask.

    1) When using two mics for getting a wide sound (for ex. like you did on the rthm. guitar) how do you go about panning? did you pan hard left on mic1 and hard right on mic2?

    2) Would it be necessary at all to time align the closer mic (using delay) to the further mic so that there wont be phase issues?

    sorry for the questions they are probably very basic, always trying to learn.

    btw. you achieved an extremely nice mix between the guitars. great job!

  • @DjAccelerate Of course... we are always here to help. Regarding your first question- we do typically pan the wide stereo pairs hard-L and hard-R. In a stereo presentation, small phase issues (which will exist) are not as prevalent. When you need panning/mono compatibility it's not usually the best choice. 2) We don't recommend delay, but mic positioning for optimal phase coherence. This requires trial and error. You can zoom in to tracks and analyze, or in a pinch, slide the tracks.
