@xljimmy89 Yes I fabbed the other also changed it to Snowmobile engine design on the other. Allot of people think this is terrrible idea but once they drive it there shocked how well it works and how fast. The big tires had to go kept breaking the tranny housing :(

wow i got almsot the same gokart but red.. powdercoated the rollcage and took it down to the frame and powdercoated the frame.. pieced it all back together and made improvements that tyrail seemed to have been lacking but anyway awesome go kart if fixed up :)

@itsthefifthletter TyRail is the company that built this .There out of business and for good reason the original swingarm broke within 10 mins of every use.Don't waste your time trying to fix it just rip out the swingarm and start fresh.original factory design is SO FAIL

hey man im building mine the same way with the swing arm idean accept my frame is more of a rock crawler style frame its basicly the same as your frame only mines got some what of a nose to it like a front clip on a car and also mines running a slant6 out of a dodge diplomat and a transfer case so i have 4wd and i just made my differentials as replica to toyota solid axels all in all a nice rig you got keep up the good work man

i did something simular on a minitrike but the speed was WAY too slow so i tuned the engine up from stock 300rpm , to like 5-6000rpm and changed the gearing between the engine and the tranny , but all i got out of that was 40km/h , how did u do this?

@mrofffroad what i did was put 4" centrifigul clutch on engine changed the driven tranny pully from 6" to 3" removed the 60 tooth sprocket replaced with 22 tooth also increased the tire size from 19" to 26"

you know if you remove the diffrential gear and put a drive procket to the gears in side you can get a 6:1 drive ratio in top gear but the tranny will have to turn in the oppisite direction

1st off go to Pepboys look at there gokarts they all have engine and axle same assembly 2nd it hasnt fucked anything up its not a machine that does 100 mph and this was done with 12.5 hp MTD riding lawnmower with 5 speed gearbox with reverse works very well does 45 mph top speed does wheelies :)

@johnmartinez95 id say belt or chain driven to a shaft drive differential, just the differential with the shaft end facing vertical and weld a pulley, or cvt clutches, most likely chain on this because of the ofroad tires, and belts slip when wet, cvt would just allow for mor top speed on dry surfaces

yeah me and my friend modified a ol dingo. he had a 200x that caught fire when they were burnign leaves, some wires were trashed but the main electrical components engine was fine. we used the swingarm, but shortened it like 3-4 inches, just welded the back half of the 200s frame to the back of the rollcage behind the seat. built some air ducks. and the shifter was part of a pole, with the clutch lever on it so, you didnt have to use your foot when shifting just grabbed the shifter and went

Lawn Tractor transmissions require larger drive and smaller driven pully in order to get any speed. Go look at lawnmower racing sites and you will see what I am talking about. Without pulley mods you still have lawnmower sloooooow speeds. Hey, also, you have the whole drive train as one BIG swingarm which equals LOTS of unsprung weight. It's the same setup as on Cushman Truckster 3-wheelers.

Yes it would have, but I had the engine and gear box already Vertical shaft gives it a much cleaner look also.However I did test drive and it does wheelies with this set up.Just need couple remaining parts to call it finished

thanks again and I do still have the engine cover from the tractor I chopped up will be adding after 1st test drive hoping for wheelies as for a lift kit don't know of any kits that you can buy if you have a welder & sawzall you can modify.
