I think X5's sigma is the hardest, with his crazy 3/4 screen, huge hit attacks in his first form. Also X6 sigma is a joke zombie shuffling around and an awesome boss song second form that took me one try to kill.

@Masterkiller9000 I only played x4 and it took me much longer to kill the first boss:P(at least it was the "frost walruss"(i hope im right with the name^^). But from then I did it through in no time. Especially with the nice modifiers(infinite ammo-arm with the ability to strengthen your special attacks.

But I didn't say I couldn't beat it just that compared to zero, x with fourth armor is just not as good against sigma. With zero you can destroy those floating heads pretty easily and he doesn't have to charge. He also does a lot of damage to sigma.

The X series was always incredible, but this game really brought the X games to a whole new level. Better graphics, animated cutscenes, cooler bosses, going into character backgrounds. Honestly, this was my favorite X game of the series. How bad ass would a megaman X tv show be? And yes, they just need to finish X series and bridge it to zero series, even when known is, that zero series is next 100 years in the future, then zx is like 100 years in the future, and zxa next 100 years...but man, Legends are in megaman universum in 8000 year.

I don't think inafune made X and the megaman series one despite similar characters at first. legends wasn't related to any of them until the Zero and ZX games used similar things. But each series is still going and none will become the other. So the only planned continuation was X and Zero and that one doesn't work because you can't keep setting it after something that will probably never happend in X.

But they honestly don't work as a whole due to contradictions and the timelines getting too close(especially Megaman and X). What this means is that you could take the series as a blanket whole by ignoring some things but they weren't meant to, and you don't have to.

There's also the fact that technology is so low, almost similar despite how far off each one is(with the exception of ZX). Aside from the decimation in the X series towards its end(which they quickly recover by the next two games that weren't suppose to exist). The Decimation made since if it was going from X to Zero.

They try to write it off as some other war that happens but that was a sloppy retcon caused by capcom contiuning the X line. the thing being a timeline is something inafune started doing towards the Zero games but he's not even in the company now. They may not bother or they'll try harder but capcom probably doesn't care.

@FlameG102 X is built 30 years before the start of the X series but he is awoken early. That means its impossible for the X series to be 100 years after the original. It must be about 15 years later. Light looks exactly the same as he does in the original as well(originally the messages were recordings which they weren't by the second game). Even if its a little later in his life, it would still not be all that far apart.

I enjoyed the MegaMan Battle Network series becaue the animation was beautifully drawn. The parts I most enjoyed was the battle between MegaMan and Forte. I love Forte. And of course Zero from the MegaMan X series is my fave. I love Zero because he doesn't procrasinate. He gets his job done. Sad though he has to do all the work while MegaMan was programmed to be emotional. Uhh! Well, maybe that's a good thing. Eh.

Well technically Sigma is still apart of the series, if you have too fight him in x8. Even though he not the final boss, he still in here, and still getting destroy every game LOL. Sigma should seriously be long gone by now. I hope in X9 they make some spin off when his parts are like finally burn too dust, and a new Boss such as this Lumine becomes the new Boss.
